They have enough assets. They can repay the loan immediately if they sell most of it. But they will sell as much of it as enough to raise Rs. 27,000 cr. Rest of the loan will be paid later. They have named it as 'asset monetization'.

It is really shocking to know that they are terminating their employees like gangsters do.

I just wonder why telecom industry still needs circles while they want/are given pan-India license. As they used to say - circles are there so small companies can also do business in local areas. But now there is no chance for any such company.
6 hours ago, LTE4G said:the services are restricted/available to addresses within their local networks
This restriction neutralizes the advantage of aadhaar over other IDs.

Yes, but so were others IDs too. I mean, this aadhaar should have more benefits than its predecessor cards. One nation, one circle and one KYC doc.

Yes, DoT or TRAI.

But to take a mobile connection in a different circle one has to provide a local address or reference as address proof apart from ID proof.
Yes, but what will they do with local address? People are not living at a single place these days. Moreover, they have our permanent address.

Things, so far, have been said about reliance:
1. Rcom is choRcom
2. They take their customers for granted.
3. They always come with a revolutionary idea; they spoil the market; they leave.

They should sell every brick and stone of this choRcom leaving no trace of its existence.

Yes, you are right. But see, aadhaar was brought as 'all-india ID'. It is not issued by any state government either. So, compulsion to provide a local address everywhere you go is an unnecessary practice. Like operators can have pan-india licenses, subscribers should also be allowed to have pan-india UID.
-
Having to provide local address/reference degrades aadhaar/UID to its predecessor ration card and voter's ID card.

I have a Vodafone number in Delhi. My Rcom number belongs to UPE. Can I port it to Vodafone? Or I cannot opt the same operator in two different circles?

They have openly said so last year. But government is not interested.
-
10 minutes ago, LTE4G said:Here in Mumbai they only have 2G services and CDMA.
Yes. They have 3G in 10 circles only. If they could get their spectrum liberalized, they would be able to start 4G on the same band.

Yes, but these days they have promotional offers - unlimited local+std for 28 days for Rs. 148; unlimited calls +1 gb per day for 56 days for Rs. 349. But they haven't 3G everywhere.

TATA DoCoMo, by sending messages to its subscribers, has made it clear that their services will continue.

No I/C call, i get “Please check the number you have dialed”
No O/G call, when i try i recorded IVR “Dear Reliance customer, You are connected on Vodafone’s network, calls cannot be completed. Please port your number to Vodafone. Sent PORT your reliance mobile number to 1900″. For assistance, please call 1800123457 from other mobile number”.Really fun to watch TBH!
It seems they are allowing network access for generating porting code only.

It's probably sent by Tata DoCoMo itself. Check whether sender code starts with 'TD'.
I have already got such SMSs from RJio and Aircel too.

It seems so. Supposing rcom has plans to retain its 4G subscribers and continue its telephony services, it would be difficult to explain why they said to all of its employees including circle heads that they are on notice period and 30th November is their last working day.

14 hours ago, mywebid said:I have around Rs. 800 balance in my RCOM prepaid 4G SIM.
I had Rs. 110 in my RCOM prepaid 4G SIM, but they deducted that amount for no reason reason. First, they deducted Rs. 60 and then Rs. 30. Rest of the amount deducted for checking a PNR status. Of course they have been doing such things earlier too but they returned money after complaining and since there is no CC, I could not get my money back. I think you should use all the balance of your account.

Now, getting sms from Rjio, asking to port to them, saying, "..... remain with reliance family...."
This Anil Ambani is such a culprit person. Like Tata is giving TTSL to Bharti for free ( no cash no debt basis), He could also give rcom to Mukesh Ambani on the same formula. But he neither cared for his loyal customers nor for his family.

So, is this it?
They are dispersing the family of over 10 crore rcom subscribers at one go.
