@koolguy716 u must be joking? it took me 17 days to download visual studio (2.8gb) from rapidshare when i was on rconnect speed was 14-15KBPS server rapidshare and i use to download 200mb/day 10pm to 6am and some time 100mb due to power faliure or disconnection because of electricity fluctuation so better purchase the dvd of vista beta from street

@ hpnasik yep u r right with r connect u can download 5-6gb /month but with data 1 u can download upto 5gb in just 6-7 hour and that also by paying Rs500/month so using r connect for unlimited download is waste of time, resources, money (electricity bill!! telephone bill) r connect is good for surfing on the move but not for mass downloading. and i think it is very difficult to keep rconnect up for 24 hour!!!! it has lots of problem and specially problem with electricity when electricity flow in not stable!!!!!- ps :- btw i use to download 300mb /day when i was on freedom @night plan

if bsnl broadband/ dialup is available in ur area than go for bsnl ! rim really s**ks. in case if it is not available than go for airtel gprs its tariff start from 90 to 350 depend on state. phone with class 10 gprs speed =8KBPS othe phone = 5KBPS edge with class 10 GPRS =15KBPS some people even told that they r getting 20KBPS+ speed and they don't have data cap. even tata is good but its speed is dam slow

Server was Microsoft and time 3.84am here in our area there r only 2 bsnl broadband users its credit goes to bsnl employes and that is the real picture I am not a Photoshop expert !!! i am enjoying my time with bsnl broadband and it dosent matter for me whether any body believe it or not !!! previously i was on gprs (5kBps download speed ) so i can understand the pain of a dialup user btw here is another proof online speed test during peak hour 8.42pm http://thakur.dheeraj.googlepages.com/1.4mps.JPG this time 2 simultaneous download 1from rapidshare (it s**ks ) and other 1 from microsoft only rapidshare download speed (speed little bit improved) again server microsoft file type video and speed 250KBPS + @abhay thanx for ur support

here is the screen shot of download speed 247KBPS and it is stable between 230KBPS-260KBPS

get data one and if u want unlimite wireless internet than go for airtel. if u have edge handset with class10 support and if edge is available in ur area than u may get download speed between 15-20KBPS kilo byte per second otherwise 5-6KBPS and yeah freedom @night s**ks for sure

but question is who will upgrade bsnl employes? i paid the connection charge + modem charge 2200 28 days back and they promised me that i'll get the connection with in 2-3 days but i am still waiting for broad band connection
