It is a strange phenomenon that occurs in Ni-Cd battery. I dunno about Li-ion batts. In No-Cd, the battery starts charging from there where it is left with charge. The first hop is usually (or always?) same for a session. Pinging the same is a bit cumbersome as one needs to Tracert a site and copy the hop address and ping it. Any better option?

I have RD 2030 and an office which is not Air-conditioned When I take my seat and switch the Fan on, the display panel of my Handset shows wavy display. May be due to the Electro-Magnetic Field developed by the coil in the fan. Is it harmful for the handset

I believe there is serious prob with the info on the services provided to the CC/WW ppl by RIL. Who else but the customers like us can understand this pain Pity RIL employees!!!

WW as well as CC guys are equally bad. Only a few WW guys use to provide real facts about RIM services.

Apart from Dish Antenna, every thing is similar. RIL Netway uses Cable>>>>>>SetTopBox>TV/Internet/Phone & DD-Direct uses Dish Antenna>SetTopBox>TV/?/? Who can say ...?

This prob is solved as I've purchased a new Branded Cable as the last cable's connector got broken. After attaching the new cable, I've never experienced this trouble in detecting the phone for over two months! Thanks to all of you for those helpful comments.

Huh! The address mail.yahoo.com pings login.yahoo.akadns.net at 216.109.127.60 at a rate od more than 2000ms and uses quite a good amount of resource. Sometimes it gives "Timeout errors". Pinging messenger.yahoo.akadns.net [66.163.172.116] takes more than 1000ms! Still the best option is Tracert www.google.com find the first hop e.g. [97.237.1.4] PING 97.237.1.4 -t trouble is the first hop keeps changing in each session!
