What are the drawabacks of cm9 ics rom from xda ([sELFKANG ICS AOSP ROM] CM9/ICS for Droid 3 -- [bETA 2012-02-27) i got this rom but the cons are What is NOT working in this build: Need Better Camera: FFC, ICS features No Camera Video HW Video Codecs (in progress) Bluetooth on but not connected = loss of all audio (in progress) can you throw some light is video recording not working with ics cm9 rom as i love the hd video recording with droid 3 its best of what i have used by the way the chinese rom is better then the original stock verizon rom rooted the xt883 rom with http://www.mod2xtreme.com/showthread.php?t=11868 and now its running flawlessly. I am really looking forward to flash cm9 ics rom if video recording works.

Flashed the rom and its working flawlessly the downloading part was little tricky from gokuai.com other than that pretty neat process and loving my droid 3 even more with this rom +1 kapil bhai good find just bought the phone to test this and its worth every singel penny spent on it.

Ok parin bhai has already given the solution didnt check the video before posting but i gues your msl should be 000000 try that

dial ##data# go to edit enter your msl which must be 000000 if u have purchased from the forum go to others tab and change the R.T.S.P proxy addres and R.T.S.P port to 0.0.0.0 and 0 respectively and same to http proxy address and port your youtube will work like a charm with the data networks though your youtube will always work fine when you try connecting with wifi even without this settings.

Using whats app on wifi tab or on other mobile having different no. We all have been using whatsapp and know about it as blackberry messenger killer because of its cross platform compatibility. This workaround is for people who want to use whatsapp application on secondary phone with data plan but with primary number( as it must be with all the friends) or on wifi tablets example-your primary phone no is 9830098300 and is popular and all your contacts know that number of yours so when you install whats app on this number your contacts using whatsapp application will come to know that you are on whats app but what happens when you are using two numbers say reliance cdma with evdo or wifi tablet which has cheap data connectivity on it and where you data connection is on all the time so its better to install whatsapp on that phone but has different number. Method 1 Install whatsapp application on any android phone which is your primary phone and every body knows that no and complete the sms verification and get your contact list. then root your android phone install titanium backup and backup the whatsapp application now take the backup on the device you want whatsapp to work and restore it there uninstall it from previous device or messages will come that you have whatsapp installed in multiple device. Now you have working whats app on the device with your primary or popular phone number Method 2 Install whats app on the phone in which you want to use it now when it ask's for phone number provide your primary phone number then it will try to verify by sending a message which should come on your primary phone as soon as you receive it forward it to the phone where the installation is going on and your sms verification is complete provide a name and you are good for using it. P.S this method wont work for wifi tablets but you can try with bluetooth message sending applications Note- If you have changed your build.prop or modified it in root /system then method 2 will fail

Battery life is good only it gives me 1 and a half day and yes ussd code is working fine with this And thanks for the correction its s 4.0qhd screen. Earpiece volume seems fine to me its at par with other htc phones.

Are you sure you are on gsm mode and not global mode or automatic And in select network you have selected gsm only

Photon is a clear winner be it ram processor memory or looks it rocks and music with good quality headphones is awesome try both the pones with same headphone and you will understand the difference.

rtsp and httpd address need to be changed to 0.0.0.0 otherwise youtube wont work on evdo although it will work in wifi and this is the only solution for any sprint phones as rtsp is the streaming port and no other streaming softwware or websites will stream without changing the settings.
