I need one 2amp(minimum output) charger for my touchpad, it is urgent, I see some cheap chargers in ebay but most of them are 1amp(output), I want to try a cheap 2amp charger first as touchpad has tendency of not accepting many third party chargers, It's urgent for me, as my TP is completely out of charge & doesn't charge through Computer USB 2.0 ports Can any one suggest me one?

Why there is no option to insert the link by hiding it behind a small text like a word or sentence or whatever it is, what i mean is that suppose i've to post a link to an item in ebay, rather than displaying the actual link to the item in the post i want to display it as just 'ebay.com'. it's a bit harsh on him i think, starting from before last VB series(2008) in australia upto 2011 world cup, he was very prolific scorer for India, he won both vb series(2008) finals for India by making consecutive centuries. His bad form can be attributed to the hype that is created by media around him on 100th century. Infact sachin himself said in an mid-innings break talk with ramiz raja during today's match that "I was not thinking about the milestone, the media started all this, wherever I went, the restaurant, room service, everyone was talking about the 100th hundred. Nobody talked about my 99 hundreds. It became mentally tough for me because nobody talked about my 99 hundreds". Our fast bowlers are to be blamed for this, It would have been nice had we won the match hence making this day more memorable to sachin & all Indians. I feel for sachin loosing a match on his 100 th century match that too against weak opposition like sachin.

is the import duty on mobiles or mobile parts that abolished in the new budget?, as I read in rediff news "The custom duty of LCD and LED panels has been exempted. In addition, the mobile phone parts are exempted from basic customs duty, which is expected to bring down the price of mobile phones". So if we go by that line, the new budget doesn't make any difference for us who imports mobiles through sns, right?, may be mobile accessories are exempted?

thanks for ur input, then it's a good news b'cause we can use some US imported handsets, I've a small doubt, suppose if we imported a verizon 4G handset(CDMA) & can it be used for only data purpose on any GSM service provider in India offered 4G on 700Mhz(in case the handset is only CDMA) or if the imported handset is global phone we can use with any GSM who offer 4G on 700Mhz, right?.

And recently there was EGoM(Empowered Group of Ministers) meeting on the issue of government agencies which hold 700Mhz band, the outcome was that they decided to release the 700Mhz band from government agencies to general public for data(4G) purpose. And after the meeting Kapil Sibal announced this 700Mhz band will be put to auction by the end of this year. We have to wait & see if the service providers in India use LTE-FDD Technology (US type) or TD-LTE technology once they get 700Mhz spectrum. One more interesting thing that came out of that meeting is that the release of 1700Mhz to 2000Mhz spectrum, which is held by Defence & for which DoT is asking to allocate that spectrum to it, especially in Urban areas, as 3G,4G services can be served using that spectrum. Accoding to Kapil Sibal, this issue regarding 1700-2000Mhz spectrum is in final stages to be resolved. As RIL is already planning to roll out 4G services on 2500Mhz band, it's interesting to see which service providers are interested in the aution of 700Mhz auction(& other bands). As the title reads I'm looking for a new mobile for myself, after going through few reviews about few mobiles which fall in my budget, I finalised on two mobiles 1) Motorola Photon 4G & 2) Motorola Droid 3 Global, need some suggestion from the people who have used these two phones so that I can decide on one. Presently I'm more inclined on Photon b'cause of it's performance, bright display & 1GB RAM. The only three things that made me consider Droid 3 Global are it's Keyboard, PowerVRSGX540 Graphics(which is very powerful) & its camera which motorola claims that it can shoot 1080p videos @30fps. And I'm looking for the answers to the following questions. 1) Which Screen is Better?, I read Photon has very bright display but uses pentile matrix, what about Droid 3 Global 2) which is better for listening music with ear phones. 3) Which has overall better usability in terms of signal strength, call dropping etc Also pls add any particular pros & cons that u found on both phones.

Thanks for ur replies. do u mean pixels are much more discernable on a LCD SCREEN than on AMOLED(which has also pentile screen)?, How bad the pentile screen effect would be on a normal user?, I've little bit of experience with epic 4g, which has SAMOLED with pentile technology, I did notice some pixelisation while playing some HD Videos, doesn't the qHD screen in photon 4g help reduce the pentile screen problem as it packed with more pixels?

@Shadow & @ Silver1, The board u r talking doesn't have 1GB inbuilt memory rather it has ATI Radeon 4250 with maximum 1GB shared memory, which is completely different from graphics having it's own memory, shared memory means it shares physical memory(Ram) & this M.B graphics can get maximum 1GB share from physical memory, so that Mother board is just like any normal MotherBoard with onboard graphics, even latest Intel Core I series processors support upto 1.5 GB shared memory & that too on-die(process die) graphics which certainly speed up the graphics processing compared to onboard graphics. @shadow, since u r looking for future proof system for atleast another 2-3 years, I suggest u to luk for Motherboards which onboard USB 3.0 & Sata 6Gbps ports.

I should have told them it is gift then(may be a valentines day gift), b'cause the TP which I got now was purchased back in september 2011 from onsale.com, so now it was shipped to me(NY sns Hub) by my distant friend in NJ. To add to the discussion I called Karan Asrani(SNS India Operations), he too agreed with me that items assessed by customs for under Rs.10000/- should have been cleared without any duty fee, but he stressed that they can't do anything other than submitting the given invoice & getting the item evaluated for the given invoice value, which they did actually in my case, then it's up to the customs official discretion to charge custom duty or not. Unfortunately I got charged Rs.1455/- custom duty on an item that is evaluated as Rs.9250/- by the f**king dumb a** custom officials

whoa! thats rediculous having to pay almost the value of the item as shipping + duty fee, my shipment was charged Rs.1355 as Custom fee which is 14.5% of Rs.9250(customs assessed value of TP) + Rs.100 Broker fee, in second page of this thread we can read that smnrock got his single TP with out any duty & he referes someone who got even 32 GB with out any duty fee, this is what baffling to me why some one gets charged in a different way to other for the same amount(in this case both are under Rs.10000/- value) btw thanks arun for ur reply,

They charged me Rs.1455/- as custom fee for the HP Touchpad that is valued Rs.9200/-(this is not the value that I send in Invoice, this is the customs assessed value that I saw on the customs paper in person in their Hyd Office), adding to that another Rs.1700/- for shipping. What is baffling to me that they charged customs for an item that is assessed by Customs under Rs.10000/-, May be some experienced members can shed some light on this & clarify whether the items assessed by customs for under Rs.1000/- extract any custom duty fee And I've forwarded the original invoice of $150 to karan before my shipment reached their NY office, & he told me(on telephonic conversation with him) that this will be valued for $150 only.
