Hello Guys, I am starting this Topic as I am desperately looking for any solution for my Pixi+ bought last month. (I looked in different topic but could not get any help from there hence starting a new thread.) Since the time I have bought this phone (officially registered with reliance), I have noticed that the Network Signal fluctuate a lot and its affecting voice clarity and some time even calls are getting dropped. Its also not getting any signal in the lift, underground parking or in my office meeting room whereas my old basic Samsung Guru (the one that I was using earlier before transferring my number to pixi+) is getting full network. I am working at the same place as earlier and never had any issues with network as till now my samsung always shows full signal strength even in the lift. I searched couple of forums but could not find any answers to this problem. Then I spoke to Sadik and he suggested it might be the problem of PRL file and I should update the reliance PRL again through QPST. I downloaded reliance PRL from couple of forums bur not sure which one to use also I do not know how to update it through QPST. (I have QPST and used it earlier to activate 1x data). Can anybody provide me the updated reliance PRL and steps to update it through QPST or If you think the problem I am facing is due to some other things plz suggest what might be the cause and its remedy. Eagrly waiting for any help as I spend half of my day in office and network issue is quite frustrating. Thanks in advance.

Generic Rworld Password - For Rworld Based Internet
Deep_kumar replied to dkaile's topic in Data services
Hi Anupe, I am stuck at it. I am using pixi plus. I have followed all the steps as mentioned. Now when it says "Select the Attached file and you New Password is configured" In this step I selected this "CM27-Data-RWorld-RUIM-906-910.txt". I got the success msg then I rebooted my phone but there is no 1x or 3g symbol and my data is not working as well. I again tried and after sending the above text file, I closed cdma workshop but it said that data has been changes and asked for mode restart. I selected yes, my phone got rebooted by itself but still no luck. Am I doing something wrong or I also need to change some setting in my pixi plus. -

MNP Retention Offer You Received
Deep_kumar replied to rajanmehta's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
Because of Reliance stubbornness to stick to their data plans for RCDMA (NUC charges and refusal to give EVDO to any other set other then few Samsung or BB) look what has happened As per Economic Times Report "In the case of RCom (CDMA), as many as 1.34 lakh subscribers ported out, while 5,717 ported in." Source: http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2011-02-27/news/28638472_1_lakh-subscribers-mnp-services-cdma-operators Even if they wont wake up yet (which I doubt they will) they might end up losing a hell lot more customer. I personally called reliance CC and told them I want to port our and asked for the procedure . The guy Immediately transferred my call to MNP department where I spoke to a lady. I gave her my reason as NUC charges on their RCDMA network. She promised me that she will have someone call me within 24hrs to offer the best that they can do to retain me but its been a 4-5 days no call from them. It looks like they are not interested in retaining postpaid customers. -
In My previous post I mentioned @ARUN. Thats a mistake I actually meant @Ankur.

Now there is some big confusion going on. After reading digitalnirvana's post I called customer care again. 1st guy told me that no NUC only when surfing rword but if I browse internet I will have to pay NUC. After 15 mins I called again and spoke to another rep. Now he said there will be no NUC whether I am on rworld or surfing internet (data plan rs.299 + rworld plan rs.249). I told him about the confusing details that I am getting from diff reps. he put me on hold checked the system again, came back online and confirmed that there will be no NUC what-so-ever after taking rworld plan. So now I am in a soup. Not sure whom to believe. I think the best way is to try this thing and see by ourself wether they are charging NUC or not (I will be able to do that from next week, hopefully, onwards as I am waiting for the delivery of my Palm.) @ANKUR : The plans that you suggested, I spoke about it with CC rep. He told me that these plans are only for using internet on your laptop/desktop and will not work on Mobile only. I also asked him about the EVDO plans. he gave me details but told me that they are providing EVDO to only Blackberry handset, Samsung Corby and Samsung Galaxy. Reliance will not give out these plans to any one with any other cellphone (abought from reliance or not does not matter). Thses plans are phone specific and if we do not have these phone they will not give out EVDO plans. Now I need some rim guru to shed some light on mobile internet thing. If they can call customer care and reconfirm about no NUC charges that will be great or It will be try-on-your-own-risk for me. I will at least give at one shot to see what is what.

I am currently on a basic Samsung handset but waiting for the delivery of my new Palm pixi plus. Since I ordered for palm I was doing some research on internet plans. Will get the delivery by next week so will start using net after that. But if the info given to me by CC rep is right then i dont mind paying Rs. 299 + Rs. 249 for unlimited browsing and download. Lets see how the things work out. MNP is not an option for me as I am very happy with the reliance CDMA network coverage and never had any issue with call quality or msging. Been using reliance since last 5-6 years now.

HUGE UPDATE....... AND SOMETHING TO CHEER ABOUT I called reliance tonight and asked them about number portabbility. told them that I will change operator coz their mobile internet plan is way too expensive because of NUC.....Then the guy finally told me something that i was not aware about... They have an additional recharge called " rworld plan " price: Rs. 249..... After this THERE IS NO NUC CHARGES So choose a internet plan say Rs.299 unlimited one and choose this plan rworld plan Rs. 249 and enjoy unlimited browsing and download (extra charge only if you download content like wallpaper or games from rworld). no NUC at all... I would suggest you guys call customer care *222 and recheck it. Just ask about rworld plan to waive off NUC. I called twice and confirmed it...you guys do the same Plz update if you find anything else..

Reliance is charging NUC even for Rs. 299 unlimited download plan. Here is the link http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/rworld/handsetcom/mobileinternet.html I even called and confirmed. when I asked the customer service rep that if he is charging 5p/10kb then how its only 299 a month (as the bill will be huge coz of NUC)he said they can not help it coz its CDMA and we have to pay NUC. I called up the blackberry department and they told me that on BIS/BES there is no NUC and reliance does have blackberry connect service for other smartphone as well. So can we opt for blackberry connect service in our handset and save on NUC. one problem though on the website it says it only support Symbian and WM platform so I am not sure if it will work on any handset with android or Palm OS. Not sure though...
