@Vinod: Ur setup sounds cool.. I actually got tangled between the low stock of Marantz PM 6005, which was the first preference! But, Yamaha AS 500 was comparable, and thus, went for it.. The sound is little bright than Marantz and thus, was considering Wharfedale..but Monitor Audio MR4 seems to be a great option too.. I am also looking for a good DAC! I plan to buy bits and pieces and lets see where I land up.. Will keep you posted!

Hardware Purchase Suggestion Requests
theking replied to hiteshkkk1's topic in General Technical Discussion
If the purpose is playing music, I would advice to get a DLNA supported device Further, I think that the recommendation could be based on your budget and the Sony music system that you currently have. Just a preliminary recommendation: NAD DAC 2 A cheaper one could be this: NAD DAC 1 -
Nice, what are you gonna connect it to ?Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk The plan is Wharfedale diamond 121 Looking for a good deal...let know if you have any thoughts. Thanks.

I tried to search the forum, but didn't find a thread and thus, created one. Lossy Music: Lossy compression enables even greater reductions in file size by removing some of the data. Lossy compression typically achieves far greater compression than lossless compression by simplifying the complexities of the data. This of course results in a reduction in audio quality, but a variety of techniques are used, mainly by exploiting psychoacoustics, to remove the data that has least effect on perceived quality. The loss in data (and thus quality) may not always be easily perceived through casual listening. The popular MP3 format is probably the best-known example, but the AAC format found on the iTunes Music Store is also common. Most formats offer a range of degrees of compression, generally measured in bit rate. The lower the rate, the smaller the file and the more significant the quality loss. Flac: FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player just like you would an MP3 file. How To tell between a 'real' FLAC and a 'fake' FLAC: (Not possible with good encoding, except when compared to Original Soundtrack (OST) or CD) (Reason for check: There have been times when the OST is converted to a lossy format and then converted to flac.) Still, some methods to check when you don't have the OST: -Software: Spectro Homepage: http://spectro.enpts.com/ See the attached screenshots, one with flac and other mp3 (320 KBPS). If you see the mp3, it has a cut-off. So, if a flac is made from mp3, it will have the same cut-offs. It's a bit arbitrary and or misleading sometimes at least. -One more way: Lossless Audio Checker: -There have been various other utilities like audiochecker, True Audio Codec Software - Tau Analyzer , etc These programs can only "guess" if the source was lossless by looking at the spectrum and trying to detect artefacts that are inherent to lossy codecs, e.g. a low pass filter.

All I can say is.. U r going nowhere !! Network folder, not worth the try...(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192122) But I am sure...U r going nowhere!
-
But root is not going to solve your problem if your phone does not have internal STORAGE memory.. Except u see that u have OTG support..
-
Does ur phone support OTG??
-
But if your phone does not have internal memory for storage, the above will not work. Since whatsapp cannot change the system folder everytime it receives a message. If ur phone has internal "storage" memory, only then the option 1 or 2 will work...
-
Havent tried, but just a thought: Option 1: Cut and paste ur whatsapp folder to internal memory and see if whatsapp recognizes it Option 2: Make whatsapp as system application and see if 1 works

I agree to prefer Nikon when it comes to repairs. But I somehow feel Canon is the best otherwise. My cousin shoots professionally, he shoots for filmfare, etc. Long back, he advised me 550d and it worked wonders!- 6,376 replies

Try creative x-fi series, it's top notch. Alternatively you can look at cowon too. Both these companies have done well in the pre Android era. Stay away from their Android based products. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2 I somehow still am inclined to Clip+ (Do have a look here...http://www.markuskraus.com/RMAA/clipplus/data.htm) Any ideas how to get it except from amazon.com?- 6,376 replies

Planning to get a good mp3 player, need flac support since most of my music is flac. I narrowed down to Clip+ (by Scandisk). Have good reviews on Head-fi. It supports flac and with rockbox, it also supports mp4. I cannot find it (don't want the refurbished one), except on Amazon.com. Amazon charges heavily for delivery. Any alternatives or can anyone help with discount codes for Amazon.com? Do help. Thanks- 6,376 replies

Guys, any take on Chevrolet Sail??

Wanted a petrol car since my usage is not much... For me, now remains the test drive and the user maintenance comparison between Sunny and City. Verna is a good option, excellent Diesel engine..but I somehow dont have the zeal for Hundai... Thanks for the prompt help..
-
Just a comparison: http://www.carwale.com/comparecars/nissan-sunny-vs-honda-amaze-vs-skoda-rapid-vs-honda-city/?car1=2267&car2=2913&car3=2672&car4=3187

Etios looks a bad option compared to City/Sunny. Dont like the looks! Sunny gives an average maintenance cost of 30K in 5 years (http://www.cardekho.com/nissan-sunny/service-cost.htm) City gives an average maintenance cost of 50K in 6 years (http://www.cardekho.com/honda-city/service-cost.htm) In general, I find Honda (Amaze/City) gives more maintenance. Nissan, not sure, but atleast online reviews says that its better than Honda! Have a Nissan service outlet in my city. Any other opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

Pls suggest: Need a petrol car.. 1. Mahindra Quanto 2. Nissan Sunny 3. Honda Amaze (This has the same engine as new City, right?) 4. Honda City 5. Skoda - Rapid 6-8 Lakhs... Any idea which will be cheapest in maintenance??
