AFAIK, On receiving your dox, they will activate your services. You will have to push the dealer to send your dox to Reliance. As for your other queries, I think it is too small an issue for consumer courts, etc. The GoI has stipulated that all activations should be done only after verifying the dox and the address etc. Hence if there is a delay in Reliance or any other operator, receiving the dox, they have to de-activate services. All this is in the interests and security of the country....

Tata Docomo New Stv For Karnataka Local 1ps / 2sec
KumaarShah replied to B R SHIVANANDA's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I would put it this way, Rs 55 STV means you can use it for 91.67 minutes or 5500 secs in PPS plans. If an average user doubles this usage, he can recover the cost of the STV. DoCoMo has brought this STV fearing Uninor which is also likely to offer the same as default plan when they launch services in mid Nov.'09. And so what, even RCOM will match these STVs with far better deals.... Lets wait and watch and enjoyyyyyyy as these operators are slugging it out. -
The web page is not very clear. It appears that this tariff is only for the FTRC voucher which is valid for 30 days only and after that the higher tariff will apply. Maybe my interpretation is wrong. Mumbai users can confirm.

Tariiff Reduction And Its Impact
KumaarShah replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Mixed for me, in one mobile - usage and bill both increased and in another - usage gone up but bill come down.... It all boils down to less ARPUs for the operator any which way you see it. -
Is it available and working for RGSM Prepaid? I tried on my RGSM mobile and it is not working....

Reliance Communications Finalises Global Number Portability Contracts

You can theoretically, but practically in India, let us first see MNP. We can discuss about this later. Jokes apart, only intra circle MNP will be allowed initially and not inter circle MNP. -
Docomo Vs Rel Simple Vs Rcom Per Second Vs Reliance 1re/3mins
KumaarShah replied to vvinayakpai's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
@vinayakpai, Using your data, I have summarised the various types of calls using Filters. Any which way one sees it, RCOM' PPM is better than DoCoMo's PPS. Your file has been uploaded after the edit. RCOM.xls -
He has told that ICICI will respond by Nov 16th. But about other updates, yes, you have a point....

Try *367# or send SMS BAL to 53670. Also you will get the last call cost notification, why you are not getting it is something the CC will be able to better answer.

Docomo Vs Rel Simple Vs Rcom Per Second Vs Reliance 1re/3mins
KumaarShah replied to vvinayakpai's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
LP80 means 200 local minutes free @ 40ps and not local minutes at 40ps extra. So Rs 80 need not be added to the cost. The total cost of 128 under RCOM actually means you will pay 80 upfront and 48 only from your main balance. It is not like the other GSM gangsters' rate cutters, though lately they have also copied RCOMs ideas. So RCOM is still cheaper. Also you have to factor in the SMS (Local/STD/Roaming/etc) costs too. Similarly, other VAS costs also may be costlier. And RCOM offers full TT for 100 to 500 RC. Maybe Tata DoCoMo gives even more TT. @vinayakpai, I cannot understand why you have shown 41 as STD pack? What is that for? Or should it be 48 (the one time cost?) And what about DoCoMo's initial costs? I am sure it is also around Rs 50 (Not too sure, though) It is best to leave the startup cost from this calculations because more or less everyone offers the same startup cost give or take a few rupees here and there. PPS billing is only useful if you complete your calls in under 40 or 50 secs, beyond that it is surely expensive. The average time taken by an average user for local calls is 53 secs. (Maybe because it is a PPM pulse, we talk for upto 53 secs average?) And RCOM has already stated that they will compete very aggressively in the wake of the remaining 3 new operators who are coming in by this year end (Etisalat, Uninor and Videocon). I personally feel that RCOM also will introduce PPS a-la Airtel and Voda and charge the same for PPS. The subscribers will have one more choice plan. Thats all. Finally, I feel that PPS is very useful for those people who used to give missed calls and not for conversationalists. (This view was already expressed earlier by another member here) -
Vodafone Introduces Per Second Billing In Maharashtra & Goa Circle
KumaarShah replied to ashzoomerintrack's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Doesn't it look like another cartel offering in the offing???? When will RCOM join them? Both Voda and Airtel have offered the same scheme, I doubt if RCOM will improve on it. Just for the sake of another choice, they also will have a similar scheme. But their Simple plan rox for sure. People who use this PPS will eventually have to come back to Simple or PPM plans. 50ps pm will be cheaper than 72 ps pm definitely. And yes, none of the operators have as yet bettered or matched RCOMs Simple plans. -
I think by 2019, we will get to see 4G, the way things are moving for 3G...

, You can also use LP 40 and LP 80 for onnet and offnet local calling. Both can be simultaneously activated to get better benefits. Onnet calls will cost 20ps and offnet 40ps pm...

Airtel Reduced Call Rates In Prepaid
KumaarShah replied to hritik123's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Voda, Chennai is giving STV152 which offers all India calling at 50ps for 6 months. If you top-up with Rs 1000, then you get the STV152 free of cost plus you also get Rs 1000 TT (Full TT)... Seems like the empire is hitting back.... :Riendo: -

@chandan nasta, Good Luck to you, but going by the experiences of many people who have had the same misfortune as you, it seems an uphill task. All the best, brother... Atleast, wisened by this experience, you will take adequate care in future. However, I feel that you can file a police complaint with the phone / mobile number of the thief, so as to get a better chance at recovering your money... Maybe you will have to seek some legal help...

Vodafone Introduces Local & Std Calls @ 1p/s
KumaarShah replied to savramesh's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
A cousin of mine who is in RCOM told me that Airtel will lose Rs 10000 crore from their existing revenues and Voda / Idea will lose more than Rs 6000 crores if ever they try to match RCOM's Simple plans, forget DoCoMo's PPS plan. Airtel/Voda/Idea will not take such a huge risk with their ARPUs. So, enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyy with RCOM's SImple plans....
