Until jio sets up authorized stores/customer care points, you cannot port to it. (However, you can buy a new life phone with jio sim.) So either wait or port to Idea 4G / Vodafone 4G etc..

My first sim (of 4/16 lot) was activated on 31st without data services. But after 24 hours 2g data service started. My second sim (of 5/16 lot) started 2nd June without data services. Again, I was able to use 2g data after about 24 hours. In both cases, I received push gprs setting. In both cases, no 2g/3g/4g data balance is showing still 2g data is working. To check data balance, I used *367#. *367*1#, *367*2#, *367*3#, *111# and sent message 'MBAL' to 55333.

Network mode should be 'auto'. if it is already set, search network manually in GSM or UMTS. LTE is not available at the moment. By the way how is Lenovo P1m? Are you satisfied with it?

They are migrating numbers series by series. My 933 series number was migrated on 31st May while my other number of 936 series is working properly. My friend's number of series 938 is also working fine. So, it seems they will not switch off CDMA network on particular date. Instead, they will keep it working until they have finished migration work completely.

My circle is Uttar Pradesh(E) where Reliance renders 3G services with arrangement with Aircel. So when I set networks with 'UMTS only' , it is connected to Aircel H+. but when I try to connect to internet, it shows 'no service'.

Were you getting 2G data before the patch or no data at all? I am getting only 2G data. Do I need to get my sim patched?

My first sim is registered now. Got 150 mins promo balance. Data balance is not showing. Mbal returns zero data. Data is working on EDGE.

You don't have to get new sim card. Go to Reliance store and get you sim patched.

I recharged throgh Mobikwik but you can do it through Freecharge too. . Phone number - then circle - then amount and then proceed. Reliance does not distinguish top-ups and STVs while recharge. It is determined by the amount itself. You can get it done by retailers too.

Which band rcom/rjio is working on/will work on: 800 Mhz , 850 Mhz, 1800 Mhz or 2300 Mhz ?

Old SIM number will be required for 'upgrade through system' as sms won't be working.. Applicable only for those who still haven't upgraded though sms.
