Guys many operators are not allowing to port in from mts ...n some say u can only get postpaid connection after porting...no prepaid..what should I do...only 8 days left...what will happen if I don port my number..??<br /><br /><br />

You can get a dvr like reliance dvr or taka sky + so they both have recording facility and its easy to use. NO idea abt recording within lcd itself by attaching external hdd

i saw some screen protectors which were cheap ones of ScreenWard brand...can they b trusted.?.i dont wanna spoil my new handset (HTC EVO) if they are really bad...js want to know if any one of u hv used ScreenWard screen protectors (which are there all over ebay). if so let me know the experience...i don mind even if they come off after 6 months...my only concern is that they should in no way harm my screen

Sorry to say but u paid more...rinco brand is available locally at rs 50-100 depending on d handset model..usually the newer handsets are priced higher ...i got mine for rs175 as I bought it online.

I got rinco screen protector...rinco/screenward/adpo are all same as far as quality goes...they are all decent..i got a specific one for evo..so it fits fine...only issues with these cheap protectors are air bubbles and they do attract finger marks...but i guess they can be cleaned off easily..and one more thing..they get scratched pretty easily. For the price i would recommend them...they are holding up good on my devic despite the 2 bubbles i have...the screen has same responsiveness and unless you see the bubbles u cannot tell that i have the screen protector on. Hope it helps.

[Mods sorry for double post] Also..make sure that background data and auto sync are enabled....might help...no harm in trying...and one way u can register yr gmail acc is by the youtube app...sign in frm ur gmail account on the youtube app Hope it helps

^^ First do this...go to manage applications and clear data of all google related apps...as suggested above. then go to accounts and settings and sync your account again... try if these two work...or else hard reset will definately work...but i think thats the last thing u would want. let us know the results.

^^ There is a problem with a certain software build of froyo that doesnt allow market to work....post your software info.. meanwhile you can try an app called "appbrain" which is js a replacement for market in imo 10 times better than native market app

^^ thanx bro for the info...i hv seen mixed reviews on it over the net...but imo i still think 1k for a scratch guard is too much...it may be well worth it ...still the felling of spending over 1000 bucks for a screen protector is difficult for me to digest well i have ordered a cheap yet decent scratch guard at ebay...expecting it in a day or two...for cover i have my mind on the commuter series from otterbox...i was expecting some good deals on ebay coz of cyber monday...but to my surprise ebay.in and GEB has no deals on the cases... can u givme the link whaere u bought the leather case from...?

Well...i finally got an htc evo and its been more than a week since i m using it....bought from sadik bhai ...was suggested by Kunwar Sachdev(http://www.rimweb.in/forums/user/24164-kunwar/)...a very very helpful member of this community...was always there to solve the slightest of concern i had against buying this phone...gave me all the insights and features of the phone...thanx bro !! Since now i hv got the phone...u guys who are already using it ...can suggest me some good apps..tweaks for this phone... well i hvnt rooted yet...(i m on android 2.2)...jst a bit anxious if something goes wrong...but if any1 of u here have rooted successfully with no probs..and tested some custom roms let me knw..a link of a proper working method will be appreciated...let me know what all is possible with rooting and benefits/cons to consider And tell me what else i can do with this great device....some nice apps/features available other than on market ..and any sort of customization i js love this phone Pour in ur experiences my dear fellow evo lovers...cheers

its not a cover....there is full body protection though which is in laymen terms like laminating your entire phone (costs around 1800 bucks)...the one i was talking about was only the front screen protection which looks like any other scratch guard

Guys i dont understand 1 thing...why is zagg invisible sheild so expensive...i mean 1k for a scratch guard...is it really worth...u get good scratch guards for at most 300 bucks...what is the big difference in zagg...is it really worth ? and ppl i m looking at buying a case/cover for htc evo..if any1 can let me know..where i can find it in mumbai or if someone out here is selling it ...thanx
