  3. Samsung's Mpower Muzik 219 And Duos 259

It's not Samsung Duos W256 but it's Samsung Duos W259. Yeah still not visible in samsung website. Dear Admins, Please merge this topic with the following topic.
  4. By the end of January 2010, one of the greatest milestone has been achieved by the Telecom PSUs BSNL and MTNL. In combination they've now crossed 100 million subscribers mark. They are second one to do so after Airtel. Here is the list derived from TRAI's press release. 1)Airtel --> 3,015,618(WI)+121,714,243(WL) = 124,729,861 2)BSNL+MTNL --> 27,978,356(WI-BSNL)+3,251,936(WI-MTNL)+65,109,439(WL-BSNL)+4,920,929(WL-MTNL) = 101,260,660 3)Reliance --> 1,168,871(WI)+96,599,256(WL) = 97,768,127 4)Vodafone --> 94,143,364(WL) = 94,143,364 5)TATA --> 1,120,698(WI)+60,311,302(WL) = 61,432,000 6)Idea --> 59,887,404(WL) = 59,887,404 WI -> Wireline WL -> Wireless Other important event which happened in Jan was TATA was number one again in subscriber addition. Another event was India is inching closer to 50% teledensity. At the end of Jan it was 49.50%
  5. SC uphelds Delhi HC’s order over DoT’s move to advance cut-off date for new 2G licences A fantastic judgement from SC  I'm deeply worried about the things which happened in the last few days. DoT send directive to STel to top its services in 3 circles for some rudimentary reasons. The purpose was very clear. DoT wants to arm-twist STel so that they'll not fight the case in supreme court. STel budged under the pressure and its CEO met Mr. Raja and informed him that they'll withdraw the case in SC. SC took strong objection to this back-door diplomacy when matter is subjudice and asked STel to tender apology. SC has now ruled against DoT and hence DoT's arm-twisting strategy failed miserably. I hope opposition will take a note of this goonda behaviour fom DoT and take communication ministry to task in the ongoing budget session. SC ruling upholds the sanctity of the Judciary and it shows that Judiciary can deliver un-biased judgement even when the prosecution tries to withdraw the case due to back-door pressure from defense.
  6. Not Correct If you just compare only the tariff leaving out quality and coverage then following is the conclusion. BSNL is the cheapest and you can save huge amount per month in all segment. BSNL is the only operator who has unlimited plan BSNL n/w will be congestion free since BSNL has zero/very little CDMA voice operation MTS is the second best and it beats TATA/VIRGIN/Reliance hands down in any usage level TATA/VIRGIN is cheaper than Reliance in the higher data range (> 5GB) VIRGIN has special 5GB(night) plans which none other operator has

  8. Blackberry 9650 Tour2 aill now be called as Blackberry Bold. RIM Should Say 'Ta-Ta, Tour — Bonjour, Bold' source :: http://www.pcworld.com/article/190087/rim_should_say_tata_tour_bonjour_bold.html I hope Blackberry is keenly working on to make it OMH based Dual mode 3G phone.
  9. Now I've updated the EVDO.xls sheet with latest information from Virgin and BSNL. Slowly the n/ws are also expanding with TATA/VIRGIN having covered 72 cities, MTS with 37 cities and RCOM with 40 cities (as per their website as on date). I deeply request BSNL to place their EVDO coverage cities in their website for the cosumer's benefit.
  10. I'm very much sure BSNL has more cities covered by EVDO than any other private operator. But they're very poor in dissemination of information. That's disgusting
  11. TATA already had operations in 66 cities as per this link. http://www.tataphoton.com/tata-photon-usb.aspx I'm very sure they'll be expanding fast from the day they've updated this link.

  15. Big Bazaar To Launch MVNO

Dear Admins, Please move this topic to forum "TATA Indicom - TATA Docomo - Virgin Mobile" and change the title of the forum to "TATA Indicom - TATA Docomo - Virgin Mobile - T24"
  16. Now I've included BSNL also in the list(EVDO.xls). Looks BSNL is the best by tariff-wise and next comes MTS.
  17. I've also used the TATA/Reliance prepaid tariff in the "EVDO.xls" but nothing comes near MTS. TATA/Reliance prepaid tariff's are just added version of their postpaid tariff. Can you please provide any official link or online advertisement for "TATA photon+ prepaid default tariff at Re.1/MB with lifetime validity"
  18. May be on the first look, you may think MTS EvDO charges are similar to TATA and Reliance. One key important point which you should remember is in TATA/Reliance the service is in postpaid but in MTS it's in prepaid. Now if you include the service tax to the TATA/Reliance rental then you'll observe that MTS beats TATA/Reliance hands down. The difference between MTS and TATA/Reliance varies between Rs.50 (in 512 MB plan ) to Rs. 425 (in 15 GB plan) MTS EvDO coverage is also fast expanding and it covers currently 32 cities. Here I'm attaching the comparison sheet for your reference. EvDO.xls
