Thanks, arun. I too thought so.

@arun, In the older version, just before the topic title, you had a orange coloured box which used to take us to the last unread post. This is missing in the new version. Though clicking on the topic title takes us to the last unread post, sometimes it does not work properly. I browse RW from many computers and also from my mobiles. Is this multi-browsing from different computers causing this problem? I see the orange coloured arrow in Sadikk's world's topics today but not in the new topics under View New contents and hence I asked this.

Thats very good, if true. But then, will they charge you roaming charges or will they allow home charges while roaming in home circle? -

I do not use much of BSNL voice in any case... Since I have around 10 RCOM connections, all voice is from any of these. SO, Airtel also will be used only for data mostly. If there is any other alternative ISP without LL, it is welcome. As long as I get it for Rs 500 pm at both places, I am game with about 2GB download and 2mbps speeds.

Telecom Subscriber Base Count In India
KumaarShah replied to savramesh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
The 464 mn figure must be inclusive of landlines and CDMA also. -
^^^ I think too much suspense already, so give the answer...

OT- sorry, I have 2 BSNL connections - one at my home and one at my office. The home one is in my personal name and the office one in my company name. Both are in Plan 500C. 2 days back, someone from BSNL called me and said that Plan 500C is only for personal use and that there was a mistake by the telephone exchange in allotting the particular plan 500C to my office account. They want to put this in Plan 700 which is for business users. I refused her and told her I would prefer surrendering the connection and go in for Airtel. She said OK. See the bureaucratic attitude of BSNL. Now I am on Plan 500C since January 2009. I don't know how they operated for almost 7 months without noticing that this is a business number. Suddenly they woke up and now they are also willing to let me surrender my connection. I will wait for Airtel's new tariff plans and surrender both my BSNL connections.

Please suggest which connection to take

Plus both the husband and the wife may not always be together to use any mobile. It makes immense sense to be on the same operator. If network down is the issue, then one can keep additional SIMs of other operators. In any case, GSM is the better choice nowadays. And if one wants to be on CDMA, then go in for OMH only, so that you can change RUIMs also. -
@rgeslm, Complain to CC 4 to 5 times and talk a bit strongly. Then they will put you onto someone senior, who will sort out your problems. It took them 2.5 months to give me settings for my N81 and SE W660i phones. A complete set of nincompoops are there in RCOM CC. You cannot get any better service from these jokers. I am waiting till my balance is finished and then I will dump both my RGSM SIMs into the Bay of Bengal and get rid of such lowly services....

Yes as compared to CDMA, it is terribly expensive and all RCDMA LLs and FWPs are not included from RGSM for onnet calls. The converse (from RCDMA) is much better deal than this (RGSM).

Tough luck, Like Nokia, LG also has stopped all development for CDMA mobiles. Maybe for US market, they will still develop CDMA mobiles, but for India, it may not.... Anyway, no harm in hoping for the best...
