On my prepaid no, I did not get any sms of closing down. However balance check system (by dialing *225) adds that cdma will stop by 31st may, get 4G sim free from reliance store. Interestingly my Redmi Note 3 + old cdma ruim could not able to register to network since last tuesday and my 4G sim is also inactive till now. Checked with my old Intex dual sim phone, zte ac2766 modem and huawei honor holly2+ - ruim is failed to register to network. And surprisingly ruim was able to latch to network while put on htc desire 510. Voice, text and only 1x data works.

I put my Reliance CDMA RUIM on Redmi Note 3 and it worked. However from yesterday R-CDMA network was down, No Signal or Emergency Calls Only was seen. However as I did not have the 4G SIM with me, I could not check that Kolkata got 4G from RCom or not. Anyway I put the RUIM on my HTC 510, oh man signal is there, and I checked with my old Intex dual SIM phone, 'RUIM failed to registered... ' What's going on RCOM ? When I am back at home, I tested with 4G SIM on RN3, it's definitely not CDMA/4G SIM, the SIM is just named as Reliance 4G.

I am getting texts from MTS daily twice atleast to port out from Reliance CDMA to MTS.

Tata CDMA is working fine in Kolkata.

My reliance no starts with 933xx-xxxxx but here the 10 digit no is seen of actually MTS Tamilnadu

I think the problem is with our RUIM - I am also using RECR UC03 xxxx xxx. My IMEI No. shows all 0 (eight 0). and phone no. showing 8925xxxxxxxx (which is actually MTS Tamilnadu no ) Current network - Reliance. My MTS RUIM is of RET 89910 xxxxx yyyyy zzz and on RN3 MTS network is not seen, rather it shows as 405 89 !!

In Kolkata, R CDMA network turns to be pretty good, after few days of glitches. I used their pre migration 1GB EVDO data and calling goes just smooth. But I can't able to make calls with +91, I need to edit it to 10 digit or 0-10 digit no. Incoming calls are coming as 0091xxxxxxxxxx. However this problem is with R-CDMA only. MTS works fine on my both CDMA handsets - HTC Desire 510 and Redmi Note 3.

One thing is for sure, CDMA will die in India. MTS - will continue til RCOM merges with it. BSNL - winded up in most circles. In my circle, Kolkata no CDMA since March 31. Tata - few voice customers, but still Photon is a big brand in wireless data market. Fate is yet to be decided. RCOM- definitely kill the CDMA in due course of time. Starting of Rcom-Jio spectrum sharing will be the death certificate for RCDMA. I would suggest CDMA handset sellers to sell off their CDMA only handsets as soon as possible, even at a price with zero profit. However CDMA/GSM imported handsets will continue the sale until the 3G becomes obsolete in the shadows of 4G.

Can you share the pic of the mifi device as well as the name of the manufacturer? To all, lyf phones are actually made by which company,?

Funny thing is I am getting messages on my Reliance CDMA prepaid (Kolkata circle) from YV-665665 with invitation to join MTS network!! The texts are very frequent in last 3 days - almost thrice a day!

The best option would be subscribing to a caller tune!

^^^ The +91 issue is with R-CDMA only. I am using MTS and there is no issue with +91 or 0 before 10digit no.

In Kolkata BSNL officially shut down CDMA voice and data since 31st March 2016. So no hope us !!

BSNL has very less EVDO coverage, so for calling it's an option. Rcom's 1GB data as pre migration, seems to be can't be used completely!! Most of the time EVDO shifts to 1x and 4-6hrs/day no signal.

I am a registered user of JioMoney for more than 3 months. Not using LYF or Jio connection! and I never made any transaction on JM. Will I get benefit?

There is no news of TATA CDMA winding down... Let they inform us over texts/calls. Till then enjoy the CDMA of TTSL!!

TATA is a messed up company in telecom, did not launch 3G via ICRA and 2G network works pretty bad in outside of the cities. So people are moved out to 3G operators of their respective circles.

@me_saket The Cdma data issue with RN3 persists with my both ruim - rcdma and mts. The ssue is probably due to blank MEID of RN3(00000000). Keep us notified if data works.

Which circle ? R-CDMA will affect like a hell in coming days, as they are testing 4G keeping just 1 channel for 1x voice, and data is routed through MTS spectrum in those circles MTS is operating.

On my RN3 there is no MEID. Is this the reason I can't use data on both reliance and mts?
