  1. Rimweb Cug

^^^ Read once again the tariff rates he has requested and then maybe you will also appreciate it. All India STD at 50 ps entails a rental of 249 (STD Pack) And he has also asked for all roaming at 50 ps which is unavailable on any plan as yet except SRP200R where the STD roaming rate is 1.50. But maybe you are right, maybe all local ONNET could be provided free - no harm in asking..... @pkdaga, maybe you need to add some data charges waiver and local & national sms also in your requested plan....
  2. Mobile Phones Being Hacked Across Country

The more the technology changes, the more easier it will become for law breakers and criminals to do things stated above. They will always be one step ahead of the law makers....And we cannot do anything....
  3. Exactly, airtel will have to match voda's aggressive tariffs to retain their growth. The recent stv 32 of voda has still not been matched by airtel. Only rcom responded with a similar and slightly better stv offering all local calls at 60ps and all std at 1.20. Voda has been recently introducing innovative tariffs. Way to go, voda....maybe airtel does not want any more congestion on their networks and hence they appear to be tardy in their better tariff introductions....time will tell....
  4. Online Bill Payment For Bsnl Landline

I have mandated citibank credit cards to auto debit my card for all my mobile, land line including bsnl since almost last 2 years. No problems at all....plus i get lots of reward points also....i think 5 points for every rupee, not very sure though...
  5. Free Missed Call Alert On Reliance Cdma

^^^ I don't think it will work for RTL areas... It will only work where the RGSM number series starts with 90xx......
  6. New Tariff Cutter Introduced For Gsm Subscribers

It has been launched in Chennai from 10.04.2009 and the following are the offers: - 49 starter pack (with LT validity) includes FRC46 which will give you 0.30ps onnet calls during day and 0.05 ps during nights, 60 ps to all offnet and Rs 1 STD calls. Eff. the SIM costs Rs 3 only. plus you get 20 bucks TT apart from the regular 1.50 main balance and 6.50 promo balance. (I have not yet got the 6.50 promo balance still and call charges were 1 buck for the 1st minute for the 1st call for activating the SIM. After that I have got always, "this route is busy" Even calls to *333 not going, *367# works erratically though. I complained from my CDMA number about the GSM problems and lets see what happens now. For SMS, two packs are available -SMS30 will give you 500 local SMS and SMS61 will give you 750 local SMS per day (so 22,500 SMS /month - this is as per Chennai/TN industry standards and nothing great from RCOM) For STD, you have 35,70 and 140 packs which will give you 50/100/200 minutes of free STD calls to any number.
  7. New To Reliance Service

^^^ You also have STD 70, STD 140 packs for 100 minutes and 200 minutes STD calling to any number. IMHO, it would be better to use NCC 650 with 0.75 pm calling to any STD number and free R2R in the night.
  8. Pm Flood Control Enabled

    Lucky me, no PMs received....
  9. Vote For Rupee Symbol

Voted for the hindi letter r with 2 hori lines on top....
  10. Problem With Nokia 6265

^^^ I still say it is the classic slider strip problem...
  11. Switzerland Roaming

^^^ See their website or maybe they have a separate site for passport, will inform you as soon as i get the site address.. EDIT: Link is there on their website home page itself Link: https://www.reliancepassport.com/mainindex.html Its more like matrix AFAIK...
  12. Sms From Computer

Not working for me either - the sms' are not received at all on my RCOM mobiles. But they are instantly received on my airtel and voda mobiles...
  13. Gprs No Longer Free

^^^ I agree with kshah on the above....
  14. The saying, "The more the merrier" in the above case will not hold true. IMHO, we now have enough competition already. There will be atleast a dozen operators in each circle - both GSM and CDMA. So this is enough for competition. Else we will reach a stage where we will buy a new SIM card every fortnight or month, just to try out the services. Just imagine if there are another couple of dozen operators offering services. What will happen then? Do you think we will get free calling? There will be cartelisation (much like Airtel, Voda, !dea did some time back) and we as consumers will be hit badly.
  15. Mts Lifetime Sim @ 49

^^^ It really means nothing....DOT will keep extending the deadlines... All under the table business will be done and deadlines extended forever....
  16. Aircel Launches Services In Mumbai

^^^ Superb plan - it encompasses voice, sms and data and all at very reasonable rates...Will RCOM have the guts to introduce such a plan? Only minus is paying 1000 bucks every month irrespective of usage or no usage... But nevertheless a very good plan....
  17. Problem With Nokia 6265

@ sumal, Its the classic "SLIDER STRIP' problem. Due to prolonged usage and sometimes even sparing usage, the slider strip gets torn or damaged. You will have to approach the local service wala (can be done with in about half an hour and pay Rs 500 to 750) or if you prefer go to the Nokia ASC (be ready to leave your handset with them for about 20 to 30 days and still pay a bomb - about 1500 to 2000 bucks) The choice is yours...
  18. Switzerland Roaming

How about Matrix and Reliance Passport?
  19. Free Missed Call Alert On Reliance Cdma

^^^ I have diverted from my RIM Prepaid number, there is no reply and my balance has not got deducted as yet. (after 3 days) So it must be free, but with RCOM, one never knows. They may wake up after a year or in the year 2020 and claim all dues.
  20. Aircel Launches Services In Mumbai

^^^ Is it a commercial launch or a soft launch ala RCOM?
  21. Lg 3510 Is Costly @ Rs. 1400 And Without A Cdma Card

^^^ Not only Mumbai/Pune, but all over India also.
  22. Need Ur Valuable Help To Buy A Netbook

@saurav, I was just joking about 2 anniversaries, hope you don't take it seriously.
  23. Need Ur Valuable Help To Buy A Netbook

^^^ the wedding anniversary will come twice atleast before windows7 comes.... And why wait for w7?
  24. Mts Lifetime Sim @ 49

It is apparent that all CDMA operators - RCOM, TATA, MTS are hell bent on getting numbers only and not providing quality services. It is extremely sad that RCOM despite having the best network both voice wise and data wise is killing customers with their stupidly planned charges for data usage. All other operators like Aircel, Voda, Airtel depsite having crawling speeds advertise widely about their data services and how. Case in point is Aircel - getting Dhoni to endorse their GPRS services.
  25. Free Missed Call Alert On Reliance Cdma

^^^ You have misunderstood the logic of xx in the above example. You need to know the RGSM series in your circle. it would be something like 90xx abcdef where xx is the number pertaining to your circle only and the rest of the numbers abcdef are your own or RGSM allotted numbers. So for Lucknow circle, find out the xx from any RGSM number in your circle. Also find out whether you have RGSM or is it RTL in your circle. If the latter, then maybe you will not be able to use this funda. What you have stated is the STD code of Lucknow 0522 which cannot be used in the above example.
