There is no need to install drivers for Charging your phone.. Windows or any other OS has nothing to do with the Charging as USB provide 5Volts 500 mA and you get your handset Charged. You may do one thing..Cut your Data Cable and disconnect or cut two cables which are for RX TX other two are + and - which will help you only to charge. So that OS wont detect your phone.

Yeah..Reliance is not going to give ROMs and all.. As they never give support for UTStarcom PPC 6700 so how can we hope for these HTC Models.. Reliance dun care for such support to consumer, as they are also not aware of these updates which may be required by PPC users.
