Disconnection is not happening for my WiMax. Its always stable. What CPE you use? Indoor or Out door CPE ? Check the CINR and RSSI values. It should be a stable. Mate my wimax not working from Friday Night (when the rain starts). I think i need to call the guy who came here for showing demo. Thursday i went to Pattom Bsnl office and asked for wimax bill (reception) I gave the paper that i got when i take CPE. he said the bill not yet generated , and also he added the fist bill will take time. I got CPE JULY 31 and activated on August 3rd. Till yet didn't generated the first bill. @White Hole my connection disconnects for about 5-15sec and reconnects. Only it happends some times. My WiMax is very stable. few weeks back my CINR value was going below 10dB. I just re-aligned the outdoor CPE. After that I was getting > 20dB CINR. Yeah..while raining ( heavily only ) I have noticed reduced CINR value. But connection never disconnects. Check the signal level , if an indoor CPE , adjust antenna for best CINR value. Hope this will solve the issue.

I haven't got the October printed bill till today. I made an online payment. Not sure what info you wanted see in my bill. Where can we pay the bill(for BSNL WiMAX) online? I have searched quite exhaustively, but couldn't find any working portal. Also, is there any portal where I can create my account and check my data usage and other stuff? Chk this site : http://www.wimax.bsnl.in/ The above portal is only for few BSNL circles. ( where BSNL has tie-up with a company called Somanet) . This portal is not for BSNL Kerala Wimax customers. I am getting my printed bill along with my other land line bill. Here in BSNL Ernakulam SSA , we have one online bill presentation & payment site ( http://www.ernakulamtelecom.gov.in). No usage details are available thru this portal.

is there any disconnection date in the bill if not paid in due date.? I didnt got the bill till now. First check with concerned Accounts Officer (TR) to see whether Wimax bill generated or not. You will get the phone number from any other BSNL landline telephone bill.

Got WiMax October bill also. This time they have calculated tariff with Rs.750/- Since I paid last month bill with tariff Rs.999/- , I have got some credit adjustments in this bill.

From last 2-3 days my WIMax CINR value was going below 12 dB. But I was getting enough speed. Today called BSNL JTO , he promised that tomorrow they will come home to inspect the same. Later , I did my own experiment in aligning the CPE in a different position and succeeded. Now getting stable CINR ( 18-19 dB ). Don't know why the CINR so much reduced in the previous alignment ( Any tower issues ? )

Yes. Thats correct. I took this connection when I was in Bangalore. Monthly rental is 850+ tax. There this connection was very fast. But when I came to EKM , BB+ became narrow band minus. The connection was postpaid. Now I migrated to pre-paid.

is that 512KBps plan? the speed is very low Bsnl wimax rockzzzzzz bsnl now giving 3g at 700/month (4200single pay for 6 months) its not a bad deal too. bcoz no other usb or portable internet provider has unlimited at this speed and this price. So bsnl rockzzzz Reliance BB+ 's speed is 3.1 Mbps. But not even getting 31 KBPS.. :-) lol

I took BSNL Wimax conn as a backup to my Reliance BroadBand + . Within 2-3 days I made Reliance BB+ backup to my BSNL WiMax. :-) Wimax Giving me good performance and reliability. Then Why I should make Reliance as my default conn? With reliance max speed I am getting :

my download / upload varies everytime. Today Morning I got ~ 3mbps upload speed for a torrent. While downloading the same torrent , sometimes speeds were going in sync , ie both in 2.1 mbps. But this was there for only few minues , then upload speed reduced. I am almost close to the base station ( approx 1.5 kms ).

Today Got First WiMax bill for Rs.535/- and made online payment also :-) Bill period from 17/09/10 to 01/10/2010. The billing plan is Rs.999/-. Hope, from next month plan will change to 750.

Today went to BSNL customer services office. Getting different opinions on Tariff change. One person said , 999 UNLIMITED plan will be automatically converted to UNLIMITED 750 plan. Whereas, another one told to submit application. Anyways , I have given one written application in white paper to the concerned person. Lets see what happens now.

BSNL Kerala WiMax users : If you have taken the wimax connection with old plan ( Rs 999/- ) , you many need to go to BSNL customer care for changing the tariff. I will check this with few BSNL officers and confirm in this post.

With BSNL WiMax , most of the time I am getting >150KBPS download speed for torrents. But upload speed is not that good. One thing which I noticed is , sometimes download speed will go down , that time upload speed will be very high. Speed test :

i also didnt got that. i got wimax on august first week. they didnt gave me any mail id too. when i enquire about hte price. they said that coming month my rent will also reduced from 999 to 750rs. i am going to bsnl CSC tomorrow. i didnt got my wimax bill till now. did you got the bill? I contacted BSNL's CTRA ( Computerised Telecom Revenue Account ) Unit in Ernakulam. They told: 1) In Ernakulam SSA , they have created a "data only" phone number series (217xxxx). 2) Wimax billing ( CDR records ) details will come along with the regular broadband CDR and billing will happen on monthly basis. 3) They are still waiting for the WiMax CDR to start the billing. Wait for some more time. Will get one consolidated bill for 2-3 months :-)
