Create a Dos batch file with the following @echo off :10 ping server1 ping server2 ........ ........ add some more servers ....... ....... Goto 10 Run the batch file when ever you connect to Rconnect and minimize the Dos box.. This solved the problem for me...

Cable subscribers will have to pay more from 2005 with the Telecom Regulatory Authority deciding on Wednesday to revise charges upwards by seven per cent in view of high inflation. TRAI, which had put a ceiling on charges with respect to both free-to-air and pay channels till December 26 this year, has now decided to review the ceiling. "On the basis of analysis done by the Authority, the inflation adjustment works out to seven per cent. Accordingly it has decided to issue an amendment order providing for revision in the ceiling to be effective from January 1, 2005," a TRAI release said in New Delhi. The new rates will apply for the payments to be made by the consumers, cable operators, multi-system operators for January 2005.

This is the CDMA variant of GSM 2100. Again this will not be that much popular unless the price is really low.

KOLKATA: Reliance on Wednesday announced a series of investment plans for West Bengal in the infocom sector, including setting up a solution development and service centre over the next three years. "We (Reliance Infocomm) have already invested close to Rs 1,000 crore in the state but I feel this is not enough and we will set up a solution development and service centre here that would give employment to over 2,500 people in the next three years," RIL chairman and managing director Mukesh D Ambani said while inaugurating Infocom-2004 IT seminar organised by the ABP group and Nasscom. The company would also set up the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology in Kolkata, the first of which is already functioning in Gujarat, he said. "This will help generate employment and provide training to the state's talented youth and equip young men and women with knowledge," Ambani said. "It (the Institute) will powerfully propel India to global leadership in today's world of information and knowledge," he said.

The boy "sold the clip" to his batch mates for "Rs 100 each," a "close friend" reveals. The incident had happened a little over a month ago, when two eleventh standard students of DPS RK Puram, a top south Delhi school, had filmed their sex act on the boy's mobile phone "just for kicks". It was only last week that the episode was exposed in newspapers and TV channels across India after the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) of the 2 minutes 37 seconds clip was doing rounds all over the Capital. "They were seeing each other when they shot the film on his mobile phone a month ago," a close friend and classmate of the boy's says. "But the girl broke up with him a few days later. She said the relationship wasn't working out. In anger, he started sending out the clip via MMS and e-mail." Not for free though. "He charged Rs 100 for the clip, in which his face is hardly seen. It's only the girl clearly visible," he says. "He made a lot of money. But it wasn't for the money that he did this obviously. Money was just supposed to be by the way." "He sold the clip to at least 50 of us (batchmates). After that, the others sent it out their friends and so on. Now probably every phone in Delhi and many other parts of the country has the clip," the friend says. As a matter of fact, VCDs of the porn clip are being sold at Palika Bazaar, arguably Delhi's porn den, for a meagre Rs 40. And according to shop owners, it's getting them "great business." Both the students, the girl, daughter of an ex-army man, and the boy, who comes from a wealthy family, were expelled when the MMS, which was fast spreading, reached the Principal of the school.

Thanks Vishal for the explanation... The link for image block was not working... Anyway I got it from the extensions website of mozilla. But there is still a problem with this extension. Instead of blocking the image for just the current tab, it goes and blocks the images globally for all tabs. Thats a problem. In Opera we can selectively block the images for just the tabs we want. Thats one feature i would really like to see on Mozilla also...

Yes this does seem to improve the browsing speed!!!! Can you please explain how the speed is improved by altering the settings as given above. Is there any way we can toggle images on webpages as in Opera with just click of a button.
