Kamal bhai some gyms will indeed take him at the age of 14 years. He will be put on cardiovascular exercises programme and no weight lifting. Supervision by a instructor is essential here. It is advisable to get him to gym by 16 years or older. In the mean time you can engage him with badminton tennis which will keep him brisk and healthy

Verizon is on a roll!

Greatest ji LTE is evolutionary path beyond 3G technology - following EDGE, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ as Rudradeep mentioned. It is seen as a part of the GSM family of technologies but the contradiction here is that LTE supports both FDD and TDD mode on the contrary GSM does not, it is strictly Time Division. And all roads lead to LTE - both GSM and CDMA operators can deploy of LTE (of course they need to have the license and spectrum!). CDMA biggies in the US like Verizon and MetroPCS are aggressively pursuing LTE and expanding the network. Verizon in fact have put up an ambitious plan to cover the whole of USA by 2013! To find out much more about the Verizon LTE network head to this Verizon website Hope this helps

Kamal bhai, teens experience a wide range of interests during the teen years, making it difficult to navigate the whole gift giving situation. Most of the time these interests are fickle so we have to foresee. Why not take him outside for a short tour and spend some quality family time with him Amusement parks will be a good idea, he will cherish it. Alternatively, Instill photography as a hobby If he like pets! Gifting a 14 year old money, however tempting it may be, is not advisable as it is likely to be squandered frivolously and also it lacks the "personalized" touch. Take some time and think out of the box! Hope this helps! Happy Hunting!

Karthik R replied to Honest's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Raccoon, shoot them a complaint to listen@tatadocomo.com By the way, one can make use of any channel to do the recharge. I myself have done a EC of Rs.500 from a local retailer and awaiting the bonus -
TATA Docomo deducting service tax for Full TalkTime Recharges
Karthik R replied to rajendra.jindal's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I got the point you were trying to put across. Their website provides misleading info that on recharges from 100 to 1000 bucks, one will get full talk value with no processing fee while in the actual practice they charge the same unless it is a full talk time denomination like Rs.222. Note some conditions given in finer print with * -

MNP - Which Operator to Choose in Various Cities?
Karthik R replied to rajanmehta's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
1. Both 900mhz and 1800 mhz are used by telecom operators in India. Benefits of 900 mhz band Signal coverage of 2 – 4 times than the 2100MHz band, resulting in a reduced number of base stations required for deployment. It also gives better indoor coverage in urban areas resulting in better quality of service. 2. 3G services are provided in the 2100 mhz band. Hope this clears your doubts -

Double Talktime Offer From Tata Docomo
Karthik R replied to Honest's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Just imagine what if Tatas decided to play a practical joke with your balance and sent the msg, "Hi! your monthly rental for Missed call alert, Hello tune, Cricket pack, News updates, Weather updates, Jokes, Health Pack... has been auto renewed and you are left with Rs.-10. Please recharge immediately to enjoy outgoing calls. To stop telemarketing msgs, SMS Start DND to1909" -
@ Raghu Sunderam Friend I just quoted the specs to be precise (and to sound sophisticated ). I have had them all - Mpower 699, LG 6300, Corby Speed, Metro Tv, LG cookie zip, Muzik 219 and presently using the Mpower txt M369. @ Punjabi Bro, the battery backup is good for a phone with the specified features and will last a day or two with moderate use. You can follow the reviews and snaps here Mpower txt M369

MTS has been allocated spectrum to provide mobile telephony services in all the 22 circles across the country. Also huge amounts are pouring in to expand its operations. So we can expect them to be a pan India operator in the near future

@ Avishek Ghosh Memory Samsung MPower TV S239 endows the user with 85MB of internal memory and can be expanded upto 16 GB with MicroSD card. With LG 6300 the figures are 21 MB and 4 GB respectively. Display Display is very good in S239 having screen size of 2.4 with 240 x 320 pixels resolution. LG 6300 the size is 2.0 inches, resolution being 176 x 220 pixels. Phone Book S239 supports upto 2000 entries while it is 1000 entries with LG6300. The keypad of S239 is more comfortable. Battery LG 6300 scores slightly well here with 1100 mAh battery. S239 has a 960 mAh one. Cam LG 6300 has a 2 MP cam whereas S239 got 1.3 MP only. Both are not satisfactory in this regard. It is not like LG 6300 is bad but Samsung MPower TV S239 is better If you are tired of Samsung Metro TV then go in for 6300.

Double Talktime Offer From Tata Docomo
Karthik R replied to Honest's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Note : There is no validity to this additional talk time. The validity of the Talktime will be the same as the current validity of talk time on your number You can register ONLY one Tata DOCOMO number from 1 FB account You can use any channel to do the recharge This offer is ONLY available on Regular Top-Ups - not on Special Recharge A very innovative approach indeed from a Indian teleco -
Samsung MPower TV S239 is a better choice compared to LG 6300. Alternatively if you are ready to shell out 6.6k, go in for Mpower TXT M369
