  2. Juice Caster is now available in India in TATA and that too for free till 31st July.....................Enjoi............................ http://www.tataindicom.com/mobile-blogging.aspx
  3. TATA has introduced unlimited internet through plug2surf whiz in all circles. Earlier TATA had only 5 GB data plan at Rs 1500/mth for circles other than mah,goa and mumbai(for which it has Rs.1000 unlimited plan). Now this unlimited plan is more competitively priced at Rs.1099 compared to Reliance's 1500 unlimited plan. Just have a look at the link. http://www.tataindicom.com/t-business-inte...urf-tariff.aspx
  4. Rcom Unveils Motorola W362

    @Dr. Arun My dear friend, this handset has a feature of voice recording, but I'm still not sure whether it is unlimited or not. If the voice recording going to be saved in expanded memory then surely it will be unlimited recording and if the recorded conversation has the option to be saved int he phone memory then it could not be unlimited. But still I think that it supports unlimited voice recording. Lets see who will be the first user of this handset on the forum. So that we can get some more clear picture. Regards. Dear Honest, Arun is asking for call recording and not voice recording. Both are different features. 1) Voice recording is recording of the sound available external to the handset. 2) Call recording is recording of the converstation(voice of self,caller/called ones) which you make with other party/parties(in case of 3-way conversation) with the same handset. voice recording is widely seen even in b/w handsets and the restriction time is only the available memory and battery life. call recording is very rarely seen even in some high end handsets but I really don't know why?
  5. Tata Indicom New Offer

    Just refer to this link. It talks about same tariff in lifetime in Kerala,TN and Karnataka http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?s=&a...st&p=111820
  6. source :: http://www.varindia.com/searchdetails_titl...3a1eb7f3f6c98bb Official Link :: http://www.tataindicom.com/personal-wirele...id-tariffs.aspx Can Reliance beat this?
  7. Certainly its Rs.1/3mins my dear friend and not per minute pulse. In this era of 30p termination charge, TATA is just trying to get 3p earning from each offnet minute. That in itself is fabulous. For the people who speaks very little it may not be useful and its really useful for the people who always indulge in lengthy talks for any call(say > 6 mins).
  8. I've been insisting and continue to insist that one India plan and this plan is drastically different in tariff-wise. In one India plan, only local onnet is charged with Rs.1/3 mins but in this plan all local calls are charged at Rs.1/3 mins. Just tell me one plan from any operator where all offnet local calls are charged at 0.33p/min at the rental of Rs.150 Hope now everything is clear to you
  9. source :: http://www.varindia.com/searchdetails_titl...3a1eb7f3f6c98bb Official Link :: http://www.tataindicom.com/personal-wirele...id-tariffs.aspx Can Reliance beat this? 225 minutes of local means 75 local calls. is max u can make. that too only local. Then reliance one india offer is better 180 u will get 50 free calls(Not 50 Minutes) irrespective of local or STD. Then if u r making local calls only and that to 75 local calls means u will be charged 205 + tax Not 225 + tax. This is just a number game from TATA. Tata is just using the crroked miund of reliance now a days Your calculation of Rs. 75 is absolute but comparing it with 180 plan is totally irrelavant. 180 plan is available across all providers BSNL, TATA and Reliance and implemented very effectively by TATA(even STD TATA mobiles are at Rs.1/3min) but certainly that plan comes nowhere closer to this plan in terms of local call charges which is USP of this plan. As for as innovation is concerned I always rank TATA(walky and mobile) and BSNL(in landline segment alone) better than any other service providers. Because they are always trend setters and the rest are all just mere followers.

  14. I've come across TATA's ultimate Plug2Surf Whiz offer in Karnataka. I'm not sure about its availability in other service areas. 2850 Minutes offer -- 475 mins/month for 6 months for subscribers opting for time based tariff plan. Customers opting for Volume based tariff plans would get 175 MB/month for 6 months. Customer can choose any data plan to avail offer. Offer valid till 29th Feb, 2008. I felt this offer is astounding. Limited period offer................So rush......
  15. Department of economic affairs for hike in spectrum fee Now, its turn of DEA to stir up the already dirty pond. The flat rate model will have advantage of being technology neutral and its also purely paid on the revenue which company earns in that sense it would help new operators with less burden. source :: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/News/N...how/3026278.cms
  16. DoT to ring PMO for 3G spectrum auction views source :: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Busines...how/3026247.cms Hope at least PMO will resolve this issue in favor of entry of new operators which is very critical to avert cartelization.

  23. Foreign 3G players not suited for India: TRAI cautions Finance Ministry http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/001200805091762.htm The TRAI's argument, As the existing licensees have already made huge investments in infrastructure and their systems are in place, therefore, they will be in a better position to deliver 3G services efficiently at low incremental cost is the base for cartelization since they'll never have any drive to bring down the cost of 3G services. They'll try to use 2G as poor-man services and 3G as premium services which'll certainly defeat the motto of broadband penetration squarely. They'll use the 3G spectrum only for data where the subscribers are very less and hecne they'll not deploy spectrum efficient technologies. Finally it results in wastage of priceless national resources. If we've green-field 3G operators then 1) They've to break-even quick for the amount of fresh investments and hence urge to acquire subscribers 2) Since they don't have 2 different spectrum, voice traffic has to be deployed in the same spectrum along with data which would force them to use spectrum efficient technologies 3)Green-field operators will always have advantage of starting from scratch which would help them to deploy new technologies in the entire signal-flow chain instead bogged down by legacy issues. 4)It would help the new emerging efficient conglomerates to enter telecom business who missed 2G bus. As a nation we've always longed for fresh ideas and fresh businessmen. I request TRAI to stop this trumpet and fall in line to promote telecom in a way that it would help the rural population who still have not seen the fruits of Internet connectivity. :help:
