Dear Nilesh, You can only dream about all these handsets for they will never see the light of the day at least for another 5 years. By that time,they will have become obsolete. In any case, the VX9800 is surely a deadly model with almost all features that one can aspire for. Reliance will also strip the phone completely before it comes to the markets. And it will be useless model as in the case of my 6230. And yes, the LG Upcoming models are of GSM and not CDMA series. Hi All, I have a 6230 with me since 24th Jan.'06. My 6230 has signal sensitivity problems due to which there are frequent call drops and SMS "Not Sent" errors. This apart, the voice clarity was also bad - both i/c and o/g. Has anyone else encountered these problems? The Network Engineer who came to visit me has informed me that there are at least six such complaints in Chennai itself for this model. Reliance and LG replaced this 6230 with another 6230 on 1st May 2006. Now this new handset also has developed the same set of problems described above. On complaint with LG and Reliance, they have offered to give replacement with any other LG handset of my choice. Now begins my problems: - 1. no other single LG h/s has MP3, Voice, Video camera etc. 2. LMS also is not available. SMS on call reject also not available. 3. no external memory available in other h/s. So what should I do? I have been given time till 5PM today to exercise my choice. I asked them for a couple of days time, hopefully I can make them wait. Can anyone please help me urgently with a h/s choice? Should I wait for newer handsets like 6330, 6500 etc? Thanks in advance. What I have in my 6230 is ver 17 and not ver 16, but with all the problems as described in Post # 48 above.

In ver 17 which was updated on my 6230 last week, the following were the problems: - 1. if you select any ringtone as default, and if your phonebook has any entry which will receive calls under default ringtone, then the phone will not ring - it will only show the light. You have to set each and every entry to a ringtone other than default. 2. same for sms. Conversely, if you receive a call / sms from a number which is not saved in your Phonebook, then you can hear the default ringtone when a call / sms comes in. Voice tool menu also is working fine. However, if you select a voice recorded message as your ringtone (which is possible), your phone will hang. For me, no other problems were noticed. @ hyd_ladka, is this ver 17 you have referred to above capable of receiving calls with default ringtones? Please verify with your contacts in LGASC and revert.

How do you write so many SMSs to the computer? Did you transfer from your mobile to the computer? What is the procedure to do that? Can it be done from RIM? I also have a good collection of SMSs both in GSM (Nokia N-Gage) and RIM (LG 6230), but I do not have the time to type out each and every SMS on the computer.

I too experienced the same and my account was debited by rs 296/ for 4 games. No warning was made available before downloading. I complained to *333 and they told me that I have to see the RWorld rates before I download anything. I will have to pay up, so beware when you download anything from RWorld. There will be no warning for us BREW enabled handset owners. You see, this is the latest technology to loot customers, one way or the other.

Hi, I am using 5340 with a serial data cable (of 5130 or 6130 bought from ebay) But till date, Bitpim does not recognise my handsets (5340 and 6230) and I am unable to proceed further. Can you please let me know which data cable to use exactly? I am using Bitpim 0.8.07. I also had 0.8.08 which used to hang every often, hence I removed that and reinstalled 0.8.07. However, the same data cable is detecting one of my 350R FWPs and I was able to u/l some of the midi ringtones provided by Vishal Gupta. I tried all combinations and permutations possible to get Bitpim to detect all my phones, but to no avail. I even used LGKDP and UniCDMA, but no success. (Hi, Vishal Gupta, if you could throw some light, please do so) Anyway with the financial year ending, I had to divert my time to accounts and hence I was unable to spare time for Bitpim. I shall once again try and post if I face any problems. Thanks in Advance. Hi Vishal, I am still unable to use Bitpim with my 5340. I have enclosed the screenshot for you to checkup. I tried with different ports, different phone models, etc etc but to no avail. I am using the 5130/6130/5340/6230 serial data cable and not the usb data cable with my 5340. Pl advise how to go about things now.

File a consumer cheating case. You may have all the proof with you - invoice, handset change certificate etc, etc. Go ahead, do not waste any more of your time begging these chor company wallahs.
