  1. I second the opinion of kshah and kunal. RCDMA network is going to the dogs... I also might switch over to DoCoMo or maybe MTS (not very happy with MTS' voice clarity)
  2. First we had EE and now LL
  3. Yet another bull**** offer..... and that too at Rs 31 per month :rofl_200:
  4. Reliance SMS Blackout Days

Yes, you will not be able to send out SMS' on all blackout days. Talk to CCE for clearer picture.
  5. I had predicted some time back that CDMA in India will die a slow death and possibly both Tata and RCOM will sell off their CDMA business sometime in the future. At that time many had scoffed at my views, hopefully my stand will get vindicated over time. I still hold the same views, going by the current goings-on in the CDMA industry. Network issues like sharing towers for both CDMA and GSM from the same tower may also be a reason for signal fluctuations. RGSM as we all know is on 1800Mhz and hence requires much more power, and, which to my lay-man's knowledge, is being extracted from CDMA leaving it poor in signals. I also second rajeshkatiyars' view not to buy expensive CDMA handsets. Between 5 to10k is ok but anything above that is risky. Corruption in RCOM? I doubt that, it can be lethargy and indifference because RCOM is very well known for that.
  6. I use about 100MB on my RCDMA mobile for emails, and light browsing only. No downloads... For downloading heavy email attachments, wifi comes in very handy. I am on Windows Mobile Data plan Rs 199 per month
  7. New STV 35

RGSM has launched today in Chennai and TN circle (no idea about RoI) a new STV35 which will offer: - All local calls to any mobile/LLs at a flat 30 ps per minute valid for 30 days. This STV can be used by all customers whether they are on PPC/PPM/PPS plans, it will work on a per minute basis for all local calls. I Think RCOM finally felt the heat generated by Tata DoCoMo and !dea now. @kamalbhai, RCOM is really very very meherbaan on TN/Chennai customers once again....
  8. @kanaga, If you use Calling Cards on any BSNL LL, the tariff applicable is 1ps per sec. (In THE HINDU, I see this advt often in Chennai, not too sure about RoTN and RoI) So you should ideally be a prepaid LL customer and keep your balance low or zero and use Calling cards. Even a postpaid user can use calling cards. In any case, BSNL has only reduced the pulse from 120 secs to 180 secs. Earlier LL STD calls were charged at 120 secs and now it is 180 secs. The funniest part is that their own BSNL mobiles are being charged at 60 secs pulse for STD calls. Atleast they should have emulated RCOM in providing on net calls at reduced rates. Alas, the babus have been greased thoroughly by the other cellcos to avoid competition. Otherwise BSNL can give all cellcos a very long run for their money. AFAIK, all private players may be already providing the PPC for STD calls. Correct me if wrong. BSNL is the last in this race.
  9. Reliance GSM Network in Pune/Vishranthwadi

To reach the level of Airtel, Vodafone, etc, RGSM will take another year or two. Till then one has to get used to signal fluctuations or junk the service and opt for some other stable signal provider. In Chennai, even I am experiencing signal fluctuations sometimes but the call quality is not bad at all.
  10. Referral Need For A Real Estate Lawyer

Depends on your relationship with the lawyer. He may charge Rs 500 or even a percent or two on the rental value based on the agreement period.
  11. Who is bachha? BSNL to sab ka baap hai, bhai!!!!
  12. Vote For The Best Anti-Virus!

me2 on avast for the last 3 to 4 years, no problems so far at all. Updates are automatic and almost twice daily or maybe whenever I am on the net.
  13. @kanagadeepan, I had called up CC and their reply is what I had posted here. Maybe they may have meant with regard to CDMA as I had called from my postpaid CDMA number. And the other reasons given by kesav are too good.
  14. No. I got Original Tamil DVD from Big Flix. Then had to download English Subtitle file from the net. Whom are you referring to by KMM? Sorry for the delay in response. By KMM, I mean Kunal (Greatest). He shares the same initials with Dr. Mufaddal also. But I meant Greatest - he knows Tamil language as he was a Chennai resident till some time back. Correct me if wrong...
