Even after hours, gps was not locking. After trying literally everything. After the update it is a matter of seconds outside my home. Battery. I believe it is definitely worse than last ics. At least with me. With Evdo on Nd every other thing off including sync my battery goes from 100 to 5 in a matter of hardly 4.5-5 hours. Screen on time would be 1-1.5 hours.

Thnx for the help amit ji. I already located the post. But after trying the method the fon din restart. After manually restarting also there was no gps fix attainable on my fon.

Tried it. Four to five times. Fon din restart. So manually restarted. But no development.

Weneva I used use gps until now on this handset with Evdo on I always got innacurate location. Hardly a month since I bought s2 cdma. Just checked. The gps does not lock. Even for hours.!!!! Tried gps test app. Tried clearing and updating AGPS but no luck. Without this Google maps is of no use. I Googled. It's a common problem. If anyone could throw some light shall be grateful. Thnx

Tried prefixer. With ur settings. It shows prefixer is on but still does not edit the numbers when call actually comes. It still shows 0091. Thnx for the response though.

May i also request to kindly upload the apk for "ncarry". It is not downloadable via unrooted imported phones. Coz even market enabler works only on rooted phones as far as i know. Thnx

No no. Actually all numbers are stored in my address book with 0 prefix only. So prefixer would change it to something other than 0. May be 0091 or +91 but the problem is that I myself dunno which number would show up with prefix 0091 when call comes. So I don't know which number to prefix with 0091 and which not to. However I will try prefixing them with what u have suggested and will let u know. Thnx

Hi friends, needed some valuable help m using s2 e4gt on reliance. what i have been observing is that sometimes when i receice calls, it shows"0091" in the beginning and then the 10 digit number. And sometimes it does not show 0091 .Instead shows only "0" and then the 10-digit number. Resultantly, whenever "0091" is prefixed, the contact name does not display. Any help or suggestion shall be highly welcome Thnx..

Not to discourage anyone, but from my personal and quite a few acquaintance's experiences, i feel the main differentiating factor between these indian grown brands like Micromax, Spice, Karbonn, etc. is there After Sales Service... I mean in these days the hardware is very transparent...and so is the OS(Android).. So the difference lies in the accessories, build quality and after sales service.. Once the handset goes to the service centre, it is a hell job calling and following up each day... The staff is highly uneducated...and spare parts are never readily available... So just hope ur handset does not go bad at all..coz once it has to visit the service centre, keep ur fingers crossed...

Yeah possible. Dunno..... Anyways just found out that epic touch 4G has a whooping ten point capacitive touch screen compared to a measly 4 point on the evo 3D. Dunno what is the benefit. But I personally liked the touch feel of HTC more!!!!! Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

Was wondering if the phone supports usb OTG function... coz it has "Pointer/Mouse speed" in Settings>Language & Input>Mouse/Trackpad>Pointer speed I tried with a pendrive with a USB OTG cable that worked on Galaxy note And S2 Gsm version.. However it did not support pendrive OTG function on my d710... i did not try with a mouse though... If someone can throw some light.... Thnx

a glitch if i may say, i have been experiencing off late in Whatsapp... sometimes, the notification light does not blink nor does the fon vibrate even wen there is a new message. Also, if i have typed something and sent a message, that message still remains in the typing box instead of vanisg=hing after the message is sent.. dunno if it is a common problem due to the latest update from whatsapp.. @theking: not a bad idea...but frankly never found any major shortcoming wid whasapp that would make me look for other IM...will try in future if need be:)

@Arun: i searched for the market enabler app but it is nowhere to be found on google play.. have an evo3d foreign handset, even when i try to download indian apps like NGPAY, it says this app cannot be downloaded on ur fon (not for my region).. If u cud help..thanx..
