  1. Huawei C6100 Qwerty 2 Mp

    Any info about the price?
  2. Samsung Mpowertxt M369

There is no image available on the web on this phone so I thought of putting up some snaps for those interested in checking it out. The pics are of a high resolution and best viewed on Chrome Note the label on the top corner which proclaims CDMA 3G With the back cover open Switched on The phone displaying 1x and EVDO signals The menu display The Mobile TV application! It got content for everyone - CN for the kids, Star One for the Saas -Bahus, FTV for the perverts and BBC news the intenational person Note that you need to subscribe for each channel. You got options of 1 day subscription (Rs.7/day) to 1 month one. Data charges will also apply on streaming and playing video. The OMH sim card, headset and battery. OMH sim card is essential to use the data facilities, without it you can use it just for the calls and texts
  3. Please suggest a CDMA Handset

I will be more specific go for the Open Market Handsets of Samsung. I myself am using two of them - Samsung mpower Muzik 219 and Samsung txt m369. Since you are not going to avail EVDO or any data facilities - go for the 219. It got a sold battery of 1000 mAh, good signal reception and call quality and a very comforable keypad. + the phone got external memory card support and got a VGA cam too.
  4. Are the out of their minds? What are we going to ''upgrade'' to? The official handsets available with them are the ones of Haier, Huawei, ZTE and Samsung Hero. Then comes the grossly overpriced BB but that is immaterial here. Would the Open Market Handsets qualify and come under the benefits of the offer? It is just a way to clear their shelves at the end of the year.
  5. MTS Launch

MTS eyes 30% CDMA market share in Gujarat BS Reporter / Mumbai/ Ahmedabad December 03, 2010, 0:28 IST Having rolled out its prepaid CDMA mobile telephony services, MTS, in Gujarat, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) is now eyeing to grab a market share of 30 per cent in the state. Entering its 13th circle in the country, SSTL intends to build an MTS subscriber base of two lakhs for voice users and 6,000 data users by end of 2011. "“The launch of MTS services in Gujarat will provide mobile customers the access to our nationally successful half paisa per second tariff plan. In-addition to an unmatched tariff, our focus is also to provide a world class customer care service and add more value-for-money for customer through innovative products like Recharge Booster, where we give 25 per cent extra talk time with every subsequent recharge for a year. By 2011 end, we have a target of two lakh voice users and 6,000 data users. We are expecting a CDMA market share of 30 per cent in Gujarat," said Navid Rashid, Chief Operating Officer, Gujarat. SSTL's launch plan, spread across 245 towns and 5,000 villages, includes an investment of Rs 100 crore in Gujarat. These funds will be utilised in building the service network for MTS customers across the circle. Over the next 3 months, MTS customers would also be serviced by a network of over 150 dealers and 31000 retail outlets across the state. Going forward, MTS also plans to launch its high speed mobile broadband service in Gujarat under its flagship data brand 'MBlaze' by first quarter of 2011. Additionally, MTS plans to launch its post paid mobile services in the state by Q1 2011. "Mobile customers in Gujarat will now get to experience the services of a global brand like MTS, which stands for world class telecom services backed by seamless connectivity on a congestion free network," said Vsevolod Rozanov, president and chief executive officer, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL). Going forward, MTS also intends to establish a strong data services business in Gujarat. "In voice and data, we are looking at 80:20 ratio in urban areas, and 90:10 in rural areas in Gujarat. We want to be known strongly as a data brand as well," Rashid added. In a short span of time, MTS has secured over 7.5 million subscribers. The company is present in 12 other circles including Kolkata, West Bengal & Sikkim, Rajasthan, Chennai & Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bihar & Jharkhand, Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa, Delhi & NCR, Haryana, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. 6. Vote For The Best Anti-Virus!

Microsoft Security Essentials is very effective but it works only if genuine Windows is running otherwise it will detect another pirated version
  7. @Kesav BSNL got its sizeable chunk of loyalists in kerala. Before the ongoing mobile revolution most of us were contented with the landline we had at home I am having since past 15 years, so do most of my friends here. As we know a device working on wireline will always be more reliable than a wireless one.
  8. New STV 35

by quality of service, do you mean the network? If so, it purely depends on the place you are on I found the voice clarity of Uninor, which dont have towers of its own, slightly better than hyped RGSM. The date speeds though EDGE, fail to impress.
  9. Vote For The Best Anti-Virus!

Pretty suprising that of now, none voted for k7 considering that they are comparitively cheap - 3pc/600Rs. and that they advertise in Indian media. I have had used it for a few months and found it to be very effective.
  10. New STV 35

Works out to 2000 mins Uninor to Uninor and 700 mins to other networks. Really attractive pack.
  11. Fly Mobile, the brand that makes budget multimedia phones, announced the launch and availability of Fly circle (B435) - its latest QWERTY mobile handset. The phone has quite a few Multimedia Features and provides Social Networking. It’s a 10.5mm slim QWERTY phone, which, as the press release says “is the right choice for today’s skinny denim youth” as it slips in to your pocket. The thumbwheel provides a user-friendly interface. The complete Pandora box is priced at 3359/- According to Mr. Prem Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Fly Mobile, “Just like in fashion, the world of cell phones is a very design and feature driven industry. The B435 is a super-stylish, colorful and the unusual device for those who dare to be different. The Fly circle (B435) is adventurous in form factor without sacrificing features and usability. It is easily one of the best QWERTY phones that combine strong features as well as a good balance between business and entertainment, at a competitive price. The upcoming QWERTY series of FLY, is made with a MIDAS touch to bring the esthetic value and feature richness for enhanced digital lifestyle experience.” The best part about people quoting about “how awesome their product is” is the fact that they themselves lose track of what they really were talking about. I fail to understand how a strictly multimedia-only phone can really have a “good balance between business and entertainment”. We still want to see whether they really deliver as per claims and will look forward to give you a piece of our mind on the B435. Courtesy : tech2.in
  12. New developments that went unnoticed PSP Phone Not Playing PSP Games? WTF! By: Ashish Koshy | Nov 27, 2010 Yesterday we told you about the announcement date of the PSP phone, and quite some time back we also mentioned specs although they are not really confirmed for sure. Today there are some more rumors (and this time we pray and pray some more, that these are only rumors) about the PSP phone not being able to play PSP games. It also says that the phone won’t sell under the PlayStation logo, but rather will be a part of the XPERIA family. This might not affect those who are only looking for a bad-*** phone, but it definitely surprises those who game on the PSP and we have seen good titles coming to the portable gaming device (for evidence, check the God of War review) Sony Ericsson has chosen to make a different set of games and these will be compatible only with the phone. The games should all be below $10 (approx Rs. 450). The device will probably be launched at the MWC 2011 in February and Sony Ericsson targets a 500 US dollars (approx Rs. 22,900) retail price with 5 games included. So that’s about it for now. It's good that it runs on the latest Android, but not playing PSP games is certainly not cool! PSP Phone to be called Sony Ericsson Z1? By: Ashish Koshy | Dec 02, 2010 Remember the story of the PSP Phone not playing PSP games anymore and also it being a part of the XPERIA family? Well it seems that it won’t be a PSP phone after all (I honestly don’t want to classify it under the PSP category anymore). The phone is set to be rebranded as the Sony Ericsson Z1 as per sources. 13. Samsung Mpowertxt M369

@Fevin MTS Ivory carries a price tag of Rs. 13500.
  14. Do you think that Reliance and Tata are looking forward to the auction of CDMA 3G waves? After the hole that the GSM 3G counterparts dug on their pockets? I think that now only MTS is a serious contender for CDMA upliftment and development.
  15. New STV 35

I think that Tata Docomo offers a better value proportion on a recharge of Rs.45. It enable the user to make all local calls at 1p/2sec (which effectively cost 30p/min on long duration calls) valid for same 1 month.
  16. Media trial was well intentioned in Ruchika Girhotra case but will always remain a dangerous proportion. Media is not free and very well share the political bias and prejudice of its promoters.
  17. The pulse is 180 secs or 3 mins for STD and they will charge Re.1 or Rs. 1.2 according to the plan. So it is more like Pay Per Call plan that Reliance offer? Now did I tell you guys that I have had a BSNL LL connection since the last 10+ years?
  18. Videocon, Ducati Unveil New Rugged V6200 Phone

11K for a mobile named after Ducati is a shame for the brand. They should learn a lesson from Lamborghini who teamed up with ASUS to release the ZX1 at 47K. Now owning that is exclusivity
  19. Vote For The Best Anti-Virus!

So far only me rooting for Avira
  20. Which Is Better - 3G or EVDO?

I have used both technologies for a considerable period of time - EVDO with Tata Indicom and 3G with BSNL, Docomo. In my experience, EVDO was stable and always consistent in speed. But speedways 3G is fares better with sudden spurts at times. Data tariff is pretty high for EVDO so I am preferring 3G and 1x now.
  21. Lg 6300 ( CDMA )

Dolby Mobile is good with 5.1 surround sound over headset and all
  22. It was quite obvious that Rel will be on LTE with Qualcomm pushing it around, in fact they say it is the reason they participated in the BWA auction
  23. Health & Wellness

A very good initiative indeed by Dhiraj ji running after MEID registration with Rel and Tata we often move our health to second in priority list. I would like to add a simple tip that we hear all the time but is often over looked. Drink lots of water. About 8-10 glasses will do.
  24. Health & Wellness

@Honest Bro looks like it is your staple diet BTW, one confusion with the statement Never take liquor with soda.. Does soft drinks like Sprite come under the purview of soda?
  25. Zen Launches The "first" 3D Phone In India

Yup my bad. But I do remember one of our members posting about Spice 3D phone that is why I furiously posted at once I should have caught the scent of it when you wrote first like ''first''.
