Roaming Charges Are Set To Fall By February 2007
kesav replied to Arun's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Anugrag, this is because you're in a plan where STD is 2.65. Just check the roaming rates for "Talk India 299", "Do More 399", "Do More 499" then you'll feel the difference. -
Roaming Charges Are Set To Fall By February 2007

Select any plan in the following site and analyze for yourself about the roaming charges. http://www.tataindicom.com/personal/mobile...aid_tariffs.asp You'll certainly feel happy about choosing TATA for roaming. -
Finally people in reliance have done some work. Now the phones are present at the correct places with respect to their features. http://www.reliancecommunications.co.in/Co...m_handsets.html Still one mistake is continuing wrt Kyocera KX2. Actually this phone is video camera phone and not just camera phone as mentioned in the site. I would recommend Reliance to give some tags for RUIM handsets.

kesav replied to Arun's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Finally the correct information is available on reliance website. http://www.reliancecommunications.co.in/Co...ue_roaming.html Tata Indicom's Roaming is absolutely amazing. Incoming :: T-T STD charges Max limited to Rs.1.75 Outgoing :: Local: As per home tariff Max limited to Rs. 1.40 STD: As per home STD tariff Max limited to Rs. 2.40 TATA, this is the way to go... Come on Guys, We together salute TATA. Only TATA has implemented TRAI's order in spirit just not in words. -
Now the price of the handset is further slashed. I've reaceived the following SMS. "Dear Reliance Customer, now Nokia 1255 with Speakerphone & Voice Recoder at Rs.1699 only. HURRY! Limited Stock . Visit nearest Reliance Outlet." Enjoi !!
-
Today I got an sms saying. " Dear Relaince customer, Netconnect Data Card for Internet on the move NOW available at Rs.4200 MRP. Visit www.reliancecommunications.co.in" But I'm not sure whether they're talking about ZTE or EC321.

Roaming Charges Are Set To Fall By February 2007

Now its official.... Look at the reliance press release... http://www.reliancecommunications.co.in/we...tail.jsp?id=218 Local outgoing calls while Roaming for other phones Rs.1.79 > TRAI max limit Rs.1.40 Inter-circle outgoing calls while Roaming for other phones Rs. 2.49 > TRAI max limit Rs.2.40 TRAI order is very clear to second decimal place and the language is very crisp without any loop-hole for ambiguity in understanding. This clear violation on the part of Reliance has to be punished with max fine possible. Acting against the regulator should never be tolerated in democracy. Reliance should have guts to publish this press release on their website. If this move is not punished then the existence of the Regulator itself will become a mockery. If Reliance had any reservation it should have approached prescribed tribunal but this authoritative move is totally undemocratic. Anil thinks government machinery is under his hand. He should be aptly replied. Airtel has just hit the Regulator's max limit without violating. It shows their fear/respect for regulator. ROAMING TARIFFS PREPAID POSTPAID OUTGOING CALLS Local (Intra Circle) calls to Mobile/Fixed Phone Rs 1.40 Rs 1.40 STD (Inter-circle) calls to Mobile/Fixed Phone Rs 2.40 Rs 2.40 INCOMING CALLS From Anywhere Rs 1.75 Rs 1.75 -

Chocolate CDMA phone has gone for several updates in USA like Vx8000/Vx8100/Vx8200/VX8300/Vx8400/VX8500/VX8600. The lateset one is VX8600 which is flip type. Most famous of them is VX8500 which slide type and has been posted by Shaikhsadik. What we've now in India is the oldest version which may be equivalent to Vx8000 in features and not look-wise. V-> verizon Just it shows how far we're from USA.

Wimax In India, Mtnl To Be The First To Setup Wimax
kesav replied to KumaarShah's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
The final few nails in the coffin of 3G is now hammered. http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?s=&a...ost&p=80813 Maybe 3G would go into the history books as the technology which has been hyped too much but got nipped in budding stage. Thanks to WiMax, an ubiquitous technology which embraces everyneed of the human like voice, data and entertainment in a seamless way. WiMax, Welcome to India. India wishes you all the best for your bright future both in laptop and handheld segments. -
The latest LG phones' (RD9800,RD3470,RD8000) PC Sync SW is available in the following site. www.lgmobiles.com The notable omission is RD6250

Vodafone bags Hutch for US$ 19.3 Billion !
kesav replied to sanket55555's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Future is WiMax. 3G will go nowhere and its in the process of natural death. I feel its better for the operators in India to directly jump start WiMax instead of wasting their money and time in 3G. By the end of this year Nokia will be rolling out WiMax phones. Intel is there to provide ships of chips. WiMax Research centre (CDAC-Alcatel joint venture) in Chennai already started the 802.16e trials in India. What is the use 3G then? -
Don't browse the reliance website. Its an useless crap. All outdated information. The following phones are missing in their site. classic 202, classic 361, LG 3470 and now LG chocolate. Nokia 6275 and Kyocera KX2 are placed wrongly wrt their features. Rimweb is the real information site for RIM and not official Reliance site.
