    @ sujit bhai...see there is process of verification of the subscribers...operators use to do Address verification for prepaid and Address & Credit Verification for Postpaid Customers earlier. since there is credit risk associated with the postpaid segment...afaik, in 2009 TRAI had issued guidelines to the operator to stop doing the credit verification for postpaid which meant if the address verification is positive ( and the verification is post activation) the connection can not be denied basis credit verification negative ( worth to pay the bills ) Hope this clears...!

    AFAIK, trai had given mandate to the operators not to reject any postpaid application basis credit verification. Operator has to clear this before selling. Talking to the head can help you. Sent from my HTC EVO 3D

  12. Actually there is no "retailer" in the picture as I had submitted the documents at their official Relationship Center. But for unknown reasons, they kept referring to the ARC as 'retailer". Maybe to escape blame.. By the way, if wrong Syntax was followed in sending my porting request, would I have received the confirmation SMS from +1901 that my application has been received and is under process? U had generated ur upc well, but the retailer (arc) sent wrong text for port in initiation, that landed u in trouble:p Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
  13. Incorrect retailer sms does not get passed away from the company's local clearing house, which means the request never reached mch. These retailers do not entertain mnp requests since the companies have stopped paying higher comissions on mnp. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk

  16. @Kapilthio You are right on that. But As per Karthik's Post, he has not received any message for the rejection marked by Tata. This message is never sent by the Donor Operator but is sent by the MCH. which means the request has not reached the MCH. Moreover Tata's reply to PG Portal also states that. So it is apparently pending with Airtel gateway. Thus would be resolved by Airtel only.

    At times I could not initiate calls from my 3VO, it says call attempt could not be originated due to signal loss or fade signal problem. and the network bars are simultaneously showing good network bars
  18. @Karthik Did you got a request initiation confirmation from Airtel?? If not, then airtel has not entered your port in request. You need to visit nearest ARC and get this done. If yes, then re-open the request at PG Portal. Operators have to mandate to close the cases there. @Sujit The request number mentioned above is not Port out request, its an auto case generation for the retention efforts to be made to the customer.

    Video Calling is being provided by reliance, No activation is required for Video Calling be it prepaid or postpaid. Apart from the network settings in handset, you also need to check that whether the cell site you are covered with is 3G equipped or is a 2G site....Means is your city covered by 3G
  20. You need to give a request with TATA to change your MDN, MDN change is a normal process and it does not affect your billing plans and services.

  23. @Hari Companies are focussing more on GSM becoz, 1.Its sells more than CDMA becoz of the handset issues. 2.Penetration of Mobile users in Rural Market is low comparatively urban. A daily wager would not mind changing his number everyday or twice a week if he gets more talk time of the money invested. Since options are more in GSM, therefore choice would be definitely GSM.

    Since it was mapped to MDN earlier, the RSN is in ageing state in their inventory ( reported lost ), you need to ask the WW guy to get the RSN released first from the backend. You can get your number updated on this RSN post that. Vinay Ji, ladkiya mast dhoond ke late ho aap

    There is a considerable improvement in battery life post update, thanks Rajan ji ! Havent yet.. dont even know whether this was done before I bought...
