  1. In Aug-2011 I ported my Aircel prepaid into Voda prepaid and one week later they (voda) smoothly migrated prepaid to postpay. No need to port out again.
  2. Dear guys, I could not not understand where to post this query so chose this thread. I want to know what is the difference in between 32k SIM & 64k SIM and one's advantage over the other.
  3. Best Network In Delhi?

Dear Pulkit Can you pls elaborate why not "Idea" ? Actually I have ported to "Idea" only few days ago but found no problem till now. I am using it at Noida and Ghaziabad.
  4. Best Network In Delhi?

Is "Idea" too bad here in Delhi/NCR ??????
  5. Dear all I am currently using vodafone post pay and want to switch to Idea. Will it be a wiser decision ? The only reason is better post-pay plan available with Idea. Is network of Idea at par with that of vodafone's in Delhi/NCR and in UP west especially in metro, malls and in basements ? The mobile will be mostly used in Ghaziabad, Noida and Greater Noida.
  6. Dear all, Pls confirm if Idea has the licence in Jammu & Kashmir and in North-East. I mean will it work (post-pay) there ? I came to know from someone that it wont.
  7. Only 2G, or say for voice usage only. Any "Idea" user from Delhi/NCR plz share your experience.
  8. How Operators Are Scuttling MNP

Can any body guide me? I am trying to port out from R-GSM to voda. My first request was rejected by Reliance due to some reason. Then I had to escalate the case to R-Nodal officer. After the matter being resolved, I am now unable to get UPC code and even the Nodal team is clueless. They say the matter has been resolved and they have ported -out the number and I should contact to Voda. While the number is active in Reliance and I can make/receive calls as well as SMSs. The Voda SIM card is in non-registered state. The first UPC has expired on 11/July/2011.
  9. Reliance GSM In New Delhi

Dear all, Hi, I have just joined this forum and do not know much about the forum, hence there may be some mistake how and where to start a new post/topic.Yoy all are requested to help me. Actually i want a new post paid RGSM connection as a main number for my personal use apart from my company's corporate connection which is a vodafone connection. I have never used RGSM in Delhi/Ghaziabad but had heard how horrible it was some 8-9 months before. I want to know has the situation improved since then from the members using RGSM in Delhi ? And that too can some one rely fully upon the Reliance as having its a main number ? Or should i go for cdma ? I have noticed in cdma, signal varies too much and especially in night after 11/12 pm to morning 5/6 am. Thanks in advance.
  10. Though it is slightly off-track, i have a query. Is there any way to check the porting status after giving the porting request ?
  11. Reliance GSM In New Delhi

Any significant improvement in R-GSM service in Delhi/NCR after MNP ?????
  12. Dear frnds, Pls suggest a basic phone (i want to gift it to my mother) with following-: 1> gsm/cdma (priority to gsm). 2> Easy to use. 3> Can use menu in Hindi. 4> Large character at display and if available, large character at key-pad too. 5> Speaker must. 6> Budget upto 5K. 7> No chinese. Also are there branded dual SIM mobile phones (no chines) availble in which call can be made by either SIM but without re-starting the phone ? If yes, pls do suggest.
  13. Reliance GSM In New Delhi

I have left the idea of post-pay Reliance for now. Currently using post-pay Voda as my primary number and R-CDMA prepaid for cheap STD calls.
  14. I have used this MCA service for R-CDMA and then Hutch in 2006/07 (not exactly remember). In case of Hutch, i used to receive SMS for missed calls almost immediately when the phone would become reachable while for Reliance, SMS for missed calls, used to deliver very late, sometimes next day too. I, then de-activated the service for Reliance as i found it not very useful then. The very purpose of MCA seems to be lost for Reliance. Now i cannot say if they have improved ?
  15. @KanagaDeepan, But Dear, using Voda or Airtel is a compulsion. At my office (Noida), both voda and Airtel have installed boosters and no operator else. In basement (-1 & -2) only these two work. At my residence (Ghaziabad)too,i have tested Voda, Airtel, Idea,Aircel, R-GSM & R-CDMA, but only voda/Airtel and somewhat R-CDMA work here.In that case, one has very limited option. And yes, Tata-CDMA is worst here. Then what is left to choose for ?????
  16. please share the offer which Vodafone gave you ? Sorry for delay It was simply unlimited calling for another one local voda number for 3 months only, not valid in roaming.
  17. Dear all, I have a query. I have given a port-out request for my post-pay voda number and got a call from voda to remain with it with some offer.I did not accept the offer, and then executive told me that he would call me later after consulting with his senior. Now, suppose i do not receive a call from voda and neither i opt to port-out the number, what will happen after 02/02/2011 when the validity of UPC will expire ?
  18. What Not To Do With Your Mobile Phone

  19. ♠ New Year Resolutions! ♥

Thanks Rajan, But what happens with me- i quit it and after 3 or 4 months i start it again. I have noticed one thing i have re-started it under extreme pressure of work,in tension or when alone. can be said lack of will-power or lack of consistency, but i really want that.
  20. ♠ New Year Resolutions! ♥

Dear bro, Can you pls give some tips to give-up smoking too ????
  21. Friends, once i read in TOI that the MNP would be implemented in two phases. In first phase, it would be implemented within intra-circle and the second phase would cover the inter-circle. And a step forward, it was suggested to implement the number portability to land line numbers too.
  22. Reliance GSM In New Delhi

Thanks guys for suggestions, I did an experiment. Just bought a RGSM connection. Though signal strngth is almost in full but voice breaks frequently and sometimes it is not clear too. I also used a CDMA pnone of my friend. It reminded me old days of land-line phones when i heard " all lines are busy" when called to Lucknow & Bareilly. And the call could connect after 8-9 attempts. Friends, i basically need a post-pay connection with cheap STD rates and obviously with minimum monthly rent. Is there any better options ? I could find only Reliance which suits my need.
  23. SMS issues on Reliance GSM in Tamil Nadu

Though i am from Delhi and using RGSM from only 2 days but i observed that in some cases, i got the delivery report too late though the sms reached much before and in some cases got the delivery report even when the massage did not reach.
