Had no issues rooting EC05 with CWM3 , only thing to remember is that once CWM3 completes FS conversion to EXT4 we need to immediately flash from revovery any of the latest ROMs which have kernels with EXT4 support. I personally am on SRF 1.1 ROM themed with Emotionless Beast theme Well, this is my personal experience - go for CWM3 only if you are sure , coz there are differing opinions on whether it is advisable to go for CWM3 on EC05

Trying Mystery's Emotionless Beast theme over Syndicate Frozen 1.1 ROM Kinda different..... Only bug found is that chequered background in stock browser returned

Flashed the new Syndicate 1.1.0 ROM over stock EC05 No reboots or other issues found other than loss of wired tether, though wifi tether works fine. Had to flash ROM twice to get it going, both times wiped cache/ data 3x Take Nandroid backup prior to flashing ROM , as this wipes data Here's what I did 1) ODIN'd back to DI18 2) OTA'd to EC05 3) Copied ACS Frozen 1.1.0 ROM 'zip' file to sdcard 4) rooted using CWM3, which on reboot to recovery converted FS to EXT4 5) after FS conversion wiped cache / data 3x from recovery and flashed SRF 1.1.0 ROM zip file 6) rebooted to CWM3 recovery, flashed cache / data again 3 times and flashed once more zip file of SRF ROM

Is it possible to root with CWM3 after updating to EC05 ? coz I'm not able to root with CWM3 from stock EC05 - once CWM 3 install completes and FS conversion completes on reboot, my phone does not boot properly next time and just vibrates with blank screen. So I had to ODIN back to DI18, update to EC05 and root with CWM 2.5.5, which is OK Earlier when on EB13 I could do the following succesfully 1)install CWM 3.0.6 2)install dual FS kernel on reboot to recovery 3) install deodexed EB13 ROM 4) install multiple custom ROMs like ACS Frozen 1.0.2, Bonsai 3 etc 5)ODIN just the EC05 modem But now from stock EC05 not able to boot into android after installing CWM3 - when I try to install the Bonsai 4 zip after CWM 3 , it throws error 'get prop.id'
-
ODIN to DI18 and flash the EC05 'update.zip' that u can get from xda. This has worked perfect for me. Also I have rooted using CWM 2.5.5 post update.

updated modem to EC05 via ODIN, also flashed Bonsai 4 ROM. Everything OK as of now.

Also phone gets too hot while charging.

I've got USB tether (also mobile hotspot) working in Pixi Plus on Tata. This is what you need to do 1) First download and install Terminal app from Preware 2) You will need to use vi - the default editor in Unix ( try to get the basics of vi, on how to edit files usig vi - google /wikipedia is your friend) 3) Launch terminal on your pixi , and enter the following command : mount -o remount,rw / this enables read/write access to the system. 4)The next command will open a file in vi: vi /etc/network/options You should see a file with 3 lines starting with ipforward=no. we want to change 'no' to read 'yes' using vi's commands, then save and quit ('esc' then ":wq" then enter). 5)Edit the if-down file: vi /etc/pmnetconfig/if-down move down (press 'j') to the line that reads ${LOG} "${ECHO} 0 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward"Add # to the beginning of that line. The next line should read ${ECHO} 0 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward Add # to the beginning of this line also. This prevents these commands from happening which disables the ip forwarding. 6)Now you need to create a dummy file so that PmNetConfigManager will write to it instead of the real ip_forward file. Start by creating a similar folder to keep it in.: mkdir-p /media/cryptofs/fake/sys/net/ipv4 then ln -s /media/cryptofs/fake /fake n -s / Now create a 0 byte 'ip_forward' file with : touch /fake/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward 7)The next file to edit is much larger and is mostly not formatted as text. It is the actual PmNetConfigManager service. Lets make a backup copy: cp /usr/bin/PmNetConfigManager /usr/bin/PmNetConfigManager.orig Now we have to stop the service so we will be able to save the changes. type: stop PmNetConfigManager Now enter vi /usr/bin/PmNetConfigManager search for proc/sys (use /proc/sys) and change "proc" to "fake". Now after saving, PmNetConfigManager will use our dummy file. You can now start PmNetConfigManager tart PmNetConfigManager 8) One last file to edit:vi /etc/pmnetconfig/if-up Goto the bottom line and add a line with iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o rmnet0 -j MASQUERADE and one with iptables –append FORWARD –in-interface usb0 -j ACCEPT then save and quit. 9) finally you should make the file system read only again : mount -o remount,ro /uand enable the USBnet ethernet device.Go to USB Passthrough Control and usbnet enable usbnet enable your phone should restart and then your pc will detect a new hardware device an RDNIS ethernet gadget. Get the driver for Pixi from "http://giotorious.org/webos-internals/usbnet-pre/blobs/raw/master/windows/usbnet-pre.inf" After that finishes up, go to network connections and find the new "Local Area Connection X" (X will be a number) Right click it then choose properties, then find the "internet protocol (tcp/ip)" and click it then click properties. Configure the new ethernet device to use IP 192.168.0.203 with gateway 192.168.0.202, and DNS Server 121.242.190.180 Install 'freeTetherD - Network Routing and Address Translation Service' from Preware That's it , you should be able to tether your Pixi Plus to your PC. Please take a backup copy of all the files mentioned above before editing them. Do your own research, I've only reproduced what I could gather from Googling. Gurus please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.

if u r referring to the usbnet driver , try this link http://gitorious.org/webos-internals/usbnet-pre/blobs/raw/master/windows/usbnet-pre.inf

I went to Cyanogenmod 7 Alpha from ACS Frozen 1.0.1. After trying CM 7 for some time I went back to ACS Frozen 1.0.1 by restoring earlier backup on ACS. But now I have lost root and don't have su. Earlier I had rooted stock DI18 using OneClick 2.5 CWM, and after applying EB13 update.zip had rooted again using CWM 3.0.6. After converting to ext4 filesystems and flashing dual fs kernel, I had succesfully flashed ACS Frozen 1.0.1 with no issues. Only on reverting back from CM7 I have lost root. So to regain 'su privvileges' can I do CWM 3.0.6 OneClickRoot again ?
-
No need.. just flashed again Syndicate ROM , and everything is OK now, except absence of wired tether
-
I have switched to ACS Syndicate ROM Frozen 1.0.1 since yesterday, it's faster than Bonsai. No issues noticed till now, except that I have lost wired tether, though wireless tether works fine. GPS too locks pretty fast. Also there is no TouchWiz, and there are no default wallpapers. Don't know whether there's any way to get default wallpapers. CM7 alpha has been released for Epic. Will give it a try when a more stable release comes, coz Alpha release has issues with GPS and bluetooth.

After installing CWM 3 with ext4 FS conversion and flashing Bonsai 3.0, I'm had difficulty in loading sdcard in mass storage mode to copy files to / from pc. To correct this I selected USB tethering mode once and disconnected after confirming that tethering worked fine. From then on I have been able to load sdcard in mass storage mode. No reboots or FC's for me - 'Touchwood' GPS locks pretty fast in Froyo, also Sprint Hotspot works. Now waiting for Gingerbread
-
For me Bonsai works like a charm with Ext 4 conversion
-
It's working like a charm for me ,post update via 'update.zip'. Only isue I had was with the orientation, which got corrected with horizontal calibration. Oh yeah.... there's one issue - stock browser s**ks big time with the chequered background, and buggy response while scrolling.
-
Sprint hotspot works fine after update. Frankly, post update, it’s not as bad as it's made out to be Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

Does flashing Dameon's Deodexed EB13 ROM over stock EB13 offer any benefits, other than ability to flash custom themes

I've a rooted, nand unlocked HTC Incredible with Froyo 2.2 - Today I received notification for system update Is it ok to go ahead and update OTA ? regards ananth
-
BTW why don;t you update ? Haven't seen any issues with official Froyo on Incredible.
-
Flashed using 'update.zip' on rooted DI18. Rooted using one-click-2.5. No problems seen, everything works fine, also definite improvement in GPS is seen.
-
Still no signs of Froyo OTA Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
ananth001 replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
don't forget reliance infcomm allowed it's subscribers to roam accross India with a 7 digit landline number on a mobile. It;s Mukesh bhai, and rest assured he can get ANYTHING done. More importantly he knows the telecom business and will commoditise broadband for the masses.
