  1. All about Nokia 6235

Hi, I lost my 6130 a week ago, and had to buy this phone in a hurry. While the phone has great features and the nokia advantage, I would definitely not recommend upgrading from LG RD 6130 to this phone. The nokia phone is not that much better. I would recommend waiting for a better nokia phone. I myself wanted to do that, but couldn't because I lost my phone. If you want to upgrade from another lower phone, then go for it. I will post a more detailed review later, along with a comparison to the RD6130, need to rush right now. Bye.
  2. All about LG 6130 - Camera Phone

Hi people, This is my first post on this forum, and I spent most of my time reading this thread. I've been a Reliance customer since May 2003. I had an LG 2030 earlier, and in Dec 2004, I upgraded to the 6130. One of the coolest features that I found in the 6130 (that hasn't been mentioned here yet), is the recent number memory in the SMS and MMS sending process... Basically when you're done typing the SMS and you go to Send, Options > Last will give a list of the last 30 or so numbers that you have sent smses to (numbers and email-ids in case of the MMS). I don't know if this was there in other high-end models, but it definitely wasn't there in 2030. This feature makes my life so easy. The email address that I use as my album is almost always the first one on the last list in the MMS menu, and the numbers I frequently send sms to are also there on the last list, so neither do I have to go hunting in the phone book, nor do I need to remember the number.. Another cool thing is that you can assign quick call numbers, and just dial the quick call number in the send screen and press <Down> to select the number. even easier than going into the last menu. Little details like this make the phone a breeze to use. One feature that I miss, which was ironically there in the 2030, is the ability to save a number from inside the text of an SMS. While they added the send contact info feature (ability to insert a number from your phone book into an sms), it was wierd to remove the save number feature. Also, it would have been better if the send contact info would also include the name of the sender instead of just the number. Unfortunately, I got wet last Saturday in the deluge of rains that is pouring on Bangalore right now, and my poor phone took the toll . The screen has probably conked off, and will take some significant contribution from my pocket with it to its grave. I'm missing my phone so much... On a parallel note, a lot of the wishlist features on this thread (Bluetooth, IR, etc.) have been introduced in Nokia 6255. I considered changing to that handset, but am holding back waiting for more reviews... Any one else thinking along the same lines???
