Hi Friends I have a 6235, bought last year (feburary 2006). at that time reliance had not started RIUM cards. This handset has RUIM card holder but the same is not active. Is their some legal way to convert this handset to RUIM enabled and at the same time get my number on a ruim card ??? moreover, doing so i do not want to loose my data (SMS, Calender and Address book entries).

i was happily using my 6235 for last 4months On my usage battery was giving a run time of around 3-4days. Last i talked on my mobile was at 10pm yesterday night Today at around 8:25am I heard a battery low kinda of sound. Took me hardly 5 seconds to reach the mobile and found it switched off (its around 2 days of runtime on a full battery charge) ... i kept phone on charging , it got charged by 10. in 10 minutes i saw the charge reduced by 2 bars my phone was loosing network as soon as i press the end key and the network comes back in 5 seconds. all og calls including *333 failed. if some one tried to call me he/she gets a unreachable IVR response. all other reliance phones were working properly in the colony. I kept the phone on charging and even till 1pm, it stopped charging itself. but as soon as i removed the charger it lost 1-2 charge display units.... called reliance... they said that since u are not able to make calls even to *333 please take the phone to a ASC........ tried to take backup of the phone from nokia pc-sync and back up was hanging at 25% (tried thru ir connectivity) on my way to ASC the phone suddenly allows me to make call (probably becaouse of change in BTS tower) but the battery was showing just 3 level of charge...... anyway, i have given the phone to ASC for observation. they confirmed me that there are no visible shot circuit or water damage. just wondering if any body else faced and similar problem.... if yes, what was wrong in the mobile... etc etc any comments from the gurus of handsets :-)

One India / One Nation / One Rupee Plans by various operators
amit_arya replied to kcvvenkit's topic in The Lounge
As per the information given by my local bsnl the handset is given FREE for the persons activating the 999 plan.. I think its like giving the telephone free for usage with our landline connection.. The phone may not be ours.. we can just use it. well it is gsm ... so just actiavte connection on a fraud address (like ppl did in reliance 500 sceme) throw the conenction , get the handset unlocked for other networks (just incase bsnl cared to get them locked) and voliaaaaaaaaaaaa u have a dirt cheap PDA handset......... and then u will have another insurance company crying.... is that history repeating itself... ????? -
