  1. so to enable receive calls in EVDO while using DATA it is recommended to change DDTM to off/disabled ? Its not specific to any mobile but general question for all carriers

  3. Why , it works in all . Just move the app to priv-app . If cannot use APN backup restore app then another app to restore it . You have to add the APN without ADD APN menu visible

Made a new RCOM APN in G2 as i had G2 . Any mobile should work . In new APN here on RIM people had said to use MCC and MNC as 404 and 00 due to which the APN was never saving . So I used MCC and MNC as 405 and 51 . Saved the APN and shifted the APN to Volt . Restored the APN using the app and it worked without any tinkering You will have to shift the Apn Backup restore app to Priv App in System
  5. My Volt tested MTS and RIM . Voice and SMS in both work. DATA works in RIM . Haven't tested in MTS . Did not add the apn in NV mode but added the APN through APN backup Restore even when ADD APN tab is not visible in any menu Check pics . I had changed to spr as thought add APN tab might come in spr. DATA in RUIM only works in spr and not with SPR in capital which is default . You will have to add 0 bedore every number to call or Android process system FC will come . i did not face any issue with calls in spr/SPR Uploaded the Reliance APN which I used . It also has 2 Airtel APN , IP4 only and IP4/6 . Delete them if you don't want them Name of Reliance APN is "apn-RIM ip4" EDIT UPDATED ApnBackupRestore.zip

    Solved it For anyone else facing it . Somehow a extra 0 got added before actual IMEI making it 16 digits Removed the extra 0 from IMEI and all was well

    I already had one LS980 so am aware of all ZV8/ZVA/ZVC/LP and other stuff I got another G2 LS980 for using in GSM . I don't want to use it in CDMA RUIM I am facing a very peculiar problem on new G2 LS980 This G2 now only work in Cellone GSM . In all other GSM carriers , I tested Reliance and Airtel it shows signal correctly ,including 2G and 3G separately and DATA works in 2G and 3G but no calls or SMS . I have tested from TOT to ZV8 TOT to ZVC ROMS ZVD , CloudyG3 2.0 , CloudyG3 2.1 , Affliction ROM , LP ROMS - AICP , Plain Andy . The error in all others GSM SIM except Cellone is " restricted access changed " . It changes as per ROMs like " OUT OF SERVICE " but in all DATA works and no calls and SMS with correct signal . I would have felt that G2/PC/files/ROM might have issue but all these things are same for old G2 where all these GSM SIM work fine . I have not flashed any patched radio . I have TOTed it 6/7 times now from ZV8 to ZVC but still issue persists . BUT CELLONE CALLS/SMS/DATA all work fine . Check screenshot . This issue is driving me nuts . Any pointers will be greatly appreciated

  10. That was to disable activation . In some devices it doesn't allow to proceed ahead to root/disable activation till you activate it so .. Then of course we could chat with Sprint international helpline and get the SPC . Many have done this Ah ok. Do you know which all phones need to be activated to remove the activation popup? If so wouldn't we need need to do it from the US itself? Activation wouldn't work from India right? Anyway I think the Ting method seems easier, you get the device activated and the SPC in a min or less, only thing is you need a payment method added, but you can always use a VCC, they won't charge anything upfront. not sure but volt/tribute/HTC 510 . It was in one of these SD thread in wiki

  12. @varkey @Sandeep Tammu For activation of sprint devices you could also use https://myaccount.prepaid.sprint.com/activate/contactInfo.jsp Its free and gives a prepaid 90 days actual mobile number . Just close it when it takes to payment page Read it on SD where everyone is using to activate Sprint devices free of cost Haven't gone through the actual procedure and presume would require social security number

    I said that if you update using the .tot file method, you'll return to bone stock ZVC, thereby loosing unlock and the GSM unlocking method is not confirmed in that case. It was mentioned by none other than the creator of GSM unlock method himself in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51580613&postcount=298 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51581360&postcount=300 However, since rooting is possible for ZVC, whether pushing the property folder in a bone stock rooted ZVC device makes it unlocked for GSM or not remains to be tested as of now. There is a clean GSM unlock for those who who have used the ZVC.tot & this works for those who have received KK4.4.2 via OTA. Will post a tutorial soon. If its a bad ESN it won't work in US as all Operators will be notified.Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk Ok so I flashed ZVC .tot & followed the GSM unlock method, pushed carrier folder that's it. GSM is working but whenever I end a call I am getting "com.android.phone" process has stopped working msg. This is I am getting after ending any call, also due to this call logs are not getting saved. What should I do ? As per Vinod Sir, there is a clean GSM unlock method for bone ZVC ? Please help. I guess last option is to flash back .ZV8 then follow traditional unlock method & take OTA till ZVE !!! change ro.carrier=spr ro.build.target_operator=spr persist.service.crash.enable=1 as per @vinod Nayak post .     haven't really checked . But doesn't heat up as it was heating up before , i felt . This heat temperature throttle is what all ROM makers are also applying . Might not be with trickster mod but all are using it . Can u plz use this app and tell me the max temp you are getting?, Install the app, goto settings and turn on the overlay option so that temp reading is always visible on top bar 35 C idle 40 Cnormal usage 55/60 C normal gaming 65 C is maximum I have seen in continuous gaming I have a Diztronic case on it

    1 - comes up when you flash G3 port and come back . G3 ports or ZVD and going back to ZVC is giving issues . Most people who would have reported would be stock . 2 - comes up when temperature throttle is not switched on in stock . You can do any heavy gaming just this temperature throttle needs to be on or heat spoils the screen how to put temp throttle? using cpu profiles? Trickster Mod check pic

    But stock recovery is required ? I have TWRPYes..Stock recovery needed,twrp bootloops exactly , doing tot is the only method to get ZVD if not stock recovery
