  1. Jio network engineer just reached out to me. They want to install a small cell site at my house and want to check feasibility of the same. Anyone has got such a setup done. They said they will make an agreement and also pay for the electricity charges. I have no prior experience and knowledge on this. If anyone has gone for the same or has an update on this please share.
  2. No such phone i am aware of , the next best i would feel is Motorola, but the specs would be lower. Both the Play and Power are good phones. Depending on budget. Play has dual 4G slots and both sim support 4G. Power has better battery backup. Both support Volte come with stock android and work well.
  3. All the issues currently happening would be one of the reasons they may extend the offer to 31st March. As they are testing and making sure, post commercial launch everything runs smooth. Plus they also want to target 100 million customers. MNP has started in Bangalore too now, just heard from a friend.

    It works. Post installing turn internet off. Then click on get Jio sim it will go to next page and give error as no internet connection is there. . Go back turn internet on and click immediately on get Jio sim. Follow the steps and check and it should work. I did the same last week to get a code. Sent from my MI PAD using Tapatalk
  11. They have even launched the Gigabit Fibre broadband in pilot phase and few areas. The speeds seems to be good. Unfortunately nothing in my area, no jio link no Giga fiber internet.
  12. Currently MNP is only happening for Jio employees thats the update i got from a Jio distrubutor. Not yet started for the masses.

    For my Xt 1526, it is capturing the APN automatically and there is no need to put the jionet APN for the data and sim to work. It seems to be working on 850 Mhz frquency. If your phone is from US, try switching the network to Global and see if that helps. i was able to get my phone working by doing the same step.

    You can use any of the Airtel 4G routers with jio, the Huawei B310 and Zte MF29 , have been unlocked by users and can be used with jio sims for 4G data.

    I was able to get jio voice working. Pretty happy with the same. At least i can put my Xt 1526 which i got for cdma to good use now.

    The idea device is similar to one sold by Airtel and others. I heard it can be unlocked and used with Jio.

    No need to uninstall the app. The jio sim will work on all the phones where you have jio voice configured. There is no need to uninstall the app or verfiy otp also. Once you do that the sim works in all those phones where you have jio voice setup. This has been tried and tested by me. I have used the same jio voice sim in 3 device with jio voice app and it worked fine. Used in One plus One, Moto E Xt1526 and Redmi 2 Prime. On all the 3 devices it works fine, i can swap it anytime and it works, it does not ask to verify OTP.

    For folks having delay in activation. Do one thing, Post activation you would have got an order number stating we have received your new connection application request. Log on to twitter and tweet to jiocare with your order number and inform them about the same. They are able to process the activation faster . I did the same for my sim.
  20. I am interested in buying the same for using with Jio, is it easy to unlock on your own as i heard you need to do some firmware update and make changes for it to accept jio apn. Can you share the steps or guide how to go about doing the same. Unfortunately in my area i am not finding this model easily and where it is available people are asking too much for the same.

    They do, as the Lyf phone sims have been moved to welcome offer, they are working in all the phone. I am personally using the sim that came with my lyf phone with different handsets and its working fine without any issues.

    Also another thing i noticed is that , with the jiofi device the orange color bundle sims are being given. While for the regular customers under the welcome offer the blue sims are being given which do not have a number and when the form is filled and uploaded automatically online with Aadhar details a number is generated by the system which gets activated on the phone.

    Issue resolved, there was one step that was missed out due to which it was not working . That is under the network settings you need to enable Global. If you have it as LTE or any other option it would not work. Learned it the hard way
  24. They have done it for most of the JPO offer customers who bought lyf phones. Only the folks using Jio fi still have unlimited plans still active.

    Strange part is data and hotspot is working fine. Only issue with jio voice and this pop up message, it is happening on multiple sims. So i am sure it is not something in the phone.
