I think the one u bought is different from the one is on sale @onsale.com according to the ebay link u provided, the one u bought is having Cortex A10 processor whereas the one @onsale.com is having cortex A8 processor, if u notice the onsale.com product link that I quoted in my previous post u can see that it is a skytex one, any way it's seems to be a good deal b'cause of the processor(Cortex A8) & the GPU(MALI 400).

OnSale.com is selling a 7" Tablet for $139 including shipping(to US address), the specs are quite good 1.2ghz cortex-8 Processor, Mali400 GPU, microSD slot, HDMI out, a 5-touch capactive screen(LCD), these are some very good specs certainly not a chinese crap, there is no mentioning of RAM but I think it will have atleast a 512mb RAM considering the remaining specs. AND MORE OVER IT WILL BE UPDATED TO ANDROID 4.0 BY THE END OF THIS MONTH(right now ships with Android 2.3), seems to be a good deal. The sale ends Expires 2/17/12 11:59 PM PST.   4. Dear Rimwebians, Please suggest me a good Screen Protector as well as a good case for my HP TP. Looking for Screen Protectors with the following qualities: 1)Good Quality, 2)Display should be clear after applying, no yellow effect or any that sort of, 3) anti-glare & anti finger print, and which doest not reduce the touch sensitivity. Budget max Rs.500/-, In my search I've found one from Amzer for IPad2 which can be used for HP TP, http://www.indiaplaz...012amz02-10.htm ,if any body used that pls share ur opinions, or else suggest any other u know with the above qualities I mentioned.   6. ^^ Ok, thanks for the information, my 32GB TP was shown as 4.10 lbs in the UPS tracking details, I'm sure it won't be different than 16GB, how much did the sns weigh your 16 GB TP package.
  7. @smnrock, what was the total cost you paid for 32GB touchpad shipping + customs through sns and how much it was weighed by them(weight of the 32GB package), since they calculated my hp veer with touchstone dock as 3.4 lbs for which they charged me around Rs.1800/- for only shipping even though I told them that it won't weigh that much. Do they accept the firesale price invoice or do they assess based on the market value, I've ordered a 32GB TP from onsale for around $170($149 + taxes + shipping), how would they calculate duties for that price.And one more thing is that it was ordered on my distant friend's name using his credit card, so invoice will be on his name, will it be a problem.

I think that production of another run of touchpads is to fulfill the huge backorders they have that are placed during the firesale weekend on hp.com(& some third party resellers), I've read comments left by people who ordered on hp.com but didn't get their orders got through, when they called HP CC they were told that there orders would be fulfilled when the next bunch of TP arrive, strictly basing on the order(first come first serve). So, I wonder whether we get another chance to buy TP at firesale price. @Smnrock can u tell how much it costs to get TP shipped to India through sns(shipping + custom duties), I have my TP delivered to NJ, US. I've to get it shipped from NJ to SNS, US & from there to India.

Me too have received coupon code, if any one wants to use it pm me, i think these codes will work on hp us website only(not entirely sure though) If the disappointment of missing Hp TP firesale is not enough, today i learned that while every one was going after TP firesale, there was another firesale from HP, fire sale it's smartphones, all the smartphones unlocked or contract free(pre 2, veer) except pre 3 was available for as low as $49 :o , some people were alert & grabbed the oppurtunity to buy contract free veer & pre 2 for $ 49, and I read it was available through out the TP firesale weekend(20 &21) and upto 24th(the day when Hp supposed to start the Pre 3 firesale), Man , just have to be more elert I wonder how many people would have an idea about this. And btw now the price for all unlocked smartphones became $99(double the firesale price, although everything is out of stock). I don't think hp will put up the same price as it did on that week because Hp now know that there webos products are in more demand than they were expecting can be sold much higher than they previously though after they announced their stupid decision of discontinuing webos hardware.

  16. with reference to the above I wanted to cancel the order as I said in my earlier post I have messed up with the details given, and ordered another one from amazon when deal was alive yesterday night, now I am trying to cancel the order, but can't cancel the order on the website,called bestbuy cc they asked me to call back at 6 A.M EDT, in the mean time if any one want(who has US shipping addressand can some how can get to ship here) this contact me immediately, I don't take any extra money, just need the amount paid the order $117 which reflected in my credit card around Rs.5600(with all conversion rates,taxes etc). Note: the above said price I paid is only for receiving the item to US address only not to india. I will call bestbuy cc in the evening (after 6 A.M EDT) change the shipping address if any one wants otherwise cancel the order.

    No, it's a typo error that creeped into Hp Uk website about a month ago(read here), and it's already been corrected, now on UK hp website also you would see same specs regarding hardware specs(especially about processor).

    Excellent & interesting, I have searched on internet to check whether there is any away to know whether the phone is refurbished or not. But can we(buyers) be still be cheated by sellers by changing the status of refurbished status & sell it to us?, is that possible to do that(changing the refurbished status) by any means? or is this a tamper proof & reliable option to check if the phone is refurbished or not.

    how to feed the a-key,when I put the a-key 26 decimal format & 16 character hex value & pESN in the respective spaces in the cave section of cdma workshop 2.7, it writes successfully but when after I check the values after the phone is automatically restared, the concerned spaces are showing empty again. I just don't know what is the reason for this, any thoughts on this EDIT: Just got activated the no on the phone, but calls remain hardly 10 seconds, may be a-key problem, will try to inject akey again using cdma workshop EDIT2: Seems to be Everything is ok now, call do not cut in 10 seconds. But in the phone Menu-Settings-About the phone-Status, the network still shows Sprint & MDN still shows some US number, they didn't change, how to change them to reflect the present number & network.

    With reference above issue,we've put request in webworld for manually transferring a no to the epic on wednesday,they told us that no will be transferred within 24-48hrs,we waited till yesterday & consulted webworld about the status for which they suggested to try diailing *228 to activate the phone,tried dialing *228,but it says "your phone could not be activate".Until wednesday,it was showing "the RSN will work with any prepaid,postpaid & HCC" while sending getstat <meid> to 53738,but from wednesday evening(till now) it is showing "the RSN will not work with any prepaid,postpaid&HCC" if I send the getstat sms, although I will check it out with web world guy 2morrow what happened from his side, it would be good if i get some suggestions from gurus as what would be the fault as I want to be sure there is no problem from my side, do i need upload reliance prl after phone is activated as suggested by abhi.r in reply to my post here, but how can I dial *228 without uploading reliance prl.

    I have registered two new epics(mine & my colleague's) with reliance(including Evdo) through Genius bhai, because of the lack of time for him, he could not help me with the programming. So, I have to do myself. But I am kinda new & noob in this. So here I am requesting you guys for help. I have received complete details of registration details(Akey,HDR username & password) from Genius bhai on Friday. So, me & my colleague tried to transfer one of his present reliance number to his epic by hcc, first dialed *229 followed by pin no from old handset, received msg confirming that first step is successfully completed & then dialed *228 from epic when prompted entered the same pin no but it says "Your phone could not be activated". Went to Rwebworld they too don't have any clue. Is it phone problem or some thing else(like insufficient programming)?. Till now I have only rooted the phone, uploaded Reliance Evdo 100005.prl & try to change the MCC & SID values to 404 & 14655 respectively using cdma workshop, even though the changes are being written to the phone successfully, after the phone is restarted the MCC & SID fields are being shown empty, tried this few time but same result & no idea why it is happening. So, basically our two phones are not programmed at all. So, I request you to help me in programming our phones to be usable for atleast calling & msging purpose first. For Net connection, after some search I have got 2 links:( http://mobile5.in/forums/index.php?/topic/307-configuring-netconnect-data-plan-with-optional-evdo/ ; ) is the programming explained in those links are enough if done to have both 1x & Evdo net connection in epic? So suggest me the way forward.

    ASUS Padfone According to the some of the leaks, Asus is going to announce tomorrow at Computex its new innovative product ASUS Padfone - the company's first smartphone with a tablet(to dock it with) included as an accessory and you can see in the below pictures that the phone when docked appears to be fully comsumed by the tablet when the two are merged. Here are the some cool Pics of it. The full specs will be announced at Computex tomorrow, but according to the leaked reports We can expect the tablet to be available in two colors: copper and black and save on costs and to fully take advantage of the unique integration between the phone and the tablet, ASUS will allow the camera lens to "show through" a hole in the cover that protects the phone. From this view we can also see a pair of speaker meshes, which suggests that the tablet has dual speakers.
