vijaybhai, in order to revert to stock u need to go back to froyo for s-on. Flash froyo. After that u need to manually push the bootloader into the file by using unroot & vivow package zips. u can easily find the files & procedure on internet. i have all those files with me at home. let me know if u need any help in finding files. can help u. -

VIjaybhai, to have this OTA u need to go to froyo-->GB-->then flash chinese rom and after that the OTA files(because there is some scripting in the lastest OTA which id not compatible with S-off). but it will be advised to stay away till devs try and modify the rom for s-off. Also the rom mentioned above is for vivo aka IncS, so not sure if it will work. U may try to flash GB via bootloader to roll back to old configuration. -

Does Quad-Core Really Makes a Difference in Mobile Computing?
kundalus posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
Hi! As we all know that a blitz of quad-core processor powered mobile phones were recently announced in this years MWC. I have a question in mind. Does a quad-core processor really makes a difference in the way we consume media/mobile applications? Currently I'm using a Motorola Photon which has a dual-core proccy and is capable enough to play 1080p movies with ease. Also, i actually dint find any great difference in a single core processor and a dual core processor apart from playing HD videos & slightly better multi-tasking. But how much difference will a quad core processor make in a day to day life apart from playing some high-end games with 3D graphics (or will it actually make a difference). The other question is.... What will enhance a usability of a Mobile device? Increasing hardware or creating a software which is more interactive even in a single core processor with better functionality & user interface? -
I did my first online purchase from letsbuy and its service was awesome. Though i have never purchased anything from flipkart but from what i had read in various magazines they are pretty strong with their own delivery network across selected cities & towns. The founders of flipkart(ex-Amazon) are pretty good in creating their own format from which is broadly based on Amazon's. But the pricing was one of the most competitively priced store. Will surely miss the neat and very precise format of letsbuy. I wonder if it was a good strategy by flipkart to bite the competition and kill them like this. Will this ever help the ecommerce market in India & will we ever see letsbuy's pricing and competitive edge into flipkart????

first, i think factory reset should solve ur issue. u need to flash froyo first, u will need froyo ruu, adb package & vivow package. then downgrade the bootloader by pushing through adb. Then flash GB 2.3.3 in bootloader. Once u r in 2.3.3 u can root viz revolutionary. I dont know if XTC supports froyo (if it does, no need for GB) or not but to root your phone again u need to get on 2.3.3. cant find all links to help u. may b u can google it. I will post it once i fine the required links.

kundalus replied to KapilAgrawal's topic in HTC
I figured it out kapilbhai. There was a prob with script. The apk folder was not unzipped, so I unzipped it n kept the apk folder in sd root. So after running the remove script 2-3 times I got it working. Great work kapilbhai. Thnx a ton for this superb work. Sent from my Milestone using Tapatalk -

U can flash Rom from cwm recovery but first take a backup of everything from recovery that us if in case the Rom dint work u can restore and move back to ur previous Rom. But before flashing any Rom try to read if it supports gsm n also bugs if any. Don't flash any photon Rom without any info on features n bugs. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk -

Tutorial: How To Install Custom Recovery For Motorola Photon
kundalus replied to mujeebrehman's topic in Motorola
Follow one click rooting method from xda to root photon. It's best and u don't need to copy on phone n use root explorer. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk -
Hi! Just updated my motorola photon this morning with some .6 en us update and to my surprise the wifi showed error every time i started it. There is solution to it and it really works. Seems the update is related to wifi hotspot and it blocks the wifi for some reason. To solve this issue, go to wifi hotspot menu and create a hotspot once over your GSM data (not sure if its true for CDMA also, someone using cdma facing this problem can assist). now go back and start your wifi. its solved and it will work like before. Hope this will help to all fellow rimwebians.... Thnx

How Fast Does Your Smartphone Boot?
kundalus replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in General Technical Discussion
Photon is a powerhouse....a phone packed with awesome specs and a very good sturdy body. but unfortunately its takes a very long time to boot. I have used, Motorola milestone which has a boot time of around 50-60 seconds. Spica had boot time of around 1 min, HTC incredible 2 has a boot time of 30-40 secs, HTC legend has a boot time of 50-60 secs, HTC evo design has a boot time of around 40-50 secs & Photon on custom ROM CM 7 has a boot time of around 20-25 secs. All custom ROMs are pretty fast in boot. Photon takes so long because it tries to search for sprint activation whenever it starts. -
Does Quad-Core Really Makes a Difference in Mobile Computing?
kundalus replied to kundalus's topic in General Technical Discussion
This is real deal. How will companies earn their mullah? @Vandan, Thats exactly what i'm trying to say. If hardware changes so fast that a two month old phone gets outdated with its hardware and half baked os, this, doesnt make sense. Coz in android the hardware change is so often and os is so unstable that manufacturers use it to hook customers on new products. OS needs to be stabilized. Otherwise having a Ferrari or Lambo without basic necessities in it is of no use. @ashokb if the companies will only aim at earning out of it then i doubt that users will stick to them for long. Look at symbian and iOS. People using them stick on it for so long. coz of its basic functionality and a stable OS, which is easy to use and doesnt get outdated so fast. I'm not against android, its far better than other Mobile OS but it has to be more stable and just adding extra cores will only sell to the desired ones but it wont be used to its maximum possible level -

Does Quad-Core Really Makes a Difference in Mobile Computing?
kundalus replied to kundalus's topic in General Technical Discussion
@ashokbhai, precisely, that's what i want to say. You are pretty satisfied in one single core & one dual core phone. It gives ample amount of power to use all the applications. Today almost all the applications can be integrated with a smartphone and its even more interactive. In that case how much difference will a quad-core make in your daily usage. At the end its just an additional core which assists your day to day application usage. With not integration between hardware and software, and all custom roms on its way for almost all android phones, we just see more of experimentation than enriching our user experiences(there may a second thought for having custom roms). @Deepakbhai, windows 8 can optimize quad-cores but usage of a PC can not be compared with a phone. Pc has far better multitasking and it has its own pros and cons. But the reason to have a better hardware/mobile device is also to have a better user friendliness and functionality. Which at times even the open source android lacks. I see lot of ppl having issue with sudden reboot & heating in android but in my experience with iphone for about 4-6 months i never saw such and issue. Also even windows 7.5 is pretty smooth and easy. With never ending hardware upgrades & need of a far better software and hardware integration, what difference will a quad-core make and that too when we still dont have a proper Android OS optimized for dual core phones? -

Does Quad-Core Really Makes a Difference in Mobile Computing?
kundalus replied to kundalus's topic in General Technical Discussion
I think creating a super smart phone is not the only way. Creating a very close integration between the hardware and software is the right way. Htc does it by Sense. Though many may not like it but an integration like blur or sense or even touchwiz is very important when it comes to user interface. A quad-core may b the ultimate phone but how much difference will it actually make. Adding more cores will not multiply the performance but will enhance the output by a few percentage points. Certainly in that sense a better integration with hardware and software will certainly win. It might not be a right thing to compare iphones but with a single core cpu, iphone 4 was a better performer fit same apps and games if we.compare it with android. Another issue here is with more cores, the phone will only become a powerhouse with more power consumption every second of usage. In that case will a super smartphone with quad-core processors really enrich the usage? Atrix can be a right example. It was dubbed to b the first dual core processor powered phone but it did not live upto the hype. And over the period, all the manufacturers have started looking at integrating the software. one more possible reason would be they see a brighter future in integration.
