  9. Need Legal Help Regarding Service Bond

Man...As per recognised law, the company cannot recover any dues from u provided u tacke the case well... Just take the benifit of Section 16, read with Section 2(i) of The India Contract Act which stipulates that the contract entered into with undue influence is voidable at your option... (PS:- That is the major reason why u should not particularly care while entering the joining contract ) Section 16:- "Undue influence" defined (1) A contract is said to be induced by "under influence" where the relations subsisting between the parties are such that one of the parties is in a position to dominate the will of the other and uses that position to obtain an unfair advantage over the other. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generally of the foregoing principle, a person is deemed to be in a position to dominate the will of another - (a) where he hold a real or apparent authority over the other, or where he stands in a fiduciary relation to the other; or (B ) where he makes a contract with a person whose mental capacity is temporarily or permanently affected by reason of age, illness, or mental or bodily distress. (3) Where a person who is in a position to dominate the will of another, enters into a contract with him, and the transaction appears, on the face of it or on the evidence adduced, to be unconscionable, the burden of proving that such contract was not induced by undue influence shall be upon the person in a position to dominate the will of the other. Nothing in the sub-section shall affect the provisions of section 111 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 (1 of 1872)
  10. Rang De Basanti.........

Everyone out is trying to make a difference but after some time, things get on to a monotonous mode and then is the time to catch up with the phoenix....regenerate !...untill then, change is abstract... Stuck in a maze, always searching for a way out...its like the fly whom u can c that can come throught the door but is struggling through the closed window!...and still u cant help or rather dont want to, and would prefer to c it struggling and hitting hard...thats the broader perspective i guess..
  11. Mantraway.com issue - off topic

so u finally came to know of that...cool... Whats next that u plan for?...exploiting the legal possibilities?...or reopening the issues out here... I feel that the second option is worth considering
  12. NTPC beats MNCs, pays Rs 8 lakh to its sweepers Sunday, OCTOBER 16, 2005 Press Trust of India New Delhi: Salaries drawn by sweepers, attendants, drivers and helpers working at power giant NTPC can arouse strong envy among students from IIMs and IITs as the packages offered to school dropouts comes very close to what top MNCs might offer B-school graduates. Lal Beni, who perhaps never went to school and works as a sweeper in National Thermal Power Corporation, draws an annual package of Rs 8,68,146. One Safal Ram working as a helper in the company enjoys a handsome package of Rs 8,98,369 per annum, according to the annual report of the Corporation. List does not end here. Raghu Nath Sharma, a school dropout (quit studies after 4th std), enjoys a remuneration of over Rs 6.5 lakh per annum. Prem Singh, could not continue studies after 6th standard, brings home Rs 7,89,821, which is well enough to embarrass a highly educated person. Satbir Singh, a driver who discontinued studies after 8th standard, earns Rs 9,18,941 per annum which is few thousands less than R D Kapoor, Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and holds an MBA degree, and serves as Director in the same company and takes home Rs 10,62383, the report says. After having struggled to acquire MSc and PhD degrees, one D N Roy, Deputy General Manager in the company, could only manage half the salary (Rs 5,21,903) as that of Satbir. A senior driver Rumal Singh earns Rs 5,67,447 which is few thousands more than that of Roy's. Thirty six years of experience and BSc (Engineering) degree could fetch only Rs 8,79,658 per annum for one S S Chakraborty, who serves as Chief Executive Officer in one of the units under the company, the report says. The remuneration offered by the PSU includes salary, allowances, leave encashment, leave travel concession, payment for subsidised leased accommodation, reimbursement of medical expenses to employees and employer's contribution to Provident Fund and other funds. However, it does not include the monetary value of the medical treatment provided in the Company's dispensaries/hospital of Project sites, since it cannot be quantified employee wise. In addition, the employees are entitled to gratuity/ group insurance in accordance with Company's Rules. The company also claims that none of the employees mentioned is related to any directors in the Public Sector Unit.

  17. Rang De Basanti.........

Man...everyone has a role to play and i play mine quite articulatedly...And i still dont expect anyone to do the same nor do i care for that... But less done then said, everyone supports but the startup should b at their end "too"....V have dont our best in the field v r in and dont u expect the same?
  18. Rang De Basanti.........

Yeah...i had read this letter a long time back...before rang de basanti was out...any my conclusion at that time was:- Who says that v r not supportive....dont v drool at the perfect place and comeon, the incidents given here are crapped....does the only thing that matters is that i clean up my dogs **** or that did i complain that my city is not clean....Atleast I never do that.. Dont v guys generate better employment and a better world to live in? and ya...the generation has started to look inside than outside since quite a long time now... What the letter does is also blaming others instead of looking at the corruption and the taciturned politics that play within.....Consider this:- Salary & Govt. Concessions for a Member of Parliament (MP) Monthly Salary : 12,000 Expense for Constitution per month : 10,000 Office expenditure per month : 14,000 Traveling concession (Rs. 8 per km) : 48,000 (For a visit to Delhi & return: 6000 km) Daily BETA during parliament meets : 500 Charge for 1 class (A/C) in train : Free (For any number of times) (All over India) Charge for Business Class in flights : Free for 40 trips / year (With wife or P.A.) Rent for MP hostel at Delhi : Free Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units Local phone call charge : Free up to 1,70,000 calls. TOTAL expense for a MP per year : 32,00,000 TOTAL expense for 5 years : 1,60,00,000 For 534 MPs, the expense for 5 years : 8,54,40,00,000 (nearly 855 cores) And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the largest democratic process in the world, not intruded into the parliament on their own or by any qualification. This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our regular commodities....... Think of the great democracy we have.............

I normally ping 3 sites (yahoo, worldchessnetwork and hotmail/gmail) when i am off, but still when i return, there is no connection! I dont think there's any problem with the lights as it does not make a difference if i snooze them off or on... I use an original nokia cable and a n6235 handset... Any suggestions please?
