  1. I second it. There's very huge market for CDMA Iphone in India. Even 5% of Indian telecom market will overshawdow any other CDMA market in the world(except for USA).
  2. Dear Karthik, It doesn't matter whether they've rolled out the n/w now or not. It's doesn't matter whether they've enough subscriberss or not. It's all about whether they were meeting initial elgibility criteria at the time of application. Even DoT has accepted that they were actually not meeting the inital eliglibility criteria at the time of application. Show causes notices will be shooted to them within next week asking why their licenses shouldn't be terminated. Let us hope DoT will give proper exit path for all the subscribers of the players involved by requesting other incumbents to bid for inducting these affected subscribers into their n/w.
  3. LG 6400 OMH

Some more pics on this phone
  4. India extends BlackBerry deadline on data sharing source :: http://in.news.yahoo.com/43/20101012/836/tbs-india-extends-blackberry-deadline-on.html This is just disgusting and terribly setting bad precedence. Why on earth Govt. is so reluctant to ban till solution is provided by RIM, it can be either Nov 30 or Dec 31 or anything else ? This kind of soft-pedalling on the critical issues of national security only shows the our Govt.'s weakness infront Global political powers. Just think, either USA, Isreal, China or Russia would have given such reprieve. Common on Govt...... Just remember, you are elected by Indian citizens and not by western corporates.....Please, just think in terms protecting lives of people.
  5. Raja In Russia

WOW.....Very nice equation... I never thought on this line....
  6. EVDO rev. A supports both voice and data simultaneously but operators have to deploy it on their n/w something called as VORA (Voice over Rev A).
  7. It'll be interesting to know whether they'll bundle 3G Dual Mode(EVDO/HSDPA) USB dongles (Example :: ADU-630W in the link ) for seamless coverage across their HSDPA/EVDO network. It'll be also interesting to know which version of HSDPA they'll launch...3.6 Mbps or 7.2 Mbps or 10.2 Mbps or 14 Mbps.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aK5QIDfbok Good Ad..... Nice to see TATA making first step in 3G.
  9. Dual Mode 3G Handsets

    Definitely.......
  10. BlackBerry wins UAE reprieve, looming ban halted source :: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/international-business/BlackBerry-wins-UAE-reprieve-looming-ban-halted/articleshow/6712440.cms It looks like RIM has solution to the problem. Let us hope for the best....................
  11. Internet Explorer market share dips below 50 per cent source :: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/internet/8045872/Internet-Explorer-market-share-dips-below-50-per-cent.html I'm just wondering why CCI(Competition Commission of India) cannot replicate what EU(Europen Union) commission has done. Why can't CCI bring ballot box to India?...After all we say we're the largest democracy of the world...
  12. For me, text near to that signal bars looks like "1x CDMA" and "EVDO" but I'm not sure since the picture resolution is very poor. It's normal that almost all 3G phones will have separate bars for 2G and 3G.
  13. There's an opinion in online world about the speed which we get through wireless technologies. With all parameters(signal strength, protocol, processor) reamining same, the following is the speed equation on computers. In-built wireless Modem > USB Modem > Tethered Mobile Is the above equation a myth or reality? Experts opinion awaited.....
  14. Tethering techonology doesn't matter as we always know tethering technology speed(either WiFi/Bluetooth/USB) is much much greater than cellular speed even if you consider latest WiMAX/LTE on the signal side. Just consider speed of the standard on the Desktop/Laptop side is much greater than Cellular side for this discussion and then think whether that equation is true.
  15. India hopes to get automated access to BlackBerry messenger services from January source :: http://www.totaltele.com/view.aspx?ID=459214 It looks there is some ray of hope after a long treacherous journey. Let us pray that it's genuine hard real time access solution and not some camouflaged time-shift solution to fool Govt.
  16. I'm not talking about internet in mobile but about Internet through mobile (mobile tethering) in Desktop/Laptop

  22. My dear friend your observation is true as far as BB handsets are concerned but BES(which is under fire)is something which is very limited to corporate guys even now. Common on my dear friend....Is it logical to even dream that Mr. Crow (RIM-VP) is fighting for the privacy of a common man????
  23. If operators fake 2G subscriber numbers, they'll get 2G spectrum. They'll not get any 3G spectrum by faking 3G subscriber numbers.
