  1. Brain Teasers

No, but your answer is more concise... @admins/mods, why does b,c,d etc turn into emoticons if it is followed immediately by ). If there is a space after the alphabet, it shows correctly...
  2. Brain Teasers

    35. What number comes next in this sequence: 2, 5, 9, 19, 37, ? It is 75, the logic is {(a x b ) -1},{(a x c) +1} and so on.

  4. Rgsm Tariffs Are Increasing Day By Day

You see, they need a lot of money now to fully and furether develop GSM and also for 3G, so why not join the loot (like what the top 3 are doing in GSM - Airtel, Voda and Idea) Make merry while the sun shines...
  5. @kamal, Sorry to note from your post about your ailment. Wish you a speedy recovery. I somehow also wish and pray GOD that you were only kidding Dhiraj about the above.

@savramesh, I think its time for you to answer questions 11, 15, 17 and 20.
  7. Dot Rings Mobile Number Portability

The conditions of 90 days before switching operators and also the high charges of Rs 200 to rs 300 for every switch will kill the scheme even before its birth. Secondly, as rightly stated by ipconfig, changing numbers is not at all a major problem, people can find you where ever you may be. Only for people who have to change their stationery like visiting cards, letterheads, etc this may be some sort of a problem. But this also can be surmounted. Keep informing the number change by SMS/Emails/calls. Or retain the old number with a LT prepaid and keep informing all callers over the 6 months that the connection is live. Then dump it or retain as long as the number is live. This will be cheaper than MNP. These are my observations, for others it may vary....
  8. The GSM lobby has already objected to the implementation of this.... Hope the GoI is strong enough to implement it....
  9. I never call in the nights but sometimes when I cannot get sleep, I use WAP to browse RW... Itis sort of useful only for BF-GFs....

  18. Best Network In Tamilnadu

RCDMA for me is tops till now, both network wise and tariffs wise also. I have been getting good tariff benefits from RCOM for all my lines so far. In spite of all my rantings against RCOM here and also to CMO several times, I am happy with RCDMA. Of late, RCDMA does not respond properly to emails and CC is still sort of nincompoop-ish. RGSM CC has definitely improved after Tata DoCoMo's arrival. They sorted out my GPRS issue which had otherwise remained un-resolved for more than 2.5 months. I have not yet tried Tata DoCoMo and am totally dis-satisfied with RGSM. Never tried Tata Indicom, Virgin, MTS also. As for the others like Aircel, Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone - all are very good network wise but tariff wise, no-no from my side.
  19. The All New Rimweb!

To add to kalpak's comments on OperaMini, the background colours sort of overlap each other (almost) and it becomes very difficult as all are pastel shades - white, light blue, light grey etc. It is very difficult to distinguish from the topic title, forum heading, started by,stats, last post info....
  20. The All New Rimweb!

Excellent look, fresh and nice feel.... Very relaxing on the eyes also with the white or light greyish or bluish background....And easily readable.... Keep up the good work, Arun & team.....
  21. Reliance Gsm Networks Features And Gprs Settings

Finally after several complaints over the last 2 and 1/2 months, finally RCOM was able to enable GPRS on 2 of my mobiles N81 and SEW660i. The speeds are awesome. And you have to choose the 10p/10kb plan. On removing the SIM and re-inserting it, you will be asked if you wanty to download settings, you have to choose-yes. The ther way is to go to RMenu (SIM Toolkit) and there at the bottom of the list, you will find -GET SETTINGS - here you will have 3 choices - GPRS Settings, WAP Settings and MMS Settings. One by one choose them and be patient while it downloads all the required settings. Once it is done, you will be able to access the net from your mobile. The default website wap.rworld.co.in will fire in and here you will have to go to Mobile Internet plans and choose the plan you like. There are 4 plans. I chose 10p/10kb plan. OperaMini is working terrific. Other apps , I have not tried yet, will post later.

Not sure if this helps, but try sending FIND and any mobile number in india to know more about the number. This is to be sent to 56060. I have just received the sms from rcom on my mobile and hence i have not tried out the service. No idea about the charges also....
