drali2, I guess you will have to tinker with FF---Tools--options--privacy and security tabs. Maybe inadvertently, you have clicked OK to block rimweb site when that pop-up appeared. -
HYDERABAD: Way2SMS, a leading messaging solutions portal, has allowed its users to send SMSes free of cost across the nation. Way2SMS also claimed that they bring unique and innovative mobile advertising and branding opportunities in the form of mobitisement (advertisement on mobile phone). Talking to media persons here today V V Raju, CEO of the company said that users have to log on to Way2SMS to send SMS. Registered users can send free SMSes across the nation. It's not mandatory to register with Way2SMS to receive SMS. All types of mobile phones receive these messages," he said. "Our country has become the fastest growing telecom market in the world. Around February last year, India overtook Russia to become the third largest mobile market," he added. India's total mobile subscriber base now stands at 237 mn in comparison with China's 534 million, US's 257 mn. At current growth rate, India will cross the 264 million mark by May or May-end, overtaking the US," Raju said. "India is expected to have 450 million mobile subscribers by the turn of the decade, which means every third Indian will have his/her own mobile phone by 2010. This growth also gives a great potential for SMS too. SMS in India is expected to grow from 59 billion messages in 2006, to 180 billion in 2010," he added. As I am on DAPO, this service has no utility for me. I agree with all the above people that it is an intrusion to our pivacy apart from being a nuisance in the form of unwanted advts. This post was only for those people who want free SMS across the nation. But let them weigh the pros and cons carefully before jumping onto the bandwagon.

The Spectrum Tussle - Cdma V Gsm
KumaarShah replied to Arun's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
^^^ AFAIK, it will take atleast 6 to 9 months to see a new operator starting shop. By which time, the other circles also will pickup. I foresee that the new operators will start services on a larger scale with more circles rather than one circle at a time. So TN/Chennai will not be the 1st off the block. All the southern states will start at the same time. -
^^^ It is really absurd of the bank to show more importance to the collection agent than the customer. Maybe the collection agent also would have threatened the bank of action, because these banks do not update their collections with the collection agent and in turn, these collection agents call us up and threaten. It is not their fault either, IMHO. It is solely the bank's fault. I second your moral: Do not ever take up ABN's CC.

The Spectrum Tussle - Cdma V Gsm

^^^ Looks like we are all set for another round of long, longer and longish delays...Was the CVC sleeping all this while? At the fag end of the process, now they want to know why there was no auction? The reason is very obvious to the layest of layman, but not CVC!!! -
I think you will have to wait for the new HTCs to be launched by RCOM. Maybe the Blackberry also will appeal to you. Dont know the model numbers. See Rcom's website for more info.

The Voda offer is not available for Chennai/TN. -
^^^ It may be a systems failure, but then it happens mostly with ABN AMRO only. It has never happened with ICICI nor with Citibank. I have credit cards from multiple banks. The highest problem is from ABN AMRO and HSBC apart from SBI. These apart, I have not had any problem with any other bank. I agree with Honest's, petar's and soniraj's suggestions - you threaten them with a consumer court case and also send emails to all TV News channels - this is the only way to get them to bend down and apologise to you. Ofcourse it may a systems error, but then there was no necessity for a collection agent to call you up and ask for payments. Since you are not at fault and also you say you have their letter to the effect that your sign differs, you have every right to screw them up thoroughly. If you have made one mistake and they would in all probability charged you Late fees, interest etc, you also can claim compensation from them. Go to TV news channels and also approach a competent consumer court lawyer and file a suit. Dont leave them also.

Very good move if implemented properly; will prove a great boon to all.

Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
KumaarShah replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
So RCOM users will not get 999 or 9999 or 99999 etc. We will have to remain content with 993 only. -

How Can I Access Rimweb And Reply Using My Reliance Prepaid Connection?
KumaarShah replied to carbinem4's topic in Forum Feedback
You are right when you say that more people can access the wealth of info available on RIMweb.in if they are able to access from their mobiles itself. But not all subscribers have DAPO plan or L1 plan to enable them to browse free of cost. And RWorld's 10ps/10kb is way too expensive. However your idea/query is very good to promote RIMweb.in. @arun, Any options for lo-fi version users to reply from their mobiles? -
Congrats to both Honest and Shaikhsadik Well deserved promotions. All the best to both.

^^^ Thanks a ton. Already registered.

I checked both the specs page and the features page. it is not clear whether FM is available on this handset or not. You may check it with your local dealer or if any HOTSPOT dealer is there in your city, then you can try there. HOTSPOT is incidentally the retail sales point for SPICE mobiles and they also sell all other brands as well.

Updated: 3G Auction completed after 34 days of bidding
KumaarShah replied to Arun's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
What happened to the old dates of April end and year end? Of course the years were not mentioned at all. It appears that the GSM gangsters have greased the TRAI babus very well to delay the implementation of MNP. -
^^^ Vikas, Link: http://192.220.122.83/model_spec_D88n.aspx As per the info on the above link web page, this handset supports java and java games in full screen. However the battery 800mAH will be totally inadequate for CDMA usage. Their specs says 1.7 hours to 3.5 hours. In reality, you can expect only about 60% of this time. So within 1 hour TT, your battery will be drained out. Hope they are giving 2 batteries and an external battery charger. Check this feature with the dealer before buying.

Golden Oldies (old Is Gold)
KumaarShah replied to Honest's topic in Ringtones / Wallpapers / Themes / Applications / Games
Great Ones, Kamal. You are outstanding. Keep up the good work.!!!!! Maybe you can also give a single zip file later on with all the ringtones. Downloading everyday one by one is a little tedious. You can also zip full songs, if possible. -
Try this website for details of any number in India: http://www.informationmadness.com/cms/inde...0&Itemid=49 BTW, Your 9411 number belongs to UP West.

Can a petrol-engined car run with Diesel or Kerosene? It is akin to that. There are many people who still ask this question and hence, we need not mock at or laugh at their inquisitiveness.
