  1. ^^^ RCom is coming up with HSUPA - 14mbps 3G on GSM Network on 2100 Mhz. 2100 Mhz means more BTS; every KM there will be a BTS that too of 2100 MHz, and 2100 MHz can hold many users at a time. Average people will get 1mbps, even if 50-60 users are connected to same BTS. You cant dream of actual 3G GSM with current CDMA EVDO which is at 800MHz.
  2. Will all person use 1mbps full bandwidth all the time?? Someone might be surfing, some might be idle, some might be uploading, some might be downlaoding. If a person is getting around 1Mbps it nearly means that approx of 15-20 people are connected to BTS.
  3. @ Kshah Ji, If you are getting around 1mbps on EVDO Rev.A, it is good speed, Yes. No man can get 3.1mbps DL and 1.8mpbs UL at anytime. A single EVDO BTS have 3 Sector on single PN - Alpha, Beta and Gamma. and a BTS is capable of upto 3.1mbps DL and 1.8 mpbs UL for Single Sector RF. So there are many people connected over the Same Sector of PN -BTS. Hence you get the speed divided among all subscriber. 3.1mbps is Bandwidth of BTS which will be divided for sure. @ Kshah Ji, I remember the days before 21 March 2009. EVDO was launched commercially in India on 21 March 2009 by Reliance; and I had got the test device in Jan last and I used to use it. That time I used to get 3.1mbps full speed on good websites. Reason, I was only the person latched to BTS on which there were no other connected.

BlackBerry with 1x also die in same time, but yes BlackBerry Tour and Flip on EVDO and BB GSM GRPS-EDGE have good backup. @ Muff - EVDO Consume less battery than 1x ? Is this the reason battery of Tour and Flip is good ?
  10. Sprint Htc Hero - The Latest Android Kid On The Block

Kshah Ji, I Cant use my primary number on this phone reason behind, I dont want to miss a single call, As on Always ON Data, My calls get missed, this is the biggest challange in imported sets. Hence, I Activated a new number for this phone to use for DATA Purpose only, Only Email, IMs and Browsing. Second idea was to use Primary Number with Always Data ON on Hero and divert all calls to another Reliance number (R2R Free Scheme in my phone) to get all calls without any issues, but later on found my BlackBerry comfortable to use for Calling SMSing purpose.
  11. Sprint Htc Hero - The Latest Android Kid On The Block

I have used my Hero on Sprint 2.1 RUU since starting, and I have not found any Lag, Speed Issue, Data Issue till now. All things are working perfectly fine. BTW - My Contact are zero 0; reason I am using this phone with a new number which is activated to be used on Data Only, No Calling No SMS, Nothing. But I am really dis appointed with the battery life, after charging it full, it take hardly 10 hours to completely drain the battery on DATA ON.

  15. BSNL WiMAX Review

Speeds will get lower with passage of time like EVDO. Lesser the number of user on a BTS higher the bandwidth.

  19. Many stores keep closing and new keep coming, same is with RCom also, I see a lots of Stores get closed and New gets opened, Survival of store depends upon the profitablity (In terms of nos of sales volume) from the particular location in fact. Company shut down there store when they find a low sales from there store.
