I have also expirienced the same that 3G/1x data doesn't works on CM based roms(Cm7,Cm9 and MIUI) One more thing I found was accessing PHONE UTIL (*#*#8778#*#*) , both UART And USB are set to PDA by default and even if you try to change it , it will revert back. Also accessing DEBUG SCREEN (*#*#33284#*#*) and entering MSL , it throws Modem error. SO I think radio settings get screwed in CM based roms. I have posted same issue on XDA , but they don't have any answers. Can any devs here help ? I really adore ICS experience on Cm9 , but without data working its no good. had to revert back to EL30 based rom.

Hi All, I have tried both Official CM7 RC0 and MIUI rooms which are MTD partition based. Apart from the fact that they look and feel awesome and have tons of customizable feature, i'd like to mention more important think ... 3g data (EVDO) doesn't seem to work on these roms. I have tried changing Mobile network option but I'm not able to use mobile data. 3g icon comes and goes every 30 secs or so. So if anyone is thinking of trying out these roms, i'd advise they try to find solution to this problem beforehand. Apart from that I'm extensively involved in testing OC/UV of various ROMS and KERNELS released on XDA and as per my experience RandomKings Thunderhawk 3.3 is best ext4 based rom while Toadlife's CleanGB rom is best RFS based rom.For kernel's i'd advise both samurai's and shadow kernels. Hi All Respected gurus , I need your help asap. I'm Dev from Pune ,proud owner of Epic 4g . I purchased my epic through Ebay from Parin Bhai. Actually with the help of Hari S mahesh , extremely helpful guy from this forum , i tried to do radio reset as I was facing the problem on phone restart due to continous radio reset. I followed these steps 1. Odin back to DL18 with radio reset to Sprint. 2. load Reliance HSD local 1005 prl file. 3. load NV item (ppp.txt) dump file for netconnect. 4. load backup NAM file back. After following these steps carefully the problem of radio reset is gone but I'm facing even bigger issue. My calls are getting dropped within 10 sec , while both receiving and sending. Please advice me what to do now .. Thanks Dev

HI GURUS , Out of curiosity i tried few things and now facing constant restart problem on my epic. First I followed the steps to have Rworld working internet on my phone. Unfortunately before i could find any plans for the same I started facing phone restart problem as the mobile network fades. I'm currently on EC05 and using Syndicate rom v1.2. So as suggested I found that the problem shouldn't happen on EC05, but yet I'm still facing the problem. Please do help. Also I don't even know if my rworld internet plans is working ,as I couldn't get a plan activated .I can access internet though , but its without any plan. My internet was working earlier also , but I did this to get cheaper plans given by Rworld. Please someone also advice me how to active a good rworld mobile internet plan on my phone too. Eagerly waiting for the reply.Please also give me an estimate about how it will cost me to have EVDO activated on my phone. I'm from Pune btw. Thanks Dev

hey thnx for the suggession .. today i called customer care . they first sent me the settings for netconnect but they din't worked. later they gave APN settings to enter manually , but yet i can only browse through my main balance only. i request you all guys who use epic 4g to give to some suggessions about what data plan to use and methods to configure it. i'm a medium user . i have wifi connection @ home . just need plan for browsing and checking mails when not home, one more question //.. can we use MNP to port to rel gsm on epic 4g .. or on tata CDMA.. i'm finding rel CDMA very annoying ... thanx in advance dev

hi all , i am a new proud and happy owner of epic 4g .. i also had internet connectivity enabled by defalt as the no was activated/// but i have a different problem . i just recharged my cell with RC of rs 99/- which is for unlimited browsing for 30 days.. but as i use the internet usage is deducted from my balance as 10paisa/10kb. please help me with the settings . thanx

hi all !!! I'm a newbie here and have very little knowledge of RCDMA service altough i use RGSM. I'm looking forward to buy Epic 4g fro hitesh hambarde with RCDMA as i really loved the phone specs and reviews. But i have a few queries : 1> Is RCDMA service so bad that many subsribers are dumping it using MNP. Also Is it possible to use MNP to get any GSM operator for this phone if anything goes south. 2> Is there any performance or connectivity issues with this phone using RCDMA, especially using internet. Please provide me any advice you have about this deal as i'm going fr it in next week. thank you dev
