I have bought 10 Crossover cables till now... All have problem. What should I do?

I tried all this..but no success. When I plugged in a Crossover cable to both PCs, Then The Lan gets connected at 1 Gbps, then gets disconnected at very next second, then again gets connected and then again gets disconnected.. This problem is in both PCs. Can anyone tell me what is the problem?

Do I need to enter any IP, Gateway, DNS or Obtain Automatically? I have tried with Obtain Automatically, But whenever I plug the crossover cable to both PCs, My LAN on both computer get connected then get disconnected in next second then again get connected. What is this problem? I have already checked cable, Tried 5-6 cables but all in vain.
