Software For Ringtones & Wallpapers
karpar replied to StaticElectricity's topic in Tutorial and Guides
im not static but then, the latest version of bitpim is only 0.7.14. check out http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ for more information... -
thanx for the fast reply hritikmahi! and yes, i am planning to make some changes, you tell me what to do!
-
none whatsoever static, but dont always get technical!!! it looks better now...though it IS a fact and i WAS making a statement and NOT a query... anyway, ive always thought if there was any way to add words to the dictionary...this method is good enough.
-
one, the idea was awful in its entirety. two, the phone doesnt save the msgs. if it is out of signal area, it simply says "error in n/w" and you have the option to click on "back" only which takes you to the messages menu. i dont know if they have updated this bug, im using ver 11. and mods, why is bb's(i agree with gtran_rocks) status being shown as "validating" instead of "members"?
-
are you positive on that? no side effects with deleting it? and who changed the title of the topic??? it isnt a major difference, but its still changed!

google was the one who expanded our mailboxes after all, yahoo kept shrinking its and it was giving out only 4mb against 6mb it used to offer before...now it suddenly is able to offer a whopping(compared to the previous size) 100mb! btw, my new 4mb a/c got expanded to 6mb only though my previously 6mb a/c got expanded to 100mb, wonder what went wrong...
-
reliance should be expanding its facilities further... they should be allowing recorded voices to be sent as mms and also allow pics to be uploaded into the phone using a data cable. the tones provided are awful! the pics in r world are not bad, but nothing beats personalization!
-
i sure hopes someone makes a program for that soon, im sick of fighting with the keypad of the 2030 i have...
-
bored's brother, i had asked a friend of mine to send a ringtone from his nokia handset(he uses an airtel conn.), i never recieved the message. considering your plight, i think this is way better! (i have an lg rd2030)
-
i havent upgraded it though i knew of the updates in the software because i didnt want to spend time overwriting the tones and wallpapers that ive uploaded with bitpim with ones in the rworld. is it actually legal to do it? i mean, using bitpim to upload the tones and the wallpapers? its our phone after all...

Lg 2030 Usb Data Cable Cannot Install As Modem
karpar replied to ranjan2001's topic in Data services
code, the driver files come with the extension .inf. how come it doesnt recognise only the usb cable??? try this one last time... 1. uninstall lgusbconvertor driver(previous installation) 2. restart w/o plugging in the usb cable. 3. run the cd that came along with your cable. 4. select lg rd2030 and usb cable. it will install the relevant drivers and automatically reboot. 5. the software will run automatically upon rebooting. THIS TIME, SELECT LG RD2030 AND SERIAL CABLE. 6. it will show a screen that has a port selection options, choose your relevant port after connecting the usb cable. windows will recognise your cable, just keep pressing NEXT and the installation should complete w/o any hassle. 7. click on YES in the rconnect window and it WILL detect the phone and install the rest of the drivers and the rconnect dialer. and the most important of all, convince yourself THIS IS GOING TO WORK before you start, and upload the pic of the window with the port selection options and the yes button after you click on serial cable just so that i know you did it right... -
cmon guys, vote! gtran 4020 is the second most popular set apart from lg rd2030... its a pity only 3 votes have been registered so far...

Tutorials for Uploading Ringtones on LG2030
karpar replied to ngcoderq's topic in Tutorial and Guides
hey net_secrets, static better not see your post...he'll pull his hair out! search the forum for ringtones and you will find a guide posted by static specifying why you cant delete the preloaded ones... a simple explanation? they are stored in the rom of your phone and the contents stored in rom cannot be modified. i guess if u have an eeprom reader/writer, it is possible... -
my 2030's version is just 11 and im not able to recieve or make calls when i switch over to line 2. it just recognizes the network, but apart from that, it is useless.

and its really useful for lazy guys like me!!! it sure is fast!

Lg 2030 Usb Data Cable Cannot Install As Modem
karpar replied to ranjan2001's topic in Data services
isnt there a file called LGUsbConverterDriver.exe in the folder called LGUSB? You have to run that file... If you can't find the FTDI Serial USB driver in your ADD/REMOVE prgs, run ftdiunin.exe to uninstall any partial installations and try again. I think the LGUsbConverterDriver.exe in the folder called LGUSB is just the frontend for the file installusb.exe in your screenshot, so try running that if you can't find the previous file. If none of the above works, then tell me and I'll send you the drivers... (I'm basically lazy to upload a 3.26MB file)! -
i had that problem too. i followed a very "simple" way. i reverted back to xp. the drivers are not supported by win 2003.
-
I suggest you guys include an "UNOFFICIAL" before the "RELIANCE INDIA MOBILE DISCUSSION FORUM" and also centrally align the "R" symbol. I'm not sure about the legal technicalities. Hope there are none...IGNORANCE IS BLISS!

Lg 2030 Usb Data Cable Cannot Install As Modem
karpar replied to ranjan2001's topic in Data services
i guess i have the same things to say that code did... i too have the same configuration that code has, as far as reliance is concerned... -
guess i got into the bandwagon a bit late... code, what exactly do you mean by "more sophisticated"? does it have more features? if yes, could you detail them?

Lg 2030 Usb Data Cable Cannot Install As Modem
karpar replied to ranjan2001's topic in Data services
did you install all the drivers for the usb cable??? open add remove prgs from control panel and check if LGUSBCONVERTERDRIVER and FTDI USB SERIAL CONVERTER DRIVERS are present. if any of them arent, i suggest you unistall the one thats present and start all over again. anyway, try once more...follow the instructions given to a T upto the point where you have to restart. its worked for me, thats why im so sure. -
it could be coz the rate of the battery being charged is quite less compared to the desktop charger and the phone is programmed to save as much power as possible for quick charging. moreover, vibrating takes a whole lot of power which could be why it was left out when "travel charging" it. i cant account for the low volume though...

Lg 2030 Usb Data Cable Cannot Install As Modem
karpar replied to ranjan2001's topic in Data services
ranjan, i know your trouble coz its the same i faced... what you have to do is, first install the driver for the usb cable which you have already done...then when the system reboots, you still find the next button deactivated. this is because after rebooting, you selected lg rd2030 with usb again. instead of that select lg rd2030 with SERIAL. select the port as COM4. click on YES. it will detect the phone and install it. remember to connect the phone with the usb cable to your cpu before doing this.
