  1. Just two weeks back, the official word have been that they are not in the network building business and that they don’t want to compete with network operators, which may be their clients. The goal was to secure 'the deployment of LTE in the country'.
  2. Zen Launches The "first" 3D Phone In India

Correct me if I am wrong but have not Spice launched a dual sim mobile featuring the same 3D functionality few months back. On Googleing it is confirmed as Spice M-67, a sub 5k device. How then can Zen claim to be the first?
  3. AirTel's 3G Roadpath

I disagree with the statement that Airtel is the ''leader'' in fake deductions Our dear own Reliance owns the post. At the height of its activity (I think after the 3G auctions when the needed to pay up) they deducted Rs.120 from my balance for friends chat pack, hellotune, astrology (they auto assigned me Aries though I am Leo but you know Mom Knows Best). I believe they are into 'Micro finance', deducting small amounts from the huge subscriber base. Airtel have been more considerate, they activated some obscene bikini pack and my monthly itemised statement prominently showed to my father that I have grown up and no longer his lil' kid. Come on Airtel! You know better that some sort of secrecy needs to be maintained in these matters I thought we had an agreement, I dumped them soon after that.. My Aircel connection also activates random hello tunes at times.
  4. Samsung Mpower TV S239

Yup it is not available in many. Have it with my latest acquisition - Samsung mPower txt m369
  5. They are from the same manufacturer of Mercury brand of computer components and peripherals.
  6. Reliance In Touch Customer Newsletter

maybe Reliance relied on a nursery girl to come up with that line. LoL
  7. Please Suggest A Gsm Handset

Nokia C1 (dual sim) available in all the stores here for 1.7K
  8. Samsung Mpower TV S239

Hi. Apple iPhone also does not have a 3.5 mm jack. It has a circular slot too, but is smaller in diameter than a normal 3.5 mm jack. There is a conversion adapter available in market, whose one end is compatible with the iPhone and the other end with the 3.5 mm jack. Using this, we can plug-in any headphone and listen to music from iPhone. What type of slot exists in Samsung for headset/earpiece? Is it similar to the one in iPhone? The one I was talking about, Mpower Muzik 219 have Samsung's own proprietory earphone and slot. The mid and higher range ones comes with the standard 3.5mm headset and its fitting slot.
  9. The incumbent operators - Airtel, Vodafone, etc which so far had the highest call tariff will reduce the same and offer tempting plans to check the above mentioned shift with MNP.
  10. Now I have a fair idea on why Tata Docomo didnt even get the start up spectrum in lucrative Delhi circle. Either they didnt pay the bribe asked for or the incumbent operators - Airtel, Vodafone,... fearing that TD will eat the share of their pie, offered more bribe!
  11. More Android OS powered handset in the affordable range - Motorola Quench XT3 (13k) and Dell xcd28 (11k)
  12. Lemon Mobiles Launches W100 3G Mobile Phone !

Nokia have launched two low budget 3G phones C2-01 and X2-01 which is priced conveniently at 4.3k and 5k. I think they are a better choice for anyone planning to buy a 3G handset.
  13. @raccoon okay I meant the mainstream handset manufacturers like Samsung, HTC, LG, etc and not runaway overnight chinese ones
  14. Switch to Tata Indicom, yet keep your mobile number! Yes! Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is finally here. Mobile Number Portability allows you to keep your existing telephone numbers when you switch operators. With MNP, now you are free to switch to Tata Indicom and enjoy superior network, digital voice clarity, value for money plans and attentive customer service. Now go for it without worrying about having to change your number! Here’s how: To enjoy the benefits of the TATA Indicom network, simply send an SMS: Port SPACE <Mobile Number> through the number to be Ported out to the toll free number 1900. A Unique Porting Code would be generated through which the porting process would be initiated. On generation of the UPC, you will have to fill in the CAF and submit the mandatory documents as prescribed by DOT at the nearest TATA outlet.
  15. New 3G Page in Reliance Communications Website!

They still have not specified a particular date yet, have they? Like the rest of herd they promise 3G ''by year end''.
  16. Reliance In Touch Customer Newsletter

See the attached image in the original post ...with the state-of-art features, our range of handsets will definitely make you go eeny meeny miney moe... In that case they will suffer a HEART ATTACK if they happen to see the likes of handsets and smartphones our Gurus have made available!
  17. The incumbent operator from whom the user ports out is not supposed to contact them!
  18. great device for the price
  19. Spice have lauched their android device - MI 300 and MI 410 with really good specs but is little over priced at about 10k and 15k. Micromax launching it at sub 10k is a great move as now the masses can afford and experience the coolest OS around IMHO, I think it wont be practical to have an Android device at 5k - 7k as Google seeks, anyway not in the near future.
  20. Tata Docomo is the only private operator to offer 3G right, so it is a duopoly market with the other player BSNL being inefficient. So I guess they will 'skim the market of cream' and reduce the data tariff further when the rest of Airtel, Vodafone, Rcom, Idea, etc launch their service at the end of the year.
  21. Samsung Mpowertxt M369

Got an OMH Sim card today after sending a dozen mail to CC. Im with Tata Indicom by the way EVDO got activated and I'm loving it The Mobile TV application that comes inbuilt with the phone is not free - you will have to subscribe for the channels
  22. BSNL Goes Cash Negative

Why am I not suprised? BSNL is an example of mismanagement of the highest order.
  23. Kesav, the MNP operator like Telecordia does not even have passive infrastructure in any of the states. While the all the telecom operators are having Customer Relationship Points in all major cities. So they are better equipped to handle these the CAF and other documents that the porting subscriber have to submit Also any query by user about the porting operator's plans and policies could be satisfactorily answered by the operator himself.
  24. wonder when the corporates will start behaving RESPONSIBLY. More than half the rural household in India are without electricity and find their way through darkness when the night creeps in. Those in the cities face frequent power outages and this man is wasteing so much resources! The house's fuse should be rightly unplugged by the Government.
