5. yeah chance of buying Videocon is more, as it still does not have a foreign telco behind !
6. guys i feel Swan aka Etisalat DB (brand name Cheers) may be sold to RIL. There is high chance of it, after new Telecom policy of 2011 comes out with better M&A policies! Also GSM to LTE upgrade is easier than CDMA to LTE! (I know Verizon did it!)
7. At my place, Aircel EDGE is better than BSNL EDGE and sometimes better than BSNL 3G also, when BSNL 3G is down - it s**ks bigtime!
8. Reliance GSM packages after MNP

If you need 3G badly and want to use on data card, get a Reliance GSM prepaid SIM. It is available damn cheap - Rs 5 to Rs 10 with Rs 90 talktime divided in 3months!
9. I dont think govt will allow Infotel to become a full fledged mobile operator! also COAI will cry loud! For the b*****ds of COAI CDMA players still cant tell EVDO as 3G of CDMA!
10. LTE enabled data cards are already in the market, US operators like Verizon launched two of such devices! With bulk order from Infotel & more mainstreaming of LTE prices will be dropped! Motorola already rolled out LTE smartphones! May be tablet PC will be Infotel's main USP with bundled data plans, but it does not mean they will not launch usb dongles & wireless routers!
11. curently which operators offering wifi ?? BSNL is on the business for a long ime, around 2006-2007. Kolkata got BSNL wifi in Airport & city centre& some hotels! Tata tele is also offering wifi hotspots. and this spectranet/Aircel .......... any body more? also where you are getting free wifi at ur town ?
12. in US & other countries Wifi is free on most of the places! Here wifi comes at Rs 15 with 30MB/hr ! that's ridiculous even if you use it on ur smartphone!!
13. Will MNP Help "The Big 3 Cartel"?

CDMA operators loosing the game coz: 1. lack of good handsets as per cost & features 2. RUIM & OMH thing are not made popular 3. Poor data plans on mobile 4. You can't use same RUIM on mobile and data card! 5. You cant send longer SMS at one go! etc etc
14. Spectranet is a Shyam Grp company. It's same Shyam of Sistema-Shyam i.e. MTS India. Spectranet is a ISP, owned by Shyam grp Aircel Wifi is powered by Spectranet ... I think netwrk is of Spectranet's but branding comes from Aircel. But Aircel WiFI FAQ says: Can I use this in every Spectranet hotspot? No, you can only use this service at an Aircel Spectranet hotspot. These hotspots can be identified by their display name - AIRCEL_SPECTRANET.
15. Reliance GSM 3G Modem Query

the default dashboard comes with E173 certainly does not support call feature, but u can get the generic one from Huawei website! Beetel branded MF190 has call feature, but Reliance branded one does not!
16. Reliance GSM 3G Modem Query

yeah Reliance 3G modems come unlocked, you can use any SIM of GSM operators! Huawei E173 is better than ZTE ones! I am using ZTE MF190 bought as Beetel MF190!
17. Galaxy Pop S5570 Vs Galaxy 5 I5503 Vs Dell Xcd28

yeah Galaxy pop is best phone as entry level android!
18. CDMA iPhone 4 Is Here!

As I have contacted Verizon officials, it is clear that Verizon iPhone does not have RUIM Slot, nor it is locked to Verizon network. Rather all CDMA settings are put on the phone. So if you can edit it, you can also use it in India with Reliance, tata, mts, bsnl, mtnl, ping!

The iPhone 4 on the Verizon Wireless network is a CDMA 1X/EVDO Rev.A: 800/1900MHz. It does not have a RUIM slot for a SIM card and while we don’t typically sub-lock our devices, the phone was designed to work on the Verizon Wireless network. The phone will work in about 40 countries that use CDMA service. Here is a link on our web site so you can see where the device will work: http://b2b.vzw.com/international/technology/cdma.html

Brenda B Raney

19. this phone is actually Huawei Ideos X6 U9000, as reported by Androidos.in !
20. Right now, both Rcom & TTSL is neglecting its CDMA business. These CDMA players have good coverage over all circle, but don't know why they are not betting high on EV-DO. BSNL has more than 600 cities with 3G (UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA). None of these CDMA players have such wide coverage. With lower tariff plans of EVDO they could easily get more ARPU. Even they do not have an aggressive marketing policy for EVDO. CDMA players can do these: (from my article on Telecomtalk) • Make the tariff plans affordable, match with BSNL’s tariff plans. • Opt OMH technology – allow the same RUIM for using on mobile & data card, like GSM. • Do not force the new customer to buy a new device aka EVDO modem, rather re-program the device for some bucks or provide RUIM to use on it (BSNL asks for Rs 350 for activation). For the last point, I talked with Reliance Netconnect+ & Tata Photon+ guys over twitter, but all went vain! They simply asked to buy a new device from them.
21. fact is this plan is not for us, but for our parents or parents of our parents who seldom needs internet.... But it could be 50p/MB! For minimal users 1GB for Rs 250 is best! Speed is also 2Mbps!
22. Google Released Chrome 9
