BlackBerry, Skype, Gmail and now 3G come under the scanner of Indian Government
kesav replied to faizone's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Yeah we completely understand that RIM is concerned about its corporate customershooligans(read as Ambanis, Mittals, Birlas etc.,) who wants to launder money without allowing Govt. to eavesdrop into them and find their fudged figures. Yeah we understand for RIM privacy of these leeches are more important than national security(read as life of a common man). After all only these launders use and promote RIM handsets and certainly not the people who commute on sub-urban trains and buses to work for these thugs. Let us not put the life of the people at risk by quoting hypothetical privacy which never exists in the first place. -

Banning BlackBerry service will be counterproductive, says RIM source:: http://www.thehindu.com/business/companies/article812863.ece?homepage=true As expected RIM refuse to budge and continues to play game. As informed earlier to service providers it's important that Govt. bans all non-decipherable services like BES without any delay. It's important for Govt. to show that it means non-compromising enforcement and not stories/reasons. -

TDSAT reserved orders on 20th Sep 2010 but till date no judgement on such an important pro-consumer tariff regulations. Already 12 valuable days has gone What is happening to TDSAT????? Is everyone bribed by corporates?????????? Is every arm of India twisted by corporates(Legislative,Executive, Judiciary)?? :'( :'( :'( :'(

DoT rejects BlackBerry’s email decoding solution source :: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/telecom/DoT-rejects-BlackBerrys-email-decoding-solution/articleshow/6661267.cms I somehow expected this. RIM from beginning is spending all its energy to fool Indian Govt. through Media, Canadian Govt, International trade lobbies and never spend any energy in solving the issue meaningfully. It's time for the Govt. to put its foot down firmly. Now ban on BES services looks imminent and inevitable. -

TDSAT Directs TRAI To Rework Telecom Interconnect Charges
kesav replied to kesav's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Let us clear the mist about Termination Charges. The regime of termination charge is heavily loaded in favour incumbent biggies. Biggies cancel out each others' termination charges and earn huge amount from new players. Biggies earn more and more when new players keep adding subscribers due to their better tariff & QoS(Quality of Service) Net effect :: 1) New players pay huge amount to incumbents with their already squeezing wafer-thin marigin 2) Kills competition and favours oligopoly 3) It's penalty for delivering superior service Any competitive market regulator should never support such an one-sided regime. TRAI should make clear roadmap towards zero-termination regime to help the new players survive. -

My dear friend, for sure in the next phase it'll be extended for inter-circle. I too hope that's the plan as far as TRAI is concerned. Let us wait and watch how much time it'll take for transition from intra-circle to inter-circle. Post count for this topic may reach 800 by then..... :Contento: -
Dear Forum members, Do you see 9650 in the Indian Horizon?

Thanks for posting...... One correction. the phone is called "iphone 4" and not as "iphone 4G" as you've mentioned. Iphone 4 is still 3G(HSPA) and not 4G(WIMAX/LTE).
