@csmart It is almost sure that RIL can not roll out LTE/4G before june, 2012. In between Augere & Airtel may get started with LTE - soft launch to offer services to enterprises or total commerical launch. There is no news from Aircel and Tikona. To cut the first mover advantages from others, RIL is creating some buzz via national media like ET & Business-Standard. It helps to create hype over Infotel and these news - all are more or less same come to ET at a regular interval with nothing new stuff. It will help them pre-roll out customer addition, i.e. some people will wait for Infotel even if other BWA players roll out 4G services.

On my mts no I am getting lifetime local calling at 1p/2sec and std calling at 1p/sec lifetime sms pack - daily 100 loc+nat sms for daily rental Re 1. waiting for activation of HSD on my no - then will buy a CDMA Android (preferably for RIMWEB, and best choice is Droid Incredible 2) to use data,sms, voice from MTS !!!!

Exactly! When MTS came with such plans I ask them to change the recharge amounts x.99 to a round figure or provide option to recharge via SMS. They are caring their customers!

@ @mitJ@in I have a peculiar problem from last 2 days. I generally use Reliance RUIM on ZTE AC2766 modem and activate NET50 by sending sms and get Rs 50 usage (which is shown as 50.000 MB) which can be consumed at 60p/min at day and 30p/min at night. But i find the problem as it is: I spend 10 minutes online, and check balance is 44.000 MB. Then I connected again and started downloaded some stuffs over 100 MB and suddenly download stops though net connection was not disconnected, In my area often Reliance EVDO goes silent phase i.e. no data transfer. So I disconnected and check the balance and found my main balance goes 0.640 and NET Balance goes 00.000 MB. I use 10 digit mobile no as username and password. Can you explain what is happening?

it looks only MTS Is serious with its mobile customers as a CDMA player. TTSL stops EVDO activation on new cdma connections, you can only access BREW and WAP. Also there are different packs for BREW/WAP and EVDO, while teethering is available on 1X only. They $uck$ !! Reliance has no good plan except that NET50 one!

I am using Reliance EVDO on modem and never faced virus issues.. Both of the devices are more of less same, as u will not use it. If u are thinking to buy one for yourself buy the ZTE one and if the RUIM slot is blank, unlock it and use any CDMA operator's data services along with Reliance on the data card as usual.

I think the deal of Rcom and RIL has already sealed, and as a 4G partner the towers of Rcom will draw more buy from potential takers like Blackstone. I also do not see the fact that Rcom will sell all stakes in R-Infratel.

Virgin shuts the door for new CDMA customers, so you don't get OMH RUIM to get EVDO. Older RUIMs can support 1x only, which is similar to Tata. ask FreeBSD forum if there is any solution!

A Funny Story of Letsbuy.com My uncle wants to get into Android stream! So I suggest to buy Galaxy Y from letsbuy. I tried to order the phone to be shipped to my address, but anyway currently my address is not serviceable by Letsbuy. So I put his hospital address for delivery, he paid via credit card and it went all well! I got a email from letsbuy that order is placed successfully! It was around 8 pm, 28th Nov. On the 29th morning I got another mail saying - your order has been cancelled. I tweeted @letsbuy with order no and they replied that CC will be in touch. On letsbuy account it was showing order is under processing. That day I do not get any call from letsbuy. In around 8:30 pm of 29th I got a sms and a mail from letsbuy that the phone is shipped with DTDC. On 30th Nov noon I checked the track no with DTDC the phone reached Kolkata. In around 5pm something from DTDC was delivered to my uncle's hospital and the package was received by the MO in charge who is known my uncle. Before the delivery the courier guy called my uncle. Now around 6 pm my uncle got a call from letsbuy, the guy told him the order has been cancelled and he will be refunded. My uncle as usual told him that the phone is already delivered and even if it is not how he can refund money as he paid by Credit card. He told that they will be in touch soon refunding the refund and he strongly told the phone can not be delivered to him as the order has been cancelled. Now I am waiting for the confirmation of the shipment by my uncle who will get the package tomorrow morning from the person received the package.
