There is no need to activate 3G. It is by default enabled and activated in all. Now, if you recharge online with 3g data plan, u automatically get 3G speed. You might need to 'band select' in mobile to 3G.

U can get take a 2G plan (like 6gb for 98), select network band of 3g. Here u will get 120kbps speed almost always. Enough to listen high quality aac stream songs etc/ browse. to me it is enough.

I did a recharge of 41 --to get full recharge on any top up (plus 200 sms free daily till 31st dec). did 1000/- online recharge. Now, waiting for 1000/- additional talktime ! :Sorprendido:

in summary- resistive -- pressure sensitive (slight touch won't work), cheap capacitive - touch sensitive, costly (worth the cost though),better for gesture, multi-touch etc.

i used it for sometime (before it got lost). wanted mainly cdma/ battery life is absolutely worthless even with original bl5c. now using separately cdma (samsung b559, amazing battery life)and gsm (htc). imei is not original but some old dead mobile.

no customs--this i m sure of. i have ordered from dealextreme.com, ebay.com several items like laptop battery etc. for small things they don't bother.

I m thinking of leaving tata docomo and goto bsnl. I have both broadband at office and home. So, my usage is limited to around 200-300 MB due to email and gtalk. Although I would like to try streaming internet radio. Given wifi is there in most smartphones, I don't need such high data usage thruogh mobile. Bsnl 'edge' (2g sim) connects through its 3g network and gives around 230kbps practically but tata docomo doesn't allows so and it practically gives only max 50-60kbps (most of the time 10-20kbps, u can't listen streaming audio). Given overall better bsnl 3g plan--bsnl rocks !!
