Success ! Well friends, I was actually able to connect to the LG Link software. Well what I did was to start the LG Desktoplite programme. Close it. In the task bar you see an icon of LG Sync. Right click on that. Exit. Start the Lg Link progrmme. The Software asks for two passwords. 1) Phone password- Default 0000, (unless u have changed it). 2) your password- enter as per your wish (and DONT FORGET IT). Bingo ! you are connected to the LG Link. Now, you can download all the photographs that you have clicked. Disappointment, however is that you cannot upload any photographs, ringtone etc to the phone. I Find this DISGUSTING. IS the uploading to phone problem with me only or others also. If any body has any clue please tell me. How do I upload pictures and Ringtones to my cell remains a BIG mystery. Please help.

Hi, I am also using the Cheetah USB cable and its working great for RCOnnect and for LG Desktoplite, however the LG Link software is not working. I am also getting the same problem. I have discovered that the Cheetah USB Cable is not a true USB cable, it is actaully a Serial cable with a USB interface. The Serial-to-USB converter driver installed for the cable during the installation is 'Prolific USB to Serial COnverter'. For best results with the Cheetah USB Datacable follow this sequence:- 1) Uninstall all the drivers that you installed with the cabel. 2) Go to Control Panel-System - Hardware- device manager- Ports. Here you should find ''Prolific USB to Serial COMM port' uninstall it. Close control panel. 3) Go to Control Panel- Phone & Modem- modems- remove the old version of LG USB Modem. 4) Remove the data cable. Restart. 5) On Restart- attach the data cable. The Machine will detect a new hardware. Install the driver for the'Prolific USB to Serial COnverter' from the CD. 6) Attach the Phone to the Data CAble. Manully install the Modem USING LG 6130 'SERIAL' MODEM DRIVER downloaded from Reliance infocomm site. DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE ON THE CD. Restart and you should not have any problems regarding Rconnect and LG Desktoplite, however there still an issue with the LG Link software. If you are not facing any issues with your current installation of Cheetah USB datacable, dont MESS with it. LUV

Hello friends, I have just joined the 6130 club and beleive me I am fascinated by the phone. However there are some queries that need to be resolved; 1. How do I make the pictures that I have cliked as wallpaper? 2. How do I upload ringtones/ Photos directly to the phone? I have a Cheetah DATA cable that is working fine for the net and LG Desktoplite however the LG_link softwware doesnt work. Help me please.

I Hope the new software has the following; 1. The ringtone should be heard even in the Handsfree earphone, which is not case right now. 2. The Phone book should be easier to browse. 3. We should be able to Reject Incoming calls without opening the Flap. 4. Downloading of Java Games should be made possible. 5. Downloading e-books onto the phone (as it is possible on the Gtran same model available abroad) 6. Video files should be downloaded onto the phone. 7. The USB cable should also charge the phone while connected. 8. There should be a facility to add phone numbers to either the RUIM or to the Phone memory and a combined directory should be available for use. 9. Can some one please tell me how to reject an incoming call without opening the flap in a Gtran phone. Also is it possible to load Java Games on the phone using data cable?

Its Shoking ! I am also trying to acess the Yahoo grps using Rconnect, but of no use. I was under impression that its a problem at my end. However I know now that its Reliance's misendeavour. This is a breach of our trust. Reliance Infocom must be taken to task for blocking the site Yahoo Group. This amounts to infringement of right to informatiom act. I hope the guys at Reliance gain back their senses. AMEN.

Hi friends! I am Sunil Bharti, doesnt my name sound Familiar ? Well I am not the Sunil Bharti of the Bharti (Airtel) cellular ! (Hope I was.) I have the RD2030 for almost a year now and i was really frustrated with it lately. I wanted to change the handset for a colour but u know the Reliance guys ! They were asking the earth for the colour handsets. So I started looking for some software to tweak around with the phone. And LO ! i stumbled upon this group. I must tell you Now I dont need to change the handset fro atleast the near future. I thank all u guys for making the DULL RD2030 a beauty with new wallpapers and Ringtones. I am sure a lot more would be done. If any new software is developed and u want feedback I wud be glad to try and give the feedback. LUV u all Sunny !!
