  1. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Then what is right? Kindly explain 800 Mhz stuff mentioned in those links.
  2. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yes. But besides this 850 Mhz, they are cooking something with 800 Mhz too. As mentioned in official documents, "... sharing of spectrum in 800 MHz with Reliance Jio... "http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/aboutus/ir/pdf/RCOM_updates_22.04.2016.pdf " SHARING OF SPECTRUM IN 800 MHZ BAND ACROSS 17 CIRCLES " http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/aboutus/ir/pdf/RCOM-and-Jio-Spectrum -MR-18012016.pdf ...

SIM cards are marked with circle names. You should get a new SIM from your home circle i.e. Kerala & Lakshadweep .
  4. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

When they say 800 Mhz and 850 Mhz, do they refer the same band or different bands? These two deffer from each other in numbers but, sometimes, they are used together. Now when Rcom and Rjio have decided to share their spectrum and infrastructure, we know that 850 Mhz, 1800 Mhz and 2300 Mhz are the key frequencies we should keep in mind while buying new handsets/devices. But these days it is also mentioned that Rcom has freed 800 Mhz to deploy LTE services in it. Rcom also claims that it is the first and only operator that has nationwide 800/850 Mhz spectrum to launch LTE. So, should we also keep 800 Mhz in mind while buying new devices? http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/aboutus/news/pdf/press-release/2015/RCOM_only_operator_capable_of_launching_state_of_the_art.pdf
  5. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

A few people complained that they were hanging somewhere in the middle for a short period of time. But for me, it did not take time. Everything was alright till afternoon and, in the evening, when I was unable to make any call (despite full network), I inserted new sim in the phone and found that it was working.
  6. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

It may take from few hours to few days. But your old SIM will keep working until it happens. (If CDMA network is still active in your circle).
  7. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

I am afraid you may need pay to both. Go to reliance store and apply for closing your account. Pay all unpaid amount and get a no dues slip.
  8. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Is recharge of Re. 1 required before registering for migration through portal?
  9. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

If your home circle is AP, Vodafone 849 or Airtel 855.
  10. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

My reply was based on specification sheet published in gsmarena. I do not own this phone.
  11. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yes, it is. Many Sprint and Verizon phones now have SIM card slots. The SIM cards are generally there for Sprint's and Verizon's 4G LTE networks. The phones may also have SIM slots to support foreign GSM networks as "world phones".
  12. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I have two sims: one of 4/16 lot and the other of 5/16 lot. Both sims are not patched but 2G data works. 3G dongle trial: First I tried 4/16 sim. It works on EDGE. Changed setting to WCDMA only. Latched to Aircel H. Tried to connect. No service. But after I tried again and again, to my surprise, it got connected. Then I tried 5/16 sim with the same settings. No service.
  13. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

So wil Rcom provide 4G services on 800 Mhz? I wish they they'd declare band(s) at least.
  14. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

HTC 816 will work on LTE 1800 which will be shared by RJIo. Unfortunately it will not work on 850 Mhz or 2300 Mhz. HTC 510 sprint will also not work on these band but will on 3G and 2G bands. However it shouldl work on forthcoming BSNL 4G on 2500 Mhz. It depends on version. This chart is for HTC Desire 510.
  15. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

You are lucky being able to use data in 'WCDMA only' mode. In UP(E), Reliance provide 3G service through Aircel network. I am able to connect to Aircel H+ but without data tranfer. However I am able to use 2G data with super slow speed. To check balance, I send SMS 'MBAL' to 55333. It shows 'no data balance' It is, I think, just because there is no data in data balance but There is 1GB data in promo data balance in 'promo data balance' which is invisible to us. 10 GB 4G data will be provided when 4G network will be live. So, as for now, for me, Reliance 4G is Reliance 3√4G
  16. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Check your model number. If it is N9000, only 3G network will work. If it is N9005, all networks will work. But if is SPH-L710, it will not work. However HTC Desire 510 will work on 4G network. (only on selected bands, depends on versions) This chart is for HTC desire 510.

It is not that bad in my area, still I am on roaming on Aircel for last an hour in my own room.
  18. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

It is probably because they are broadcasting signals at 1800 Mhz. Things may improve later but for now, you can use some signal booster antenna.
  19. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yeah, quite interesting for unlimited validity. Sorry, I could not understand the meaning of 'started at 123'. 198 is true but another option for 1 GB is 155 (15 days). Check these rates: unlimited data on EVDO 750/- + service tax per month. 5 GB data on 3G for 565/- (30 days) 1 GB data on 3G for 78/- (5 days)
  21. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Pardon me, but what it is this AVOID?
  22. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

It may be bad in your area. But in my area both BSNL 3G and BSNL EVDO are pretty good.
  23. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I am using BSNL since 2009. It has better network coverage than most other telecom operators . I used rcdma as my first number but carried bsnl number on the go. In delhi, it becomes mtnl and network coverage problem occurs only in delhi metro subway. In my city most people have BSNL as their first number. However, it's EVDO service is not available everywhere.
  24. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

When I started using Telenor 2G years ago, it was 40 KB/s. Now a days it is caped at 10 KB/s at peak hours. Tata Docomo and Vodafone are also good at 2G. But BSNL gives 3G speed almost at 2G rates.
