how to know whether bsnl evdo s available in your area. I asked nearest customer care centre. They r not knowing.btw, i'm in mayiladuthurai, tamilnadu. Somebody help. I called 1503,1504,1500 etc. From my bsnl mob. But no use.

how do they give it so cheaply? Is there any catch?

@ thilak, aama nanba, enkitta omh mobile illa. That's why not able to check. Thought of buying a new one. But, as mts doesnt have good plans for data and also no evdo in my place, lost interest. Anyway, did you try that data card helpline? They might have some knowledge regarding settings. Else call nodal(9150255255) or appelate(9150355355). FYI, They won't attend the calls very easily. So, keep trying. Meanwhile i'll try to enquire and update you.. Ok va! And btw, what booster packs you've put? What's your tariff?

Calling up 155 doesn't reveal all the offers.. Neither do smsing to 52505.. They'll message you the offers..

sorry if the question is dumb.. As you've used it, i'm asking you. Tata zone means like wap internet or you can just browse that tata zone website? And also, are there different setting for both? How do you tether your mobile(i mean do you dial from pc or by a tethering app directly from phone)? And another thing, is it through proxy or socket connection. Try if you could use a skype app..

Can cdma operators really detect whether the phone is used as a modem or for browsing in phone itself bcoz in gsm, the operators can't find..@saket, do you use different settings for browsing in mobile and pc?

@thilak, hi nanba, jus call up 155. they'll tell the correct settings .i've written it somewhere but i forgot where. Actually, browsing charges are rs.2/MB. No plans available. Do you've a omh sim or normal sim?

What plan you're using man? In which circle?

Is there option in tata for recording another channel while watching another and option for recording a series?

In mts tamilnad, all local calls @1p/2 sec for 99 rs. with validity of 1 year. :-) FOR 191 rs -- 1p/2 sec all local. STD-- 1p/2 sec for first 400 min, after that 1p/sec. All the above for 6 months which gets automatically renewed for 6 months if you've done cumulative recharge of 900 rs. In that 6 months. Another thing in mts is that the benefits of the booster packs we put, gets added up not like other operators where one'll get cancelled when you put another.

Noone from Hyderabad here?? I heard BEAM Telecom gives sum 10 Mbps unlimited for sumthin around 1000 rs with FUP. I dun remeber it correctly. But FUP is like 10 Mbps till 30 GB and 2 Mbps thereafter. ??? Someone try to give competition to Dr.mufaddal`s sprint.

I heard somewhere.. If any of your transmitted communication in any frequency outside your own premises, it requires you to hold a license in india. Dunno entire details on it though..

No. This is not on the lines of reliance offer.. They(mts) have been giving offers like this abroad(ukraine etc.) from long back.. Just now intro in india.

All mts customers eligibile for mbonus. You'll get offer depending on your usage.. And i got 2 offers 1. Rs. 155 tt for 125 (113 normal balance, 42 in special account for 30 days) 2. Rs. 275 tt for 200(rs.185 normal 90 special account valid for 30 days)

In TN, when u do 198 and 52 recharges together, they both add up 198 is for 0.29/min local 0.49/min for STD for LIFETIME 52 is Mcard 4 lifetime 1 Paise/sec So, Yo`ll be charged 1 P/sec upto 29 seconds in the first min and 29 p/min in the successive mins..

MTS Rocks.. In coverage: similar to rcom In voice plans: greaat.. I've got a prepaid plan where i won't pay beyond 29 paise per minute without any monthly packs. No network congestion at all. In data plans: s**ks.. Unless you buy their handsets like buzz etc.

@kanag sir, true i think rcom evdo coverage is better even than bsnl 3g. I'm in mayiladuthurai. Only evdo available here is rcom. Infact, only 3rd gen option available here is that.
