  1. Sim Card Registration Failed

In Chennai/TN, they are replacing the SIM free in case of SIM Regn Failure since last month. No idea about RoI.... Check at your nearest RS or RMS, though...In any case, it is a SIM manufacturing defect, so they should not charge you.
  2. How To Know Number Of Sms Sent On A Day ?

Wowieeeeeee Thats really good of RCOM to let you know where you stand.....
  3. How To Know Number Of Sms Sent On A Day ?

AFAIK, Not all mobiles have a SMS counter and also the funda is different for various phones. Like if you send a 3 part LMS, some mobiles may show it as 1 sent and some mobiles show it as 3 sent...
  4. Signal Reception Problem With Lg 6200?

If you have bought it from RCOM' MS or RMS, you can return the set to them and get a full refund or a replacement, if your complaints are genuine. Go to the store from where you bought it and complain to the senior manager and ask him for a refund. They will atleast replace it. If this does not work send emails to CMO. Try your luck, All the best....
  5. Yes all operators are doing it including our very own RCOM, T-DCM, !dea, Uninor, Airtel, Aircel, etc etc.. Why single out Voda alone? Only by showing so many customers, they are getting more spectrum, so valuations will increase ultimately. Its a big game....
  6. Rcom took almost one week or more to announce the offer of free calling on 28th MARCH 2010. So lets give Voda some time to think about it. Maybe they will better the offer and give 100 minutes free across India or even better than that... Or maybe to celebrate 100 million customers, they will charge the customers 100 times the call charges... :rofl_200:
  7. How Tikona Is Offering Wireless Internet

Hope you did not pay them any advance or deposits.....
  8. Good info and a great interview given by Syed...... Lets hope R2.0 improves the quality of the network of RGSM across the country....
  9. What he probably meant was that he wants internet access on mobile on both CDMA and GSM. To make it short, he may have written GPRS on both CDMA and GSM. BTW does BB8830WE (not the original Reliance one) fit the bill? Does it support internet access on CDMA? Most of the chinese/korean do not support internet access on CDMA....
  10. BSNL also doubles BB Speeds for some plans for one month only... See here Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for one month only atleast.......
  11. Which Credit Card To Go For?

Well I own several cards ranging from Stan-Chart, Citi, ICICI, ABN-AMRO (now RBS), HSBC (I stopped using it to protest against fuel charges non waiver). I have never had any problems with most of these. The only problems I ever had was with SBI and I surrendered to them twice. For fuel, ABN-AMRO is great because at any petrol pump, whereas Citi-IOC is only for IndianOil, ICICI is only for HP and Stan-Chart is only for BP (though not too sure, now) HSBS was earlier free at all petrol pumps, but now they charge Rs 399 for one year for fuel charges waiver. Recently, I received SMS' from ICICI that they are withdrawing the insurance cover on all my platinum cards and also they are withdrawing the Concierge services from 1 April 2010. All in all, my experience with Citi is the best, I have been with them from 1987 onwards (at that time it was Diners Club)
  12. Low Battery Backup with Reliance?

In an RGSM SIM, the network is being searched frequently because the signal intensity is very less. Whereas in other network SIMs, it is not the case. Even I noticed this issue, it will go away with time. Maybe 6 months, maybe a year. This used to happen with my Voda SIM (earlier when it was Hutch), but now it is not the case. This is also due to 1800Mhz frequency on which RGSM and other new operators operate. But then Aircel in Delhi is also a new operator on 1800 Mhz. I checked with RGSM on this issue and was told that they are beaming RGSM signals from RCDMA Towers and hence there is some clash in signals. They are trying hard to rectify this issue. They also are aware about this problem. All issue will be sorted out within 6 months or so.... In the interim, you may take a decision appropriately.
  13. Bsnl Broadband Modem

Could you give the pricing too, I am also interested in this setup...
  14. I Think You Are Right, But Then You Will Have To Download Only During 2AM to 8AM.....Unlike other providers where night time is from 10pm to 7am or 10pm to 6am or 11pm to 7am or so.....
  15. Gujarat, AP and Punjab have one more unltd plan: - See here See here also See here also And AFAIK, all other plans are available pan India... (Though not too sure)
  16. There is no FUP, only the speeds will go down. You can download unltd still, but with vastly reduced speeds...
  17. Thats a very bad move by BSNL IMHO....
  18. Any idea on night unltd on the above new plans? (from 2AM to 8AM or better?)
  19. Samsung Mpower Muzik 219 Cdma

Any idea whether WAP, internet access and java apps are available in this mobile. Today almost all cheap chinese phones have internet access.
  20. My Long Rant About The Coolpad 2618

AFAIK, if within one week, you are not satisfied with the handset, you could have it exchanged or money refunded from the WW. Approach some higher ups and get your task done. I had my LG phone returned and money refunded in full after using the phone for close to 7 months.... Send strong emails to all concerned in RCOM and get your money refunded...All the Best....
  21. This move has been ostensibly made to prevent clogging of network due to stupid queries by many customers. I know it is totally wrong for cellcos to charge all for the stupidity of some. But then this is India and TRAI seems to have waved the green flag for operators. So it will remain. Other operators will surely follow. AFAIK, almost all cellcos have now started 198 service for quality complaints and this number is full free (Not sure for how long, though) Yet another money spinner for the GSM Gangsters, is all I would say....
